  1. Cheers Yan. :notworthy: Thanks Nick, but if is not mac compatible then I might as well stick with Vagcat.
  2. Sorry chap, my 312s used to fade frequently..... one common scenario was coming off a particular slip road at 100mph, which was downhill. A big work out for any brakes! But the 312s couldn't hack it all. Not many brakes resist fade on that particular road. But I hate to say it, I can barrel down that road at 130mph with AP racings and they just do not fade at all......ever. Had them on for nearly 3 years now, second set of pads, with grooved discs :D But as I say, I think I just drive too hard..... OK, I stand corrected then....guess I'm not as much of a loon as you are! But i find fade is much less noticable than on my old disAstra Gsi at any rate.
  3. I would personally avoid all grooved/drilled discs as they eat away at the pads quicker and give less surface area for braking. There is an arguement about brake fade, but when was the last time you got serious brake fade? For me, I've only ever got it on the 'Ring, where I warped my discs anyway!
  4. so what advanatges do getting the goodridges give?
  5. No, its a black Mk3 on RS4 reps - which is probably why he prefers them to the THs.
  6. Hey guys, just a few quick q's about these programs that someone could confirm for me please. 1. From what I can understand ETKA is the dealer version and ETOS is the public version. 2. They both list parts with numbers, but not a Haynes style way (ie take this bit off, then that bit) 3. They are PC only (no mac) 4. Vagcat.com is identical, just an online version. 5. Where can I get a copy from (if its mac compatible?) Cheers dudes.
  7. You said it, I'm gonna make this one of my main priorities now, even if I have to get one from the U.S. of A
  8. It stops rain being soaked up into the air filter and I suppose helps when you go thru a big old puddle by not sucking it up into your engine. This is cool, I didn't know anything existed like this, I can see it being very useful for FI applications where the filter has replaced the carbon canister. Let me know if you find them anywhere jamminvr6storm. http://www.knfilters.com/wraps.htm Drychargers about halfway down.
  9. This is the best i could do with this, anyone think they can do better pm me for the original pic.
  10. just registered, about bloody time. hope it worked!
  11. Quick update: Well I've been hooning about on the new wheels for a couple of weeks now and what a difference! With the 18s it was so crashy, I winced and feared for my car every time I went over the slightest bump and I was constantly fighting tramlining. Now, I can go over bumps and nothing goes thunk or bang and the tramlining has become a thing of the past. Basically before changing the wheels I was thinking of starting to replace all the steering bits cos I wasn't happy with the handling, but now I think I can leave it and spend money on making her go faster! W00T! The meth kit goes on next week as do the 288s. :)
  12. I'm gonna paint mine hammerite silver as i've got a dark body and anthracite wheels.
  13. i'm struggling to see how it would fit and actually why you need it?...maybe if you had a massive build thread then we could all lick your batty and be able to see at the same time? ;)
  14. I'm sure I could vent spleen for another few pages  but nothing constructive, no. edit - it would appear i was in a bad mood on friday! lol
  15. I'd rather be a kiss @rse than a c*nt. Anyway, I was only using cheesewire's C as an example which I don't regard as licking butt.
  16. F*ck that, I'll meet you behind the bikesheds after school and we can sort this out like children once and for all.
  17. Nobody here is having a go at Jay so stop your trolling. P.S  Too right Leonard. I had written a big lengthy response but I figured since he was banned what's the point. Anyway I can always go on ED if I want a slanging match. Which I might just do if I have a few drinks tonight.... Go THOR!
  18. I think its cos he lives in Germany. Anyway, I wasn't having a go at Jay or his car, its a top quality machine, the work he did all by himself for himself and it was to a very high standard and the resulting fame was a by-product - the problem I have is like Rob said, when people throw their credit cards at a car just so they have something to show off. Not having the skills is one thing, but modding to just impress is another. Which is why I'm happy to see Vik is gonna do with it what he wants and screw everyone else. And now I'll shut my big, foot containing mouth and throw my shovel away.
  19. I went to my local ice shop and bunged them 2 quid to get it out, but IIRC there are 4 small holes that you poke the tool into and this releases the radio from the cage.
  20. Hmmm, guess the lifetime ban didn't register in his brain. If he has one. What I find funny is the amount of time, money and effort Kev has put into his car, but he doesn't go running off to the shows or mags trying to show it off or have a massive build thread, so therefore he knows nothing in your eyes. Some people aren't interested in that. Oh, and I'm guessing its not politik to call a mod Cheesedik either...
  21. I'm a Cheesedik apparently  And he's a complete "gangsta" tw@t by the look of it. No wonder he was banned from this forum with a gob like that on him. what a twonk. cos not everyone is after that - look at me, look at what i've done, aren't i great! scenesters prepare to lick @ss...
  22. With a little help from the fia no doubt.....i can't beleive how many decisions have benefitted them this season. it makes me mad that its not an even contest.
  23. Not quite a chuftie but...I drove to work today as I overslept and parked in the NCP. Came back to find a note on the car: "Your RS4 reps looked better Suited the car better Nice wheels though N6 ***" Er...thanks I think?!?
  24. Ok, bump ;x Good motivation, testing times for me with the C - Think someone has jumped on my bonnet, it's suddenly all bobbly :( Guess i'll just have to soldier on :salute: Bummer dude. :( Next! 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdfmotivator4652731.jpg[/attachment:3hupv3lx] Thank god he doesn't like VWs. edit - i know its pretty harsh but its still my favourite motivator pic ever. failure.jpg[/attachment:3hupv3lx]
  25. Yep, seems to be ok at the mo. Got a few things lined up in the pipeline to change the interior quite a bit, if they ever get round to arriving! Now I've been paid too so I can get round to fitting the 288s and water/meth kit.
