  1. I took these like 20 minutes ago. First time trying it like this. I am very pleased. I just took these about 20 minutes ago and they turned out pretty nice, except that p-bucket takes away 90% of the quality so they look kind of poopy.
  2. I started off in an old Bug. It was my second car actually. I've owned 2 MK1 GTI's, a MK3 8v-T Jetta, A built Corrado, and now this Corrado which I am working on. I got rid of my last Corrado to get into an e36 M3.....which I might add was a wonderful car and handled exceptionally well, but a month later I started to miss the old C, I tried to ignore it, 6 months went by and I went crazy, I sold it and bought another Rrado and have been happy ever since, even with all the stupid repairs the money pit has brought me. I don't know how you guys would classify me. Doesn't really matter though, I know that I have a passion towards my car and all other VW's. I try to soak up every bit of info I read about any and all VW's resulting in tons of useless knowledge. -Keith
  3. wow, that just plain sucks, I thought we had it bad with our emissions that limit what kind of power our cars can have.....that's why we always get the short end of the stick when it comes to cool cars, i.e. 2.9vr6 vrs our standard 2.8 rrado's :( I would vote no if I could.....
  4. I thought they sent all the criminal Brits to Australia RAFLWAFL glad to hear they caught the guy.
  5. I found my self leaning with every turn the car made and tensing up every time a pass was made whether in favor or not. I can't wait until I can finally get back out to the track.....
  6. deceptivly classy, My buddy is parting out a G60 in blue and has doors if you want them. We are located near Chicago in Indiana. Hit me up with an IM if you are interested. He'll let it go for pretty cheap I am sure. -Keith
  7. Haha, yeah hahaha, oh shit....I forgot about that picture. I always laugh at it. My buddy Ryan was wearing some Speedo's as underwear one day and somehow we found out so we tackled him and stripped him and made him pose in front of our other buddies Jetta. Then we sent it via myspace to his girlfriend and then dropped a copy in his parents mail box(who thought it was funny too and framed it)....man those were the good old days hehe, hope this all seems funny to you all cause I find it hilarious.
  8. Well in the defense of us Yanks, here is a thread on Vortex of everybody ragging on whomever it is. This isn't a mainstream thing. Just like all you brits don't have bad teeth, or do you ;) http://forums.vwvortex.com/zerothread?id=3060102
  9. Do you have a better link? It keeps prompting me with PayPal :(
  10. I've had a chance to drive one over here in the states which I think has a considerably less amount of HP. My opinions of it verse the Corrado are simple. The Corrado is nice, well rounded in every category, including comfort and ride quality for daily use. The E30 M3 however was very rigid, a drivers car if you will. I found that it wasn't as comfortable to me as the Corrado but the overall drive and thrill was sooo much more that if I came across one to buy or trade that I would do it in a heartbeat. I love the feeling you get when you can feel everything that is going on, I wish I would have had more time to drive it before my buddy got rid of it.
  11. I read somewhere that it was partially due to the SSR line takeover. They'll be back, it might be a different name but they'll be back, they play a big role in the racing world. I have 3 sets off BBS's so I really hope they come back. Can anybody post a link to the article???? Please
  12. Thanks, I can't even think about all the money that went into it. The Corrado is next though Here are a few details about the Jetta. -Built bottom end- this car gets driven everyday -Euro recaros, might not be rare to you guys but mine is the only set I have ever seen on the states -stubby mirrors, real ones again very rare over here -molded front and rear lips on the bumpers -full GLI brush trim -HGP/HPA 440 turbo kit -BBS LM 18x8.5 -variant1 coilovers -nuespeed adjusable sways -you cant see it, but the hood has a custom reverse vent to pull heat off the engine, I'll post a pic below of it. -ecode headlamps and tail lamps -E46 ///M3 rear trunk spoiler cut and shaped to fit Seiously the list keeps going, it got a cover shot soon in DM magazine over here in the states....not sure what issue it is yet. intrior shot before the trim was replaced with the real GLI stuff The new custom built SMIC's to keep that sleeperish look You can see the underside of the hood vent or bonnet...whatever the hell you guys call it lol a shot before the SMIC's went on the car
  13. Wow, that thing is beautiful. Nice Corrado indeed!
  14. I don't know how your guys MK4's work, I think you guys call them Bora's. Ours came with 12v up until 2001, then the GLI and GLX got the 24v from 2002 on up. Our 12v's are also drive-by-wire atleast they are for the MK4's. Our MK3's got cable throttle of course. It's got an HGP turbo kit. It is the only one in the U.S. on a 12v MK4.
  15. http://video.tinypic.com/player.php?v=2unzrwh 339whp-396tq It has a very conservative tune for daily use
  16. Stan 24v, I can do that. I might try it in my next HDR picture...Although the snow is long gone already. I may try it anyway as I haven't really tried to do any since fall....here is an example of my HDR work, it's my Jetta.
  17. Thanks. Here is a better shot of the street in B&W same spot, just no traffic. There's a little bit of clipping going on, but eh, it's good enough I suppose. -Keith
  18. Canon Rebel DSLR, I didn't even break out the XTi for those lol. I was messing around with the WB and I kind of messed the shots up, but they aren't to horrible. They were taken in RAW format, so I suppose I could go adjust everything to make it look right.
  19. Thanks for the compliments. Here is a short list of what in in store. 1. different wheels 2. Molding 7" touchscreen into lower portion of center dash 3. Two tone headliner-black top, everything else grey 4. Either boost this engine (12v 2.8 ), or if I can get it to work a 2.0 FSI with DSG swap, or trade this for a 24v swap then boost that(it depend how much down time it's going to have and if I think I can make the DSG work so far Yes, I think I can lol) 5. Smooth the extra front bumper I have 6. Take off door rubs 7. Tail light work 8. Headlight work(HID???? Not 100% on it yet. I already have a complete HID setup, I just need to decided how I want to go about it) Well that about covers the big plans, things change though like the wind, so nothing is final until it is completed. Most everything I will fabricate my self, including any turbo kit related items, all the way down to the Intake and exhaust manifold. We'll see how things work out. -Keith
  20. I figure I might as well join in on the gallery since changes are coming so that I can track the progres as well as others. So far it's a mild H&R drop, Borbet BS 15's, 90mm lip, CAI, Carputer. I have tons of extra parts sitting and waiting for my custom touches, but I am waiting for the weather to break. i.e. spring before I start doing alot of the plans....I hate winter so enjoy these few shots plus one of my street :) -Keith
  21. I think that's the one. Is it running digi or the actual FSI wiring??? I need more info, I can't read half of that stuff, and might be doing the full FSI swap soon as I have already got an engine, and DSG Tranny..... -Keith
  22. What's the deal with the swapped car? Are they a member on here? I would like to read up on it a bit. -Keith
  23. I did an article on that car for DM magazine..... :) Below is a link to the mag, as well as a picture I took LInky: http://www.dmsportmag.com/
  24. In the states it isn't uncommon for our vr's with just a bolt on kit to be in the 300+whp range. I can get 110 octane all day, but usually run 93 which can be had at any pump. What are the average octanes over there? Do they measure it differently??
