  1. Does GSF do the OEM ones or is it the universal type? All i can see on their website is the universal ones.
  2. Right i've done a bit of research and I'm gonna try changing the lambda first. Where is the best place to get one? and which type do i need?
  3. 2.0l 16v. I have looked for air leaks and I can't see any, and my MOT didn't pick up anything like a blowing exhaust. So do you reckon buggered lambda, if so i;ll replace it

    Belt Slip

Its a 2.0l 16v, I'm not sure what brand of belts where used but i reckon one of them has stretched. Can they be re-tensioned? On my 30 mile journey home from work they didn't really make much noise but its awful when the car is cold. Does that sound like belts or is it the PAS pump bearings?

    Belt Slip

I had all my belts replaced just under 2 months ago. About a week ago I started to get what sounded like belt slip when i changed down a gear when slowing down. Now the noise is very loud when I pull away to. It sounds like a screech which i assume is a belt, unfortunately it only makes this noise when i;m driving. Any ideas? Oh yeah its worst when the engine in cold. Thanks.
  6. Put my car in for an MOT this weekend and it failed. Need to get some brake pipes done, N/S O/S Front Inner wing brake pipes, and the Nearside front to rear. Is this gonna cost much, and is it difficult to do yourself? But the main problem is that it failed on CO and lambda reading. The values where: First Fast Idle CO = 10.92% HC = 639 ppm Lambda = 0.7 Second Idle CO = 6.43% HC = 161 ppm (this passed) lambda = 0.82 Natural Idle CO = 11.07% Can any body point me in the right direction to what is going wrong. My first guess is probably knackerd lambda sensor?
  7. Ok cheers for the diagram, but which side is the headlight which the relay connection 86 is made?
  8. I'm trying to fit my upgraded loom. Everyone says its so easy, but i can't find the information i require. Which side does the switch wire from the dash come from on a corrado, i.e. which side connects up to terminal 86?
  9. Yep, get the brake caliper pison wind back tool, once you have one of those its easy peasy to move that piston:)
  10. With regards to "Number 1" on Cazza16v's Diagram, there is no screw on my car, its looks like a screw is missing? What should I do?
  11. Well got them off in the end. Went to a local garage and they got removed there. Cost me £40 but at least the bloody things are off now. Basically the guy got them off by wacking an old knackered locking wheel nut adaptor onto the wheel with a f**k off hammer. Did the trick nicely, just thought i'd let you know his method for those of you who end up in this situation again. Anyway thanks for your help anyway.
  12. I actually meant from peoples experience? i.e has anyone noticed it 'work' on a valver?
  13. So do these work on 2.0l 16v? For £30 sounds like it might be worth a go.
  14. I have one of these wires loose just like yours, if i touch that wire to earth on my car the rad fan comes on. So i'm not sure what is, i'd love to know to.
  15. I have had a look around for this problem cant find any immediate answers. My car starts perfectly when cold. Once up to temperature the car will stall if you let it try to idle (i.e some throttle is required to keep it running) Some times it doesn't stall and just hunts a little (around 100-150rpms up and down) sometime sounding like its going to stall. Weird bit is, if it does stall, it restarts fine, and doesn't stall again for the rest of my journey. It sounds electrical to me as when i restart after a stall its fine. Any ideas?
  16. Right I have tried bashing on a socket, couldn't get the thing on, i couldn't find a size which would go on (i was bashing at the socket with a lump hammer and it wouldn't go). I tried a reverse screw remover thingy, went down the local tire fitters and used their airtools, only to find out that the socket was a tad too big and wouldn't grip the bolt. I have found a garage who reckons they will remove all 4 for £35, so i think thats my only option. God damn it! wish i hadn't lost that adaptor now!
  17. I would say that if it feels like your in third, then maybe you actually are in third. Those revs for 60mph sound way to high for it to be 5th.
  18. So did you go through 4 sockets then, one for each wheel? I imagine once you hammer a socket on the socket get destroyed and that you wouldn't get the bolt out the socket afterwards?
  19. Right went to halfords last night after work. There are loads of different types but they all look similar. As far as i know i don't have the number of the key so it looks like it isn't going to be easy. I don't really like the idea of destroying 4 sockets getting them off.
  20. Sorry about the double post, my internet connection was playing up so I had a look and my post wasn;t there so i made it again. That will be why there is a repeat.Sorry. Thanks for all your help, I tried VW they weren't very helpful. I'll have a look in halfords see how I get on.
  21. Seem to have miss placed my locking wheel nut adaptor I have included an image can someone let me know if they have had the same type before and what they did to get them off without an adaptor? Is it possible to get a replacement adaptor?
  22. They look like the early type rather than the late type. But if this is what you need then they look pretty good mate.
  23. OK so is there any way you can control the mixture or does the lambda do all this?
  24. Does anyone have a photo of where the mixture screw is on a 2.0l 16v Corrado (9a engine code). I have looked around on the forum and can't find an adequate description, either that or my car is missing it.
  25. What do i need to lower my C. I was looking at the J-Tec Springs, and then I was looking at the Evo Racing Kit the do on ebay. Anyone know whats best as I have searched the forum and not really found the answer I need?
