Actually sod that i'm going all red - don't like the idea of having clear side repeaters/front end with half smoked rears...mixed with plain pressed metal plates & BBS RS301's i think it'll work nicely  i've heard of a guy on ebay who will spray OEM tailights red or smoked + i'm fairly sure there's info online on how to do it yourself - will try & post a couple of links in a bit if i can find them...
-
That's ruff - may be worth trying to get a refund...i think i'm going to have to look into modifying the OEM tailights, but i won't be able to go half red/half clear...more light half red/half smoked :(
-
Yeah that's what i thought, there's gotta be some alternatives tho - i suppose the best bet is to phone around the usual places like Awsome/Venom/R&A...
-
Anyone know if Hella make these ? - not really into the Inpro/FK style, but don't want the OEM red/orange :| Ideally after a half red half clear (not crystal )

yup same here, uprating the suspension on my C transformed what i thought about the car,the CDA has just done the same again :D

got mine about a week ago from Gwent VW/Audi for £140 incl VAT but not incl delivery  fitted it last frid just before a trip to London & i'm very happy with it to say the least. having read peoples comments on a various forums i expected it to be a quality bit of kit,but nothing prepared me for the noise this thing makes...i really didn't think a VR6 could sound that good & i'm running a standard exhaust system ! i noticed a slight increase in power but i've yet to fit the cold air intake & the weather was on the warm side last weekend,so i'll save my comments on that until it's set up properly - i'm expecting it to be a little quiter when this is done...
-
no probs :)

been looking @ a few air filter/induction kits & am wondering which one to go for. general consensus seems to be the BMC CDA but i've heard negative things about induction kits due to the fact that if you submerge the intake &/or take in water then it can seriously damage your engine :( also i've spoken to a couple of racing drivers/mechanics & they favour the old school cone filter setup with a quality heat shield over the induction kits....i'm confused :| models i've been looking @ are : - BMC CDA Carbonio Cold Air Intake Ram Air Pro Ram Raid HP Carbon fibre induction kit (like the CDA but with the filter mounted @ the front - Raid HP = Ram Air,same company) Turn 2 Cold Air induction system Neuspeed P-Flo Air Intake Kit with Composite heat shield K&N 57i anyone got any ideas :?:

give this place a try - http://www.europerformance.co.uk i think you may need 2 x tools/spanners to adjust the coilovers (could be wrong) they sell the full H&R range so i would have thought they will have what your after...

Bilstein PSS Coilovers (Previously H&R Coilovers)
AmbisoniK replied to AmbisoniK's topic in Drivetrain
well i fitted them + all the new OE suspension components & got the tracking/camber sorted to -1.5 been on the car for a few days now & all i can say is i'm well happy. i'm running 'standard' ride height for now until i get my BBS RS 301 rims on & get the arches rolled. i say 'standard' because the car has dropped @ least an inch over the OE height without any adjustment to the coilovers...which is nice :) contrary to the popular belief that Bilstein PSS's are supposed to give a hard ride i've found them to be only a little more so than standard, yet corner very very flat to the point where i havent found the limits of the handling ability yet & that's with standard speedlines on ! (& believe me i've tried). obviously i gave it a couple of days for the suspension to settle before really pushing it. would definitely recommend them. to sum up there built to last, are very heavy duty, the ride is not too harsh @ all & above all handle superbly well... -
I'd definitely take them off - the lines look so much cleaner, especially on the Satin Silver or any light coloured Corrado - here's an example : - before...
-
no probs - you caught me @ the right time as i've just been thru the same scenario, working out what to replace etc before the new suspension goes on early next week, take it easy, Meredith

On the VR6, the Neuspeed front bar comes with poly bushes and that's it. You reuse the existing drop links. nice one Kev - didn't realise that :)

personally i'm going with OE Bushes etc as the Powerflex components transmit a fair bit of shock into the cabin over poor roads & if you go with coilovers it would probably be even more so than an uprated damper/spring setup - depends how hardcore you want to go. you may need bumpstops (OE or uprated like Bonrath or Powerflex) as well if you take the non coilover route - sometimes there included in the package, sometimes not. here's what i would go with - - Wishbone L+R (including pre pressed Bushes & Ball Joints) - Top Mount Bearings - Anti Roll Bar Bushes - Drop Links - Track Rod Ends - Rear Beam Bushes also if you buy coilovers make sure the tool (sometimes two) is included. the ARB parts i've listed (Bushes + Drop links) will vary depending on what you plan to do - i'm going to upgrade to the Eibach kit eventually (should do it @ the same time really but i can't afford it),but if your planning on buying the Neuspeed setup @ some point both these parts come included in the kit & use uprated components. your looking @ about £200 for what i've listed above OE (poss a bit less for Powerflex !)+ probably about £250 to get everything fitted not including Camber/Geometry setup (£35 upwards depending on where you go). i bought all my parts from Jeff @ Eurocarparts Bristol hope that helps

Bilstein PSS Coilovers (Previously H&R Coilovers)
AmbisoniK replied to AmbisoniK's topic in Drivetrain
well i bought a set of Bilstein PSS Coilovers today, thanks for everyones input :) ...got them for a good price/deal from Eurocarparts Bristol with basically most of the old suspension parts being replaced with new OEM parts - Rear Beam Bushes,Topmounts + Bearings,Wishbones + Ball Joints,ARB Bushes/Track Rod Ends/Drop Links etc. thought it would be a good idea to replace any suspension parts now,so i ain't got any problems with it later on & hopefully get that 'new car' feel on the ride. thought about going Powerflex with the Bushes etc.but decided against it as i expect the ride is gonna be quite hard anyway (if my Bro's Golf VR6 with Bilstein/Eibach/Powerflex setup is anything to go by !) & in Newport the roads look like the surface of the moon (huge craters everywhere) - the council needs shooting :2gunfire: anyways will let you know what i think of them & post some pictures when i eventually get them fitted
