hi ya my freind has just put his recently rebuilt 1600 gti engine back in his car, starts and ticks over fine but has hardly any power at all, im thinking the cam and/or ignition timing are out,all marks seem to be lining up though, its got a vernier on it so 0 degrees on the vernier was taken as the tdc timing mark for the cam,,, , ideas folks!??!

as long as you make a good job of it and ensure the glass is totally dry before you run the car trhen i see no problems,, hey maybe this is the answerto your g60 going slow questiuon the other day!! changed the intercooler in mine last night as it had a dirty great hjole in it the differeince is huge,, pulls from allot lower down!! ,, :roll:

good idea, take some cash to inters and hopefully grab a bargain, hmmmmm, shame there are no events in the winter, need to tie ourselves over with some rr days or something, -
seems good value for money, trying to decide over APEX, WEITEC, BOGE kits? or just wait six months and go the whole hog with coilovers?!?!? :roll: :?: :?

IS THIS SAFE THOUGH AS I THOUGHT THE ISV WAS SUPPOSED TO DUMP BOOST IF IT REACHES TO HIGHER LEVEL, IS IT BEST TO INSTALL A CHECK VALVE OR RE ROUTE THE ISV?

hi ya ive seen on a few sites that its worthwhile fitting a check valve,/ non return valve before the idle stabiliser on a g 60, i was wondering,, cant you just use a non return valve like what goes onto the brake servo on the cars from the inlet mainifold for the idle stabiliser rather than spend £50 on a speacialist check valve for this application?!?! ideas folks? :?: :?: :?:
