I read the performance car mag article aswell and was a bit baffled by some of the statements.....it was the first time I have bought it and the last, the whole mag loved every car it reviewed practically.....me thinks certain journo's get certain amounts of cash from certain manufactuers !!! :?

Just been behind a new Passat CC.....the pictures dont do this car justice its sooooo nice in real life, never thought I would say that about a Passat. Its a bit of a Merc CLS rip off, but for a whole lot less. Its one cool looking car. Anyone agree ?? I'm really hoping now the Scirocco looks much better in real life to - as many have said on here already. Danny

They're all hatchbacks but I agree with you there. Not really scrutinized the proportions of modern coupes in general, but it could be a sign of the times that all cars are becoming higher in roofline/cabin height, to accommodate a wider market as possible. For certain the hatchback profile seems to rule the looks of this new VW. :| P.S. that exhaust should be rectangular or hidden. I suppose what I meant was the older cars look like coupes with lower roof lines and 2 seater feel.....i.e. more sporty, but the scirocco now just looks like a sleek hatchback which I think is a shame. VW is always going to struggle positioning the exhaust in my view as the back end just looks so round, the exhaust on these pics look like after thoughts, which is another disappointment.....maybe a twin rounded centre would look better like a clio 192 or golf R32...not sure about that even though. :(

the red one looks much better, wheels are cool but dont like the exhaust......the only thing I keep thinking is that the oringinal scirocco and corrado where proper coupes and this just doesnt seem like one. For me it resembles a hatch too much.

The Iroc would have been a welcome change.....although maybe it could be made to look like one with a little effort, and squinting of the eyes !!

thats what it looks like, i couldnt place it but your right, the back looks like the proton lotus thingy....I was mixing it up with a mazda !!

you can see where VW was going with the wheels but for some reason they havent quite pulled it off in my eyes. they almost look like halfords special go faster hub caps !!!

i'm still so undecided.....the wheels are gash though. It looks like a Mazda from some angles...... :pukeright:

the rocco rims in the pic are terrible.....anything would be better !!! its true the rado does look dated, even sitting on its own, but its so much better proprotioned and doesnt look awkward from any angle, unlike the scirocco which looks like its trying to make a nose dive from the front.

I love white cars these days......I even found myself gawping at a white BMW 130 the other day...... :brickwall: .

when you look at it like that the scirocco makes even less sense. I havent seen one yet but I really hope they look better in real life.

I agree I reakon it will take time but soon I will like it once I've seen a few in the flesh.....but from the pics as with all VW's of recent years it looks dull.....VW's should have been more bold like Volvo with the C30....theres one of these down my road in white with purple/brown trim which sounds horrible but is actually really smart.

I've got full standard black leather at the moment, and was thinking of changing for full leather electric recaro's. Question is would I need to change rear bench, in other words did the original cars which came with the leather electric recaro's have different rear seats to the standard leather cars ??? I'm not usually a big fan of blackberrys but that looks very nice now lowered with 17's......good job fella. :D always amazes me how a wheel change can completely change my view on a car sometimes.
