Heater matrix... can it be fixed with rad weld?!

had this done a couple of weeks ago in my VR6..Started with steam and then lurvely brown water spitting at the windscreen. Graham (nemesis360...on here) did it for me. As he said it looks a worse job than it is which is just as well as part way through my interior looked a bomb had gone off in it!!!! :D Took about 5 hours in all...many cups of tea and a bacon sarnie!!! -
Sure do...cheapest by far..

is this stuff (g12+) available from VW ?
-
well there you go ...now who feels a prat...lol cheers

-
are there many G40 polos about...I aint never come across one.
-
i assumed the digi one was water temp??? isnt it? now you got me thinking.
-
Which temp guage is the more accurate. the analog needle in the cash or the computer readout out. Ive had the comp reading 105 and the needle not above the 100deg mark?? Odd! And are the mpg readouits accurate??? if so ive been getting 36 to 38mpg out of a VR6 which cant be bad. :)

Yeah i liked the idea of not having cd's all over the place really and this unit seemed quite a good idea..Next thing is get some 6x9's to make it sound good too. Liked the links to the corrado ads and Top Gear!!! Had to laugh..kids bought me the Richard Hammond "what to Drive What not to Drive" and the inside the top two cars cars to have from the 80's and 90's apparently are the Corrado and the 205 1.6gti.. :) Seems i'm not such a wally after all  All i need to do now is resurrect my Patterned wooly jumpers and Shell Suite and my kids will love me forever!!!!...wont they?? lol
-
I'll ignore the large nut gag opportunity..lol so bloody big allen key it then. cheers. Clutch £100 is it a long job?
-
Is there a seperate dip stick for that?...or a reservoir? As you can tell you rae dealing with a complete nerd here.
-
85500...doesnt look as though its been done yet judging by the receipts that came with the car.
-
So it sounds like it could be expensive then!!!...How much are clutches?
-
yeah i guess so....dont have to press the pedal down too far.
-
Whilst on tick over and driving there's a constant squeak coming from the engine bay. However when i push the clutch in it disappears???. Any ideas and should i get my chequebook ready?
