been talkin to these guys http://www.styledynamix.co.uk about brock b2s and tyres i first of all asked about brocks being available in 4 stud which they are and obviously sizes i was thinkin 9x16 all round but their suggesting i go for 7.5x16 at the front so i dont need arch work done now i dont mind havin arch work done but ill have to get it to a bodyshop do you guys think it will look odd to have 7.5 at the front and 9s at the rear iv got coilovers ready to go on as well. just after yr opinions really also there sayin i go for 205/40/16 tyres will these give a stretched look? :?

wot make of locking system you got ie the name on the fob as i had exactly the same problem and eventually my imobiliser failed and stopped my car from startin quite embarrising when you gotta sit for a hour in the car before it will start agiain. not sure if it was connected with the central locking but it got on my tits so much i had the lot changed and all is good, and i got money off my insurance which is always good   My corrado had a pirana system origionally which i was told has a bad reputation for this sort of thing!!

hi mate when my HG went on my valver the coolant was pissin out of the exhaust manifold turned out one of the valves had been smashed off and caused a dent in the head luckily it was able to be machined out, hopefully this is not the case for you!! :(

the squeaking could also be your power steering belt, although if youve lost a tensioner bolt then your belt wont be correctly tensioned causing it to squeak. does it overheat completely? :?
-
yer cheers, i found this to but felt it didnt answer everythin so thought someone on ere could help

My C hits these temps to on hot days but since havin head gasket done has now generally sits around 90- 100 but as said on hot days can still reach 110 and mines a valver

anyone???? please help been wantin new rims for ages now!!
-
im looking into finally after eveythin is now sorted on my Corrado some new rims. likin the Brock B2s and done a search and see dubmeister sell em but i dont understand this jargon 9x16 et15 rather than just askin will these fit can someone explain the numbers so i can actually learn somethin might be a dumb question but if i understood it it will at least mean somethin to me!! also from the piccie on 9x16 et15 they look like they are 5 stud but my current wheels are only 4 stud do i have to find 4 stud wheels or can you buy like a converter. my corrado is a valver 2.0l and i have bought sum coilovers from g-werks KW varient 1s so ride height wont be a problem and if nessecary i dont mind gettin the arches rolled.

managed to get all four callipers done this weekend 3 coats of hammerite smooth yellow and they ve come up a treat heres some piccies im well chuffed :D :D  8) with the result although being yellow took a few coats to get good coverage without any runs, as you can see i did mine in situ using a steady hand and sum masking tape. i used a wire wheel drill attachment which really made light work of cleaning them up goin careful of the hoses then used sum pre-paint de-greaser to clean them masked them up few coats and painted callipers and only cost a fiver. a tip i found when painting though paint from the front to the back as the brush tends to pick up the crud from the back that you just cant get to and you end up transfering it to the front which dont look to good!!

just been upto halfords and price difference is massive £9.99 for dedicated caliper paint 250ml or £2.79 for hammerite smooth 250 ml hmmmm think ill go for.... Hammerite plus it says just a quick clean up and paint straight on no primer etc as mentioned above. should be a good mod for the weekend cheers for replys fellas

thinkin of painting my callipers this weekend, done a search and see a couple of you have already done this and have decided to go with halfords caliper paint but dont know wether to go with brush paint or from a spray can any suggestions? also my raddo is red and i was thinkin of goin for yellow callipers, what primer is best to use as this must also me VHT paint to withstand the heat can you get a vht primer or is it straight on with the calliper paint and should it be a coloured primer or just a standard grey primer? any help much appriciated :D

Corrado is well again turned out to be the Oxygen sensor AKA Lamba Sensor so im well happy quick fix as it had only become disconected so now reconected and the C is alive and kicking once again :D :D :D :) 8)
-
have you had to tamper with the oxygen sensor Lamba sensor as my Corrado had lack of power as you described and it was where the lamba sensor had become disconected causing it to start poory and run rough a shot in the dark but thought it might be worth mentioning :?
-
right fellas got to drive the C this evening and started first time as usual but then ran really sh*t which is usual at the moment coughing and spluttering and almost stalling at idle with no power, however whilst driving it seemed to have sorted itself out and was fine apart from the odd splutter, now i dont know if this is connected but since this started happening its been the first hot and sunny day today and didnt know if it was electrical and the damp was causing it to short itself????? Also as mentioned above i have just had the head gasket done and people at work have said that the head bolts should be re-torqued after a while the garage didnt mention anything about this and so hasnt been done but didnt know if this was the cause perhaps, lack of compression???? what are your thoughts!!
-
the reason why it could b overheating with the cap off is because pressurised water doesnt boil so if you havent got your cap on it will boil over
-
wot colour is yr cap on your header tank sometimes the o-ring in the old black caps gets twisted inside the cap making it overheat, i had simular problem and was told to get a blue cap from vag not gsf!! or it could b yr heater matrix

My C has started to suffer from this virus that seems to be goin round, its got an ideling problem, it doesnt sit well in traffic and when you accelerate you get nothin apart from a muffle and then vrrrrmmmm off it goes, ive searched round the engine and found a piece of tape on this pipe covering a split I have just had Head gasket done so i belive mechanic has put the tape on there and now has come loose causing problems. :x it is the piece with the little yellow knob which has got a split bout an 1" long and if i open the split up as it is in the consetina part, the engine stalls and dies is this the reason why its running rough. Its a 2.0l 16v 1992 if this is the part wots it called how much and where can i get one from tried VAG but not sure wot the part is called so little tricky obviously somthin to do with air intake i guess

Right in need of your help as above my head gasket went on my valver the head been off machined and put back on, new gasket, apparently it started and my mechanic drove it up the road, switched it off and now wont start again he seems to think its the lamba sensor that got drowned due to all the water coolant in the exhaust, new sensor on order, but my mechanic doesnt seem to hopeful, bit concerned!! so just wondering if this has happened to anyone else and any suggestions as to what it might be i hope this isnt the end of my C!!
