  1. ... now it's looking like it's heading towards seriously un-cool.... :-(
  2. OK, so it's not the Top Gear one, but look at http://www.coolwall.co.uk/ ... give the Corrado some support (even if it is a VR6!) I guess this coolwall's heavily (ab)used by mini fans - judging by their high ranking!
  3. last VIN off the production line was actually WVWZZZ50ZSK004043, last production was June 1995. Think you need to check your VIN. Mine's 003946 - only 97 from the end !!!! Some cars did hang around on dealer forecourts for a while (The Corrado was officially a sales flop after all ;-) ) hence some are registered in the UK at P.
  4. expensive hobby tho' :-) especially if you come away with a physical injury too :-( ...or if the guy in the lotus had gotten out on the side the Honda hit ... doesn't bear think about! At the start of the vid it says "lots of coolant dumped" - I think that's what causes them to spin... there's a portion of the track that looks darker...
  5. You need to measure the resistance of the sensor - some=good, lots(or infinite!)=bad. Also have a look in this thread to see if there's anyone near you who might scan your codes for you & also maybe some info on buying vag-com leads/software in there too.
  6. After having the misforune to witness some gimp miming to Jon Anderson's voice on some mash-up/re-release/mixup on TOTP on the other Friday, it prompted me to re-discover the 90125 album by Yes - what a stonker! Had it on in the C this evening... can't work out if Hold On or Changes or Leave it is my fave at the mo. And also re-discovered another 80's classic ;-) Heaven 17's "The Luxury Gap" And of course the Switcha and 2nd Angel mixes supplied by Jim have been featuring quite prominenty in my Corrado blats... :-)

    Chipping a VR6?

Take the expansion tank filler cap of and give it a sniff - if the gasket's gone you'll smell oil in the water. More likely that the oil cooler has failed - it's not a oil/air cooler like you might expect, but an oil/water cooler (heater?) and they're prone to corroding , although that usually pushes oil into the water, rather than the other way round seeing as the oil pressure is higher than the water pressure. 'Spose you might get some seepage though from water to oil when the engine's off??? As for your tuning dilema - I'd say exhaust first then get it rolling roaded and a properly mapped chip.
