  1. thanks for the link, il get them in at some point lol. if you heat the hub up it in the oven it will come out with not too much effort if you still cant get it out, easy way to get it back in aswell :D
  2. i just purchased some of those top mounts the other day to go on with my coilovers, ended up useing the old ones as i wasnt sure which way to fit them  is that right?
  3. cool, thanks. yea i bought some poly top mounts but they just make it worse  so i put the old ones back on as there not too bad.
  4. thats whats happening when i jack up the car, but that was befor i let it sit for a while on the weight of the car. sorry it took so long to get some pics up. are they going to fail me for this on my mot :confused4:
  5. 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdf18042010053.jpg[/attachment:fvw54g6r]18042010052.jpg[/attachment:fvw54g6r]
  6. i took everything from the old setup and resembled it with the new coilovers, in order from top of coilover: -hat shaped spacer -rubber mount -slotted nut for bearing then i fitted them and dropped the car down and wound the slotted nut that sits in the bearing in till it was tight with long nose pliers, then put the cap and nut on over the top. so do the mounts just get wedged up in the sleeve mounts?
  7. the rears where a peice of pie but the mounts in the fronts just fall away when the car is jacked up, will get some pics up when i can but if anyone knows what i mean and how to help it would be greatly appreciated. the stabdard suspention was longer and kept pressure on the top mounts it seemed.....
  8. i could do with one of those, my intake pipe is colapsing :( thats a great buy for a fiver! nice one! :D
  9. not sure if the green bulbs actually work all tho the theory is sound. this is what i did viewtopic.php?f=3&t=85275&p=988270&hilit=green+bulbs#p988270
  10. if you dont want the orange to show you have to give it quite a heavy coat, after that the turn signals flash red so i got some orange led bulbs with variable resistors off ebay. you can get the bulbs from halfords that are just orange but im not sure if there any good.
  11. just found your page mate, looking very nice! i went hammerite red with my calipers, gives the c a sporty look 8) they get awfully dirty tho!
  12. small update getting the corrado back on the road if i can get it through the mot this week! :D second time lucky! iv removed the inlet manifold, rocker cover and altinator to clean up but iv just decided to try and leave them to soak in a bucket with some kitchen cleaner to try and get rid of the oil stains in the aluminum, not sure if this will work but i thought its worth a try. having some trouble with an oil getting through the rocker cover gasket even after i replaced it with a new one :? , im hoping that the gasket sealant will help. i decided to space the rear wheels out buy 10mm with the new coilovers and i saw that kipVR had done this with hisbut he hadnt kept a patern for them so i couldnt get any made up in advance. so heres what i did.... 6082T6 aluminum plate passat climatronic wiring diags.pdf08042010035.jpg[/attachment:ctwzlb4a] cut and file to 85 x 80 climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdf08042010036.jpg[/attachment:ctwzlb4a] clamp to stub axle and spot through (there should be a rough outline where its been bolted to the axle that you can line the plate up with on the stub axle) 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdf10042010042.jpg[/attachment:ctwzlb4a]10042010043.jpg[/attachment:ctwzlb4a] then all you have to do is file a little bit out for the abs sensor, i bought some new m10 x 50 long bolts aswell. i was going to clean and anodise everything but i think il try and clean everything myself and paint some underseal over the aluminum spacers to stop them from oxidizing. also fitted a new brake pressure regulator as the old one was knackered tried to fit a new fuel filter and in the process split the hose from the accumulator to the filter (almost £40 for a 30cm hose!) :epicfail: still to go is: freeing up rear brakes and fitting new pads (waiting on piston wind back tool) fitting suspension de-gunking the engine and bay clean and lacquer wheels new redge plates welds on exhaust fit new o rings on injectors and new housings
  13. Im sending a few parts out for anodizing soon, apparently the place down the road from me is one of only a few metal treatment shops in the south! they can anodize and die aluminum clear/silver, gold orange, red, violate, blue, turquoise, black and alochrom 1000/1200. they also treat mild steel with black oxidize or zinc oxidize and stainless with passivation and electro-polishing. i can see me spending a lot of money there :? lol will get some pics up soon.
  14. i found that the bottom wheels had eaten away at the cam cover and it was making some awful noises when i put them back on again, had to get a new one! i thought the noises where coming from a pulley wheel or tentioner but after greasing and fiddling i figured it had to be the chain, its hard to tell over the engine noise but it gets louder with increased rpm, kinda sounds like a super charger ( not that im proud of it 8) )
  15. i got some whining noises that i think where coming from the chain when i performed the cam change :? , any strange noises?
  16. oooh la la, very nice. always make the engine bay look a lot tidier.
  17. the cv boots often go which is just a cover round the joint filled with grease if that's what they meant. if the shocks are gone there's no reason why you shouldn't be entitled to a new set on the warranty. hope you get it sorted ok.
