  1. Look a f**k of a of better than those abortions on page 1 - in reality i think they would look more like 928 rims as in pretty phat.
  2. Carbon skin the roof & lose the sunroof/motor etc altogether :D
  3. What about these on a C? Please could someone chop them? Here you go,not sure what size these are,i'm assuming 16" but the scale in the picture is closer to 17" - bit of a quick effort but hey :D
  4. Been out snowboarding in Morzine this week flying from Geneva,as the show is right next to the airport i was kinda hoping to pop in there this morning to get a look but just didn't have the time - gutted !
  5. Yeah this thing is a complete corporate buffle - it just looks so god dam bland from almost every angle. the interiors nice but it's not hard to see where they got the inspiration for the seat design from, just look at Edition 38 or any major Vee Dub show last year, - what was that anti modding campaign they launched a few years back ?! here's some more blandness: http://www.vwvortex.com/artman/publish/ ... 2235.shtml i agree with the comments on here,if it's meant to be a coupe then make it a coupe, not some half assed half way house between the MK5 & MK6 Golf !
  6. Too late mate - check your thread 'Breaking N reg 1995 corrado vr6',i've listed some parts i want from you anyways :) i think i might have bought a clutch slave cylinder off you a couple of weeks back BTW (came over from Grants) - are you the guy with two burgundy VR6's ?
  7. Also to answer my own question no a 2002 1.9 TDI Ford Galaxy Alternator will not fit a Corrado VR6 !
  8. In the unlikely event of this thread ever being of any use to anyone here's the part numbers for a BOSCH 120A alternator that will fit a Corrado VR6 OEM Reference: 0123510053 VOLKSWAGEN: 021903025G for the record this alternator was also fitted as OEM equipment to a ford Galaxy VR6,Passat VR6,Sharan VR6,Vento VR6 & Transporter 2.8 V6,so you know where to look if your after one cheap :D
  9. Just to update, i managed to source a used 120A Bosch for an ABV engine from Volks-Apart for £50+ Vat will post the part number(s) up here when i get it :thumbleft:
  10. Yeah pretty dam sure :? no bother though Volks-Apart seem to have a decent cheap selection of used alternators,i just wanted to uprate mine a little as my engine has a habit of chewing up alternators/batteries. does anyone have any idea of the part number(s) for the 120A alternators that came with some Corrados fitted with air con ? Cheers.
  11. As above basically,it's a bosch 120 amp alternator VW part number: 028 903 028 E
  12. Those buildings in the photo's/youtube look quite familiar - your not from Newport are you ?
  13. Gotta admire your dedication & obvious enthusiasm/love of your work ! (& it is bloody hard work !) i'm going to try the swirl removal techniques you've outlined in this thread & see how it pans out..may even save me a full respray !..top thread man :thumb right:
  14. The Corrado sections a bit limited at the moment so i thought i'd have a go @ it's predecessor

I got the Schrick 268/272 split profile cams as you can see from my sig & it's fairly lumpy @ idle - enough to move the front end of the car up & down..i have got uprated engine mounts all round though which is bound to accentuate it..

Yeah that'll be the cams mate - i had to raise the idle on mine to about 600rpm just above the cut off point where it stalls

It is once the gearbox is out Try VAG ? Not sure about the 3.68 but not with the 3.94 unless you raise the rev limit - 7000 rpm = 56mph approx (according to my GPS) Yes & no - tbh i've noticed very little difference (although i had everything done @ the same time),but if you've got the box out you may as well do everything while you can ! - it's possible to pick up fidanza flywheels very cheaply in the US..

Thought as much, nice one for the info. think i'll swap to the 3.68 next time i'm doing any gearbox work..going to have to live with what i've got for the time being though. it's good fun but with the other mods i have included fuel consumptions 15-16mpg around town,22-24mpg on the motorway taking it easy - not too clever !

Whats the top end with a 3.94 FD with standard rev limiter ? i thought it was around 149mph but after a controlled experiment  it seems to be quite a bit less 135-140mph ?
  20. Yup just about - you should be fine with ride height..like i said it drops about an inch straight out of the box,but still feels pretty heigh..i've lowered mine as low as it will go without removing the rear helper springs & there's still room to drop it another 2-3cm Nope i would have thought you can set up the PSS9 kit exactly how you want it - very hard to very soft..all it does is give you adjustabilty (compression and rebound) over the PSS kit..if your feeling flush buy this kit,but to be honest the standard PSS kit should meet your needs unless you do a lot of track days etc.. you may well find you can buy the H&R kit for around £150 cheaper than the Bilstein PSS kit,for that sort of money (ie £550) i would be seriously tempted because there's not much to choose between them. altough friends who have been in my Corrado & another fitted with H&R's have said they prefere the ride in mine,i'd be quite happy with either TBH..
  21. Yeah i noticed..i nearly bought them myself - think you got a bargain there !
  22. Not exactly smoother than standard, but i was surprised by how subtle the ride was/is,just make sure you keep the topmounts/bushes standard (& replace them @ the same time as you do the coilovers if they haven't been done recently) or it'll be a totally different story. IIRC the car dropped about an inch as soon as i fitted them without touching the coilovers - it's not really possible without removing the rear helper springs to lower them too much as the back coilovers run out of thread pretty quickly unlike the H&R's..
  23. Thanks mate .. i don't need new top mounts though as the car is virtually brand new - can you pm me a price minus topmounts ?
