You can't install it from inside the car, like the instructions suggest (generic Golf based), you have to drop the exhaust and a panel above it to get access to the gear change mechanism. Trust me, I tried! B&M used to imported to the UK by Eibach UK but Eibach has now transfered this product to Graham Goode in Leicester. Give them a shout, it looked like excellent kit but I couldn't be bothered to drop the exhaust etc..

VR6 Corrados use a different part number Powerflex bush for the rear beam to all other variants. VR6 uses PFR85-206 and all other variants use PFR85-207. I know because I just bought the whole car kit for my VR from EuroCarParts new performance department, PitLane. The guys seemed really knowledgable and the whole kit of parts was in stock! just need to find the time to fit them all now!

BMC-CDA sold and posted to Jon_VR6. Cheers.

Billcor I've started to talk about P&P with Jon_VR6 but rest assured, if it falls through, you're next in line! Cheers.

Jon_vr6 I have just removed my BMC CDA off my Storm, as I have had the VF supercharger fitted and therefore don't need it any more. It was only on the car for a few months, was a bit short sighted of me to buy it when I was considering going for the VF kit! Any way, as a consequence it is for sale, £80 + P&P (very light, so shouldn't be much!) It comes with the necessary extra bit of silicon hose and clips. The bracket was bent to shape by Vince's fair hands, so should bolt straight on to your car! I have included a photograph. The guys are right, it makes quite a growl under load with one of these fitted - only thing I miss with the supercharger! I have pm'd you my mobile number, please call me if you are interested.

These dampers should fit your car. They are the twin tube version of the front strut and although not as high performance as Bilstein's inverted monotube front strut technology (also yellow, looks like it's got a massive piston rod but it's actually the body of the damper upside down!). The chap above mentioned that Bilstein use Ventura springs, this is completely incorrect. Euro Car Parts make their own 'kits' up using Bilstein dampers and Ventura springs but if you bought a 'proper' Bilstein B12 Tuning Kit (matched springs and dampers), the springs used would be badged up as 'Bilstein' but would in fact only be from either Eibach or H&R. Bilstein 'official' springs are Blue. By the way, I agree with the 'pants' comment! Hope this helps!

Just had similar symptoms on my Storm. Water leak was a crack in the plastic moulding that houses the thermostat (I have also heard that it can be just the O ring seal between this housing and the engine block - but naturally I wasn't so lucky!) Might as well put a new thermostat in once the housings off. Would give a leak that seems to be coming from the middle front of the engine bay. I also had a strange, variable whirring noise from my aux water pump, just change it, the electric motor is on it's way out. The joys of high mileage VR6 ownership.

coolent temp reaching 100-110!! in short distances
Greg Kirby replied to Kempy's topic in Engine Bay
Only an idea but have you checked that your fan is actually coming on? I say this as I had a similar problem with my VR engine (coolant quickly getting to 110degs), only to discover that the (inexpensive) thermoswitch (two stage bi-metallic thing) half way down the radiator was knackered. You can test whether the fans are functioning by bridging the connections on the back of the thermo switch (I used a pair of needle nosed pliers, nice pointy bits on one end and comfy insulated handles!). If the fan comes on when the thermoswitch is bridged, then it probably the switch. My engine was being saved by the second, higher temperature switch, located elsewhere, that was kicking stageIII of the fan in at 115degs! ECP or GSF sell these parts, have a good look at the shape of the connector on the back, as I believe there have been several versions over the years. You can change it quite easily without loosing much coolant. Just have the new one ready and swap with a slight of hand
