  1. Really, that much? It can't be road worthy can it? You can buy a good usable VR6 for £2k, who would pay £4.5k for one you can't use?
  2. Because they are stupid, or they misjudged a small gap on the way. :cuckoo: I have to say, that looks bloody awful.
  3. That one is just a weedy little 2.6 :( Very clean, just a shame the side is missing! I don't know if it's possible to stick one back in?
  4. :gag: :pukeright: I hate 3 spokes, and I've yet to see a car that they even nearly suit! Lose them ASAP! IMO of course.
  5. I would guess the balljoints will be a good place to start.
  6. When you say 'all new suspension' does that mean you've had new wishbones, bushes, balljoints, track rod ends and anything else that moves under the front of the car, or do you mean you had new dampers and top mounts?

    VR6 power

Probably cos as he says he thought it would be faster than it was. Really isnt a quick car the VR6 considering its capacity. I know what he is saying. Don't people test drive cars any more? Also what else car you get for this money thats this good? Buy a RS4 and bigger turbo.

If your corrado upsets you why did you buy it?
  9. Did you reset the codes, the car will store the codes even if it's been fixed.
  10. It all depends how the car has been looked after. My Corrado has 139k, Octavia has 108k and my Fabia has 157k on the clock. They have all had new bushes bearings and ball joints but they all start on the button and drive well.
  11. What is it doing when it doesn't start? Is it dead? Spinning but not firing? etc etc..
  12. Try this. http://wiki.the-corrado.net/image_tensi ... ley13.html
  13. That interior looks awesome! Out of interest what have you done to your gear stick? I'd like mine to sit a lot higher with about 10% of the movement it's got now!
  14. Why are metal impellers not good? The 20V lumps came with plastic impellers and are known for failing, general practice is to replace with a metal impeller pump.
  15. Just make sure you keep an eye on the temp gauge and water level warning lamp, you don't want to be over heating one of these!
  16. Personally I would say don't drive it, but I know that can be easier said than done if you need to get somewhere and it's your only car. I assume you can't get a lift to work or borrow someones car for a few days?
  17. I would expect the pump to leak a lot if it had that much play in it. You sure it's not just a lose nut?
  18. Keep seeing a gray possibly VR on the road to Alton from Bordon around 7:20-30 most mornings. Also a gray possibly VR again (maybe the same one) on Budds Lane in Bordon/whitehill.
  19. Thats quite funny, some folk are just far too easy to wind up!
  20. Depends on my driving, normally around 35-37mpg with every day driving, mostly 70-80mph on fast a roads and motorways with a little bit of fun at some roundabouts. If I'm 'driving' driving around 20-22mpg! Did see as much as 42.4mpg the other week, but it had broken so I was driving very carefully and didn't do more than 45-50mph.
  21. I've posted it up before, but here it is again. Car has Miltek Exhaust and a cheapy ebay chip. 130k on the clock at the time, burns a bit of oil and eats plugs.

    Faulty MFA

When my car is cold my MFA is stuck on position 2 and I can't scroll though the different options, it's just stuck on the time. After 20-30 mins of driving it starts flicking between 1 and 2 and while it's on 1 I can scroll though all the different readouts. Anyone any ideas where I should start looking?

    VR6 Rebuild

    In case anyone is interested, I think this is right. 82.0mm = 2861cc 82.5mm = 2896cc 83.0mm = 2931cc 83.5mm = 2967cc 84.0mm = 3003cc 84.5mm = 3038cc 85.0mm = 3074cc Can anyone confirm this? Is it worth it/possible to push it out to 83.5mm ? I see Wossner make 83.5mm pistons, if I have 83.5mm pistons what size do I get the bores milled out to?

    VR6 Rebuild

All sound advice, thanks. From what I've read the stardard pistons are 82mm ? Can anyone tell me what the cc would be if I was to use 82.5, 83 and 83.5mm ?
  25. I can't see where it says 100/112. Just has 5x112 from what I can see, although I would expect the seller will be able to sell you some that are 5x100. Personally I wouldn't put cheap wheels on a car, but you pays your money and takes your choice!
