  1. Good God man you arent supposed to take the car out the rain !!!!!   Thats just asking for trouble
  2. I would give it a break if it wasn't for the fact that the brakes are one of the flaws..   I think the biggest flaw is that with all these flaws we still wouldn't swap it for anything else
  3. I particulary like the way the floor mat pins snap off and allow the mats ruck up behind the brake pedal every time you get in..lol and the way you can replace the heater themostat and the heater controls as many times as you want and it makes absolutely sod all difference
  4. I'll take two please :D http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/news/autoe ... eague.html
  5. Thats not knowledge thats just age mate :( Chris Goffey...awesome beard..lol
  6. Why why why do people spend thousands on a basic spec model of a car when they can get a 3 or 4 year old one, spend a hell of a lot less money and get a higher spec version. Used to amaze me on new reg days when all of these 1.1L versions of cars used to sudeenly appear on the streets and their owners thought they were the dogs bollx. Seems pointles to me. Save yourself a few quid buy an older car and get the better spec model. Simple.
  7. I'm lucky.. I have a girlfriend who not only loves to drive mine ( I let her cos she normally has to drive a Tdi  ) but totally understands those frequent moments when something else goes tits up with the thing, sending my ability to articulate properly right out the window cos she knows that when I get it fixed (again) having spent the time looking for alternatives, get in it and drive it I'll walk back through the door with a bloody great big smile on me face. Its nice kicking those trumped up hoody dudes in their Gti's into touch on the dual carriage way into town tho.. They sit at the lights with exhaust pipes that are quicker than their cars and look horrified as you nod knowingly at them through the passenger window (Corrados should never be on the inside lane) floor it and then p#ss off into the distance leaving them wondering where the f@@k you've gone lol.
  8. Hes the unknown relative of William Woolard who was one of the original presenters of Top Gear in the days when they actually reviewed cars people were likely to buy..lol
  9. Ive just lost the will to live :gag:
  10. Wheres Michael Woolard when we need him !!!! :notworthy:
  11. The shows both have problems...5th gear are constantly copying Top Gear stunts...(running a car on cooking oil for one springs to mind. top gear did it a couple of years ago then 5th gear do it this year) and claim it to an orginal trial. The BIG BIG BIG problem with Top Gear is it's become the "Jeremy Clarkson Show" and they've lost the idea of reviewing cars and motoring unless its got 500bhp and costs half a million quid!!!. Cant recall a proper in depth review of a car for everyone without comparing to a racer of some kind or doing some kind of stupid race with bmw bikes or something. Shame really cos Top Gear used to be "THE" prog to tune into if you wanted to know what cars were coming up and how bad or good they were. Nopw tho its just sooooooooooooo cheeeseyly scripted that sometimes you just help but cringe.
  12. Can anyone tell me what is meant by an amp being "bridgeable"?
  13. Could I just plug this straight into my "sony giga panel head unit" to run a sub off?
  14. "I was reading an article about the new Scirocco today and the article mentioned a few of the reasons that the Corrado failed to sell well and why it was so expensive. One this they mentioned was the passive rear steering." They also said the Corrado had a problem with timing belts?...thought they had chains? Performance Car mag report.
  15. Barbie is alive and well and totally ruining superb cars!!!! :gag: :gag: :gag: :gag: :gag: :gag: Ebay - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0266294679 Edit: Link to hotness added for the lazy - dinkus

Is it worth chipping a Vr6?.. do you get much if you and what would be the best one to go forr?
  17. If you go on Ebay there's lots of handbags for sale and you slap each with them...
  18. Totally agree mate...kids aren't born arseholes their upbringing creates it. Some are dragged down by the area they live in, the people around them but mainly by their parents. I work with teenage kids who's homelife is (to be brutely honest) absolute shite. Parents who dont give a flying F@*k about them, treat them as a burden rather than someone they should have to take responsibilty for. Some may say and quite rightly that thats no excuse for anti social behaviour trouble is their role models are the kind of people that (if they dont activiley encourage it) do sweet F.A to prevent so it becomes the norm. Most of the kids are actually nice lads when you take the time and put the effort in to talk to them and some of them are desperate to get out of the shithole life/parents has dealt them. One or two make it,put the effort in and stick their up above the parrapit, its keeping it there thats the problem. Mind you they do know if they touch my car I know where that canoe is stashed..lol
  19. im sure the inference was his welfare in later life.. :| Just as a matter of interest at what age would it acceptable to express that view about some dick who basically nicks a car, totals it and could have killed someone else? :cuckoo: 17?..18? or 24months? I know if it had been my car the little sod had nicked i'd be sticking him in bloody canoe and shoving him off to sea!!!!!
  20. Too true.. (praying I dont prang the front or rear bumpers) :pale:
  21. I must must must get around to replacing the split plastic trim on top of the door interior..only been outstanding for a year so far. Not bad going..
  22. The rack feels a bit stiff at the mo compared to the old one..not quite as smooth. I guess that'll change with use and any ait works its way out of the system. I thought £330 all in inc MOT was pretty good.
  23. The whole job inc mot came to £330 inc VAT...
  24. Turns out it wasn't the pump afterall..steering rack instead. Cars back now although my stepson who's at the garage on work experience has put the steering wheel back on at 45deg..lol So he's got to redo that tommorrow morning  I've threatened to put a spazzy pic of him on here if the doesn't get it right too. I'm checking brakes and stuff over the weekend just in case.
  25. Actually you'll find it easier to get a desk fan from the office and buy a coal fire for heat and stick them both in the passenger footwell :D
