- check out the door handles on this corrado? did some european rados have diffirent handles? they look oem, and nice! im sure somebody on here will have some answers! :D

u should check your top turrets under the hood and see if your suspension isnt sticking up to far and forcing the top plate up, thats what mines doing, im beggining to think the fk supplied nuts are two thick . . .

v021 115 446 a - for the gasket, i payed £6.53 vN 100 362 03 - for the bolts, dont really need replacing though as i went to fit them i realsied it was actually one of my pressure switches jsut above that was leaking, im sure the bloke on parts at my local stealers thinks im stalking him i go down there twice a week!

its ok i had already ordered the gasket and 2 bolts needed to do it just to be on the safe side!! the gasket is about £6 and £2 each for new bolts from a vw dealership ( i dont like re using the old bolts!!) i had just recently changed the oil so im gonna try and save as much of it as i can when doing the repair!!

is it common for vr's to leak from where the filter housing meets the engine? my rado keeps leaving its mark everywhere and as far as i can tell its that gasket . .

my heater blower does not work at all on any speed, theres deffinatly power in the 5 pin connector that it attaches to, i had it apart and nothing seemed too out of the ordianary but i didnt know what i was looking for! i went down to a few local scrapyards as i remember hearing that a golf one will work, but i tried a couple of mk3's and they where too big, then i tried a couple of mk2 and thought i had cracked it but they ended up only having a 4 pin connector. so i'm back to square one now, does anybody know anything i can try to get my current broken one working? if not i think i spied one for sale on here, please help i'm freezing my jingles off on my way to work in the morning!! :sad:

i went to finland a few months ago, it takes a brave man to drive that on thoes roads! they where just like sheets of ice! all i could say was Kiitos (thankyou), they probably thought i was mad!

instaled fk highsports, put new genuine vw bushes on and took great care to put everything back as it should be, however i was doing some work under the bonnet this weekend and noticed this has happened!!! as you can see the bush is trying to force its way through the hole, how? why? help!!! yea found a star key that fitted it luckily, give it a bit of a clean earlier and took it for a drive, dosent seem to be staling or trying to stall any more, fingers crossed!!!

thanks thats a big help, i already had the carb cleaner and some clamps but i have a set of torx 'star' type sockets and they didnt fit the bolt for the plastic engine cover so i could not get it off!!

Hi, had my vr on the road for about 4 days now (iv owned it for a while), iv asked many questions and got many usefull answers which helped me get it on the road, thanks!! its a 1996 black vr with 95k on the clock and grey heated leather, its draining all my money on insurance as im only 20, but its well worth it!! i have decided to keep it relativly standard, but i have done quite a bit of work on it: fk coilovers and new bushes all round new rear beam bushes (made me very angry fitting these!!) mk.4 golf rear brakes, new disks and pads etc. . . . new propper vw exhaust 2 new abs sensors and 2 new tyres (pilots) luckily it had a new coil-pack and leads recently so didnt have to bother with them

thanks a lot, it may be a concept 500 then, the previous owner said 300 i belive, but it was on the car when he got it so he might be mistaken, it has two fobs, both the same type like you decribed, which leads me to belive they where standard with the system its got. the external proximity sensor is currently de-activated, i was wondering how to activate and de-activate this i also was wondering what the little red button i have next to the proximity sensor adjuster does, as well as a little black rocker switch also every now and again after if played about with it the system will say 'armed' 'dis-armed' instead of the bleeps, i want to know how to change between the two and finaly the bleep when i activate the alarm is quite loud, i belive you can put it onto a quieter setting? thanks for your help, il go and try the things you mentioned now! * edit- whats this cliff-net wizard i keep hearing about?

my vr came with this alarm fitted, i have downloaded the manual but i am still none the wiser!!! i have some rocker type switch next to the flashing red light, and then i also have a little red button next to a little proximity adjuster in the passenger part of the dash, i dont know what they do!! the manual keeps refering to pressing * buttons and car icons but my remotes dont have any pictures on them!! can anybody with this system tell me how to work it propperly? the remotes are the type with one big button in the middle then 3 smaller ones, also looks like a button on the side, from what i can gather the big one alarms the car, very loudly! one puts the windows up i think, and the other silently alarms the car. i really could do with knowing how to adjust the settings on the system.

i have just fitted fk highsports, using new vw bushes and the fk supplied nuts, dont seem to have had any problems. . .

unfortunatly its still doing it, i know it was fine before it went of the road as i know the guy i bought it off, so i will have to take it off and give it a bit of a clean, altough im not at all sure how to clean it, i know the little black plastic thing with the pipes going into it just behind the engine has something to do with it . . i will have a good look for it tomorrow, i have an old can of carb cleaner, that should blast any rubbish away as its obviously just got a bit gunked up or stiff being left so long. the fact that its coming up as an error on vag-com worries me tohugh as it may suggest its more an electrical issue with it . . .
