Did mine tax online at about 5pm on monday, the disc came through the door this morning. Very pleased how quick it came (although i don't need it till the end of the month)

So is it possible to fit a VR one for that extra cooling? or is it not worth the hassle?

GSF only lists one part for a new radiator for a Corrado. I was thinking of maybe getting a new radiator and putting new coolant in my car before the summer weather. Are all corrado rads the same or does the VR6 one listed in GSF different to a 2.0 16v one. Cheers

Or it could be the contacts on the blower switch itself. This happpened on my car, I replaced the fuse and nothing changed and I was very confused. It wasn't till i started messing around with the switch that i noticed it was the contacts that weren't connecting. I just bent the contact till they worked on all settings..... job done!

Well Silverstone had a Ferrari weekend this weekend. There was hundreds there. I went up and had a look at them all (one of the perks of working there part time). That could have explained part of your experience but not the other cars i'm afraid. I have some dry spells in seeing Corrados and then other weeks a seen loads, its rather weird.

To be honest reading your complaints my first impression was lambda sensor or the wiring related to it (this is more likely if the problem is on and off). But if it doesn't have one then i'm unsure what it could be. But if you are likely to be losing your license I wouldn't be worrying about spending money on the car to be honest.

You didn't undo a exhaust manifold bolt or something while you were in there working. The KR cam change doesn't make your engine sounds any different. It sounds stock when sat still.

I can't really see much in the bottom picture, but the top one looks correct. Assuming your engine is currently stuck at TDC then your alright. They way i check the cams are aligned correctly is by putting something like a stanley knive blade flat on the head (behind the cam). The marks on the cams should line up with the stanley knive blade. Hope that makes sense. Anyway, the top image is the way my cams where when I put the KR cam in my car and it has run fine since i put it in.

Is that what the standard suspension looks like? It looks like a 4x4. My car came looking lower than that, unless my car had been lowered in the past.

Cheers crasher, is that the 2.0l KE part number or the K-jet 1.8? Just double checking.

I have read that thread a few times and I can't make my mind up on which brand is 'the best'. I had heard good things about milltek and they are reasonably priced where as, from what i can see magnex is about 10% more expensive. Its really hard to decide what to do, especially when one is going to spend ~£350 on a new exhaust setup.

My other choice was probably a Milltek Exhaust. They list two kits for CAT back. the 22F00 and the 22F01. Not sure which one is right, my car is a K plate 2.0l 16v.

I would like to order a supersprint exhaust for my 2.0l 16v from motorsportworld (they seem the best value around). I'm a bit unsure what parts to order. Is all I need is one of the 1.8/g60 backboxes listed and the component listed as "Centre Section + Front Pipe Stainless diam 54mm (>91)", or will i still be missing some parts. Cheers for you help in advance

Is there a difference between the g60 cat converter and the 16v one? Are the parts interchangeable?

Maybe i should just bit the bullet and buy a new cat. I'm in the process of buying a house so i didn't really want to spend much money. I suppose i could get a de-cat till the winter my MOT isn't due for ages. If I could get the de-cat mentioned earlier to fit then it wouldn't be that bad as it cost a lot less than a new cat!

I was under the impression that it is possible to pass the MOT if your fueling is setup right and have a working lambda?

My cat has been making a horrible rattle inside for some time now, and i think its finally blowing which is ok at the moment, but i want to do something before it gets too loud. http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/store/prod ... 11&xSec=87 Would the above de-cat pipe fit my car? In the picture it has mounting flange on both ends where my current cat only has one at the down pipe (with 3 bolts) and the back end of the cat is connected to the rest of the exhaust via a standard U-shaped bolt thingy.

Did it make much difference to the cooling effect with a new rad? Did you notice any lower temps?

Well its not that silly actually, the noise only ever occurs when the engine is hot, me and my dad where thinking it could be the exhaust but we thought it was more probable to be a rotational part. I've not really looked around the down pipe on my car, is there a heat shield like on the cat? or are you refering to the metal plate which runs down the back of the bulkhead in the engine bay?

Right have been doing a bit more "data gathering" so to speak. The ticking only happens when accelerating, it does not happen when there is no load on the engine. (i.e. in gear.). The ticking doesn't really speed up with engine revs like cam noise does. It speeds up a wee bit but not loads. Which makes me think it might be something on the auxiliary belt circuit making a racket. I took my old man out in the car with me and he couldn't really hear anything passenger side where it was audible on the drivers side. This possibly confirms my suspicions. Is there anything that could possibly be making a "ticking" noise that is driven via one of the aux belts? If so, any tips on diagnosing what it could be. Cheers for your help peeps
