VR6 | Pearl White | Camberley, Surrey Price: £2600 Description: So, i'm enjoying corrado ownership, but would like to move on to something a bit newer in my eyes, it's an incredible car and i've spent a lot of money on it getting it running right and alot of niggly interior bits, it was a tad ropey when i got it, but it's nearly sorted now, just needs a little more TLC. It's originally a 16v, that was converted by someone that worked at PSI tuning a few years ago. ITS STILL A 2.0 16v ON THE LOGBOOK, i just declared the engine conversion as a modification 1993 White 16v shell - no idea on mileage of shell, the body is incredibly straight, with the ONLY spot of rust being on the bootlid between the spoiler and the window, roughly a 10p size (have photo), all the panels are straight, and the sills are straight too, the underneath is really tidy too. Blown over in pearl white, with a satin black roof. Ideally, the bodywork could do with a machine polish, the guy that had it before me flatted it, but didn't get the chance to finish the polish, it'll really set the pearl off when done ALL of the electrics work, the spoiler, sunroof (mk3 glass with slider, so you can appreciate the sun without opening it if need be ) all windows all work perfectly/ Mileage is around 107k, chains were done at time of conversion apparently, but no paperwork to back this up, they're silent though and no tensioner rattles etc. I've changed the clocks in the car as the original ones (from the VR6 donor car) didn't have any lights or wiring for it, so these now illuminate properly, but in terms of MOT etc, the original clocks are still available (i was going to DDI them) List of some important bits ABV Corrado VR6 2.9 engine full conversion, apart from still running 4x100 running gear (better wheel choice! ) Stainless Scorpion Exhaust (Decat available), makes a lovely noise and isn't too loud. 5 spoke compomotive wheels, 16 x 7 with 205/45/16 tyres on them, other wheels available 90mm splitter in my ownership it's had: Pioneer headunit with USB and front auxillary input Stealth Shelf with Vibe Slick 6x9s New rear doorcards (originals have speaker holes in them, can supply these though) Decat, bought but not fitted (yet) BIG service: New Coilpack New Leads New NGK plugs Oil change + filter AIr Filter i replaced the ignition system as it was misfiring and running like poo, now it sounds, and more importantly, GOES, like a VR6 should, on full chat this thing sounds nuts, especially with the drilled airbox (better than any induction kit in my opinion). work was done at VRT in Slough, and they're spot on. There isn't much more service history, but with this service and some bits lined up at the weekend (wheel bearings), this car is running very nicely indeed now and won't give anyone hassle in terms of a price, with the work that's been done and some lined up, and that it's a straight, fully functioning corrado VR6 i'd be happy with offers around £2600, you'll also get: decat pipe 17" Wolfrace Asia Tec wheels original doorcards matching front doorcards CV joint spare spare MAF Ideally though i'm after a swap, im literally open to anything, but needs to be newer than this, no more mk2s etc, would be happy with any VAG car, or try me with non-vag all i can do is say no can drive to meet halfway for swaps etc I work some wierd and wonderful evening / nightshifts, so best bet is to contact me on 07825 909681 and text me first, i'll get back ASAP Car is located in Camberley, Surrey, GU15 1AS Cheers for reading Chris more photos upon request :)

so i've been reading this: https://sites.google.com/site/stoyneff/miscellaneous/the-vr6-cooling-system and it says that if sitting in traffic or giving it a "spirited drive" then the temp could creep up around to 104degrees mine is doing this, and the fans don't sound like they're at stage 2, and the engine smells hot. should i start by replacing the blue temp sender? or buy a lower temp fan switch? any other suggestions? Cheers Chris

you have a text :) -
so i have NO ilumination on my clocks, so i took them apart and found this: no light bulbs in them what so ever, so i investigated further and found that when i seperated the clocks there wasn't any of that blue electrical loom that the lights connect to, so there is no possible way of the bulbs (if i was to buy some) getting power, so i have a couple of questions: Are VR6 dials backlit? or the standard frontlit with green lights? should i just buy another VR6 instrument cluster? and how exactly do DDI dials work? id love a set as they look awesome Cheers Chris

i'm after: front splitter - any condition really apart from completely Shagged front and rear matching doorcards, preferably grey, but would take black / charcoal colour, no holes cut in them please :) VR6 clocks, mine look like this: I'm camberley, surrey (gu15 1as), but work in bracknell so dont mind a little drive to collect bits text me on 07825909681 and i'll respond quickest, or PM me on here Cheers Chis

So before I came to worthesee I had a fully functioning sunroof and spoiler and then both of them stopped at once. Spoiler is stuck in the up position and sunroof wont work at all :( spoiler doesnt work manually at all with the switch either What could it be

Ash tray and retaining bit for the dashboard please :) and as many screws from the dash as possible. Got a few loose parts
-
i'm after a 4-pin VR6 MAF for my corrado, got all excited and bought one, but it turned out to be a 6-pin one, which is a right pain needed asap, but i'm in worthesee from tomorrow until the 3rd, but can still pay and have it delivered etc. mine looks like this: 20130422_114715 by Chris Roots Photo, on Flickr 20130422_114727 by Chris Roots Photo, on Flickr Cheers Chris
-
I bought this as i though it would fit my corrado, but this is a 6 pin type, and mine's a 4 pin, so it's up for sale would like what i paid for it - £40 been VAGCOM tested and is fully and correctly operational 20130422_115614 by Chris Roots Photo, on Flickr 20130422_115601 by Chris Roots Photo, on Flickr 20130422_115622 by Chris Roots Photo, on Flickr already boxed and ready to go :) Cheers Chris

i just took it out for a drive with no MAF and it's exactly the same, lumpy, still goes, but really rough, so i'll be replacing that first, then see if that's cured it
-
i love it, the spoiler and noise make it all worth while, although 18mpg average doesn't, thats why im led to believe the MAF is shagged, its misfiring a little bit, nowhere near as smooth as it should be
-
i went out just now, started the car up and revved it, still the misfire, unplugged the MAF, and no difference at all so i'm 90% its the MAF, videos to follow though wierdly though, the spoiler and sunroof, which were 100% ok this morning, have stopped working ---------- Post added at 7:56 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:47 PM ---------- so it's not got a diagnostics port which is a right pain in the derrier, but here are some vids of it running: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H3OJDvNLFpl think it needs an oil change too, as the chains sound a bit noisy aswell
-
I just went out to look qland its got obd1 throttle body and is coilpack. Its a corrado engine from a broken raddo. Has original clocks to go with the engine. So am I able to scan it if its obd1? Providing theres a port for it. I have an obd scanner :)
