  1. Do you have a tracker or alarm fitted? I had a tracker causing a huge drain even though it was allegedly disconnected, it would give me a flat after 3 days. So i ripped the bugger out. As for the CL, lock your car and stand by it for a few minutes if you keep hearing a clicking then its boogered...again mine isn't great but after a few clicks it is quiet again, so its on its way out and will need replacing eventually.
  2. or hang out on street corners at night.....

    Torque to me

Wotcher chaps and chapesses, I'm after the torque settings for the front wheel bolts. The wiki lists the rears as being 110 Nm, are the fronts the same? Did a quick search but being at work can't really spend too long going through endless threads. Thanks very much, the 'dude.
  8. I think its only natural, after all F1 has always been the preserve of rich white kids. Never mind drivers, how many black people do you see working on the teams in F1? I can't remember seeing any. He is the first mixed racer (pun intended) ever to win, if he was Chinese or Indian it would be the same.
  9. So now this technology has been proven in a few members cars. How much would a well set up turbo conversion cost. Say with a std unstrengthened 12V block? How far do you want to go ,how much power you want , how much work you can do your self. Its hard to put a price on it. I've spent near on £5k ,JKM done mine .But thats with lot of fab work been done, emerald management, 3'' full exhaust system, uprated clutch, engine mounts , etc, etc. Its well worth every penny when you put your foot to the floor with 400bhp  Shhh, you're giving me bad, expensive thoughts. :ignore:
  10. lol @ was8v i think the offset is a bit out too - but its ok, he's got rails on the doors to avoid scrapes! i'm guessing its one of those 'turn left' us racers.
  11. Been looking at that metal ready stuff, is it any good? where d'ya get it from?
  12. Mmm, that is nice. I can't really add much to this except I am happy with my V9 and 300 horses, but as George W. has shown, once you have power you always want more and it won't be long before I start thinking about upping the ante. I think this may be the answer As seen at the 20th anniversary, R32 Bi-turbo
  13. I know its only the provisional price, but I'd still shell out the extra 650 quid!
  14. also check there's somewhere near you that does refills, was talking to the owner of tuning werkes the other day and he said they had to stop doing it as the nearest refilling place was too far away for it to be worthwhile.
  15. Hi guys, I bought one of the meth/water cooling kits from the SP group buy a while ago. Now I am in the process of getting the beggar fitted I was just wondering if I could pick your brains about the best place to put the injector nozzle. I have a V9 Opinions please? Thanks in advance. ps - its been a mare trying to squeeze that huge pump in the engine bay!
  16. Yeah, that's the problem I've got now. Should have gone turbo. Good luck! :)
  17. Lunatic...I tip my hat to you sir, some serious effort being put in here. Sorry to hear about your arm too, bummer dude.
  18. Yeah, it was pretty scary. It seems like he just bodges and welds as he goes along with no thought to safety or proper balancing. I'm surprised it hasn't lunched its way thru the gearbox yet. The painting skills take the biscuit too, the way he has painted the u-joints on the prop, or the way most things have the paint peeling already or rust showing thru. Did you see the vid of them first starting it? It sounded like a very ill 30 year old fiesta! Thank god he's a ricer.
  19. Rock on. Cheers guys. Now if only my car wasn't in the garage having money spent on it. :(
  20. 5 1/2 years later..... on the subject of removing the rear vr6 badge, as its just a stick on jobbie that's still on after years, what's the best way of getting it off without nailing the paint? cheers.
  21. Caterham's just round the corner from me. I remember biking down to the garage as a kid and looking in the window to drool over the cars. Occasionally you'd see one being taken for a spirited test drive. Supercool cars.
  22. I have the same problem with the Rado! Nick Really? With the C3 you can see the windscreen wipers but nothing beyond. Muy peligroso.
  23. Back from the dead! Drove my housemate's C3 the other day. There wasn't one aspect I liked about it. Gutless, brakes too hard, rolls thru corners, A-pillar obscures the view going round corners, clutch is way high, can't see the end of the bonnet...the list could go on.
