Checking of tyre pressure, oil and coolant.
Sonicriot13 replied to Bojmobile's topic in General Car Chat
Yeah, I do about 30 miles a day to work and back and I just about never have to top the tyres up. Oil and water is a slightly different story though.... Anyhow, I check all of the above every weekend. It doesn't use too much oil but I've got water leaking from several places at the moment. Needs topping up every two weeks or so just to keep on top of it. I do however need to get my finger out. With winter coming I don't really want anything freezing or something catastrophic like a small leak turning into a big one at a bad time.... -
They sound awesome and they look awesome. One day.... I'll still have to have a rado as well though. That would be mine and my girlfriend's perfect two car garage within the realms of affordability. Not like that guy on fifth gear with an Enzo and an F1. That's just greedy!

I want one of these!!!!! :D  :D  http://www.roushperformance.com/roushtv.shtml

Insurance not paying as written off B4...Advice?
Sonicriot13 replied to drunkenmunkey's topic in Insurance
I find it odd your insurance company is saying that. What category write off was it before? If it was a D no inspection would have been required before going back on the road. If a C it would have required a VIC but that doesn't check for roadworthiness anyway. If the test centre spot that it's still a wreck they'll not allow it to go back on the road but as yours has a valid MOT and everything I can't see how your insurer can argue with that. And if it was A or B it shouldn't have gone back on the road at all. It's a little while since I worked in Motor but I can speak to some people at work on Monday if you want. Insurance companies are just t*ssers. I know. I work for one. -
No worries mate. I thought of you as soon as I saw it! :D If you haven't seen one before I warn you now... it's probably bigger than you think it is. I guess I was thinking it would be as small as the original, which was never gonna happen really. I wish I had a decent picture of the black SLR that was there. That's another car I've only fully learned to appreciate after seeing it in real life. All I have is a vid on my mobile and few pics of the engine because by the time we got round to it the digi camera had died, and we didn't have spare batteries. The cars there were absolutely out of this world. I could hardly take it all in.

Yeah, my Girlfriend is crazy about them. She likes them as much as I like Corrados. Which is a lot! We will have one one day. The Roush ones are a bit special. Defo want the suspension pack if you go for one of them....
-
Well spotted mate! :D And it's an F430.
-
Oh, well I'm sure I'll see you around. Stoomarget isn't the biggest place in the world! Preferring it to Ipsswidge so far though. I never planned to get a white one but I'm glad I did now. :D

This was a nice Aston (spot the poser)... This was a nice Porsche... And this was a nice Ferrari... I think there were more Lambos than anything else though. I was pleasantly surprised by the friendly atmosphere there. I wasn't expecting it to be like that. Those explosions had my Girlfriend jumping out of her seat. Well funny! The stunt drivers were pretty cool. Shame there was no Veyron. I just wanted to hear it.

Went to MPH last weekend. Yes, I watched a Top Gear stage show... and I loved it! Anyway, saw a Zonda (well three of them) in the metal for the first time and I have to say I am now converted. They were among the most beautiful cars there. Anyway, here's some pics of two of them and some other stuff. :D The blonde mop in the VXR8 is my girlfriend. That car had the most comfortable seats ever! I wanted a go in this one! If only I had the money for these... And some porno for Jim....

Haven't got many. Other than the ones in my members gallery got these: No really interesting ones unfortunately. It needs paint... big time. And I'm getting nowhere fast with all the other stuff that needs doing. With Christmas coming I have no money.

It wasn't. And I never did get any thanks for it. Not that I'm bitter....

That is quite... sh*t. Mustangs don't look like that anyway.

No way!!! i live in stow!! Did i c ya on 14 not so long ago i was in blue G60! :D Sweet! :D Most likely was me! I've met quite a few other Rados on the A14. I'm sure I must have seen yours. Is yours pre facelift like mine? From what I can tell there are some nice Cs in Stow. Seen a nice Storm parked up not so long ago. And a real nice black VR6. I'm sure I'll see you around buddy! :D It's always useful to know other Corrado people near by. If you ever need a hand with any work I have a large tool kit! :D
-
Lived in Ipswich until about two weeks ago. Now live in Stowmarket. Still work in Ipswich so if you see a shonky old white G60, that's me! :D

Best place is main stealer but I've always been really happy with the quality of stuff from here: http://www.vwspares.co.uk

Yeah, better just to buy new ones with the bushes already in. That sounds like quite a nice little project actually. Will be good to undo the neglect of somebody else. Leaving cars to rot is criminal. Especially when it's a rado. :(

Yeah I was surprised you could kind of ascertain what order they role out of Karmann in. Although it may not be that reliable reading some of the above posts. Cheers for the replies! I thought I was just gonna get loads of abuse for posting this topic. Nice to know I'm not the only bored person!

It's the way the people in this country are. There should be selective culling imo. Those that annoy everybody else, serve no useful purpose on this planet, use up all the resources and don't return anything should all be surgically removed from the globe and shot out into space. I'm struggling to think of another forum I go on where a mod would write that. I love this place.

Yeah you wouldn't want your sig to come true   Yeah exactly, I'd never forgive myself if I killed myself.... :? On old people I used to love getting the complaints into our underwriting department from old people wanting to know why their premiums had gone up. I used to just say it's because they're over 65. And then I'd get back "well, surley the older you get the lower your premium is". That would of course be true, except we get as many if not more claims from the over 65s as we do for the under 25s.
-
Yep! You try working in underwriting! It's got to be bad for your mental health to be this bored on a regular basis.

I know that feeling well! Fortunately nothing major but a list as long as your arm of niggling little things. I love chucking it into corners though. There's a big roundabout near the Tescos in Stow and if it's clear I go into well quick. The other day I over did a little and the tyres were squeeling like anything. I didn't lose it (it held the line beautifully) but I've never had that much tyre noise before! It was fun but I think I need to curb it a little before I go overboard....

I'm bored at work. Mine's 9532 if memory serves. Higher than I thought as it's a 91. For all those that don't know you can find what number yours was by looking at the last digits of the vin number. Who's got the lowest?
