Quentin.......another unloved child.......I think the only presenter who seems half ok is the fat one who was originally on top gear and now does second hand car show on Dave......he seems normal, or am I mistaking that as boring, maybe thats why he isnt on top gear anymore !!

WRONG! Tiff thinks he's a good driver, he's a dick! and before you all go off I've met him in real life! top wrist excerciser! Refused to sign autographs for kids at the only British GT event he did, just sat on his throne (yes throne, a seat 3 ft higher than the rest of the team) looking smug. Then binned the car in the race, came in and screamed that the mechanics were all To$$ers despite his team-mate keeping it on the island for the First half! Surprisingly the team owner never invited him back! Reason for 5th Gear? Tiff got bunted off TG after Clarkson walked and the ratings dropped... Good driver? NO! Jason Potato can drive rings round him but isn't allowed to! One of the main reasons I won't watch 5th gear, problem is I like "Potato" as a person (again met him on a professional level) and VBH as a "co*k in a frock" as some-one described her... wouldnt have a clue what either is like in person, never meet them. I just think tiff looks impressive when driving, but if you've had first hand experience........ :shrug:

Right on. She has a head like Terrance and Phillip out of South Park. :lol: Im not in to 5th gear, its good for properly reviewing the cars but i also find their voices annoying and it just doesnt keep me wanting to watch it, i could happily flick over even if they are driving a massively powerful supercar. agreed the presenters are naff........tiff is a quality driver though........his parents didnt like him much with a name like that though :lol: !!!

agreed.....even my girlfriend started to watch top gear......but thats kinda my point, it doesnt really interest people like me anymore who are true car nuts, and those are the core audience.......I reakon soon enough most people will get bored of it, even my girlfriend who now sky plus's it :brickwall: doh !!!

My old mans A4 TDI would have my VR for dinner in most circumstances, but as nice as it is I still wouldnt swap it. Pace and speed is not everything...... :scratch: I think !!!

phewww thought I was the only one........agree with star in the car having run its course, and the banter between clarkson and co is so fake and put on its cringe worthy......although to be fair 5th gear is following in its path......plato and needell chat is also sooo scripted.......at least they talk about cars in a semi normal way thats not trying just be clever dicks !!! just got sky plus to, its ammmmmaaaazing..... :clap:

Now I know I'm gonna get crucified, and I hate to say it, but I do get more enjoyment out of 5th gear these days........all the farting about lads stuff is cool and everything, but they are getting so far away from car reviews I'm failing to see the point anymore, theres only so much car jumping and false explosions I can take before it gets dull :sleeping: !!!!! 5th gear tonight, although a rip off of top gear studio, was how top gear use to be 3-4 years ago, and I reakon its better for it......what does everyone else think ??

I'm into the standard look but I've always liked those wheels.....saw a rado on porsche rims like those years ago and never forgot it, love them. Rear lights on the blue looks cool aswell.

wish my'n was silver.......soooo cool !! Orange tail lights stick with me a little though seem to stick out more on silver, suppose they do on all cars though.

this was kinda my understanding on it, but not being an expert I didnt want to say. not really an issue ....to a point you can pour neat fuel on an exhaust manifold and it just evaporates as there is no spark to ignite the fuel , brake fluid on the other hand will go up this is why newer cars tend to have there brake fluid reservoirs behind the bulkhead or away from the engine so in the event of an accident the brake fluid wont hit the manifold , the back end of the exhaust is relatively cold compared to the front so it was not an issue really .

I think that is a bit of a harsh comment, neither the less I wont go into details as to why I did it, just surfice to say it was neccessary.

thanks for the reply thom, I had it checked out last week and turned out that the fuel pipe connected to the fuel tank had come loose due to a perished old original connector. changed the connector for a jubilee clip and job done, didnt have to remove tank or anything as just had to remove round plate in the boot that allows access to tank. fingers crossed job done......£1.50 for new clip :clap: . Hi everyone strange thing happened to me the other day............driving quite quickly on A3 when started to smell petrol - tank was well low already almost in red - stoppped took a look and petrol was pissing out of right hand side of fuel tank (filler cap side). Drove to nearest Station and filled up. Carried on going with strong smell of petrol still, and by the time I got home and took another look the leak is no longer, but smell is still very strong. Anyone experienced this sort of thing before, strange that the leaking went away after filling up ? danny b

Was thinking of getting a complete respray.......how much should it cost ? and what should it involve ? not really intersted in having a cheap alternative, want it done properly. Any info/suggestions would be great. Thanks Danny b

I reakon I could get 172mph out of my VR.......on a long road........with a tail wind........maybe :scratch: !!! who needs speed anyway when you got the coolest active rear spolier on the road.

that sparked an interesting conversation.......I dont think i really have an issue, it seems after another couple of drives and prolonged water gauge stairing - which I wouldnt recommend for two long, almost mowed down a cyclist at one point :shock: - the max water temp it gets to is 108 before the fans kick in while in traffic, and when on the move 90 odd. After the responses that seems relatively normal. think I may have been worrying about nothing, although I will be mentioning it to the Phirm next time I'm down there. thanks for the responses anyway lads. .....and please less of the VR6 slow talk its ruining my local rep !!!

Alrite guys, not sure if I'm worrying about nothing but when sitting in traffic my water temp regularly reads just under 110, when driving though it stays steady at around 90.......After just reading a thread where someone said theirs stayed at a steady 70 I got the jitters.......to worry or not to worry :shrug: ???? its a m-reg VR6 Danny b p.s. if there are loads of threads on this please say so, sorry I'm writting this late at night :sleeping:

bit off topic but how come I dont see you two about, I live in forest hill and work in Brixton....!!! flashed only one corrado round here which actually was on brixton hill around a month ago, rainy afternoon from what I remember....was that you corradude ?? Danny
