  1. No ABS to worry about thanks, it's an early :salute: I might give that a go in the morning then. Can't believe I've had the car 4 months and it hasn't even been in the air yet
  2. Am I right in thinking it's: Hub nut removed, Wheel nuts loosened, jack up car, wheel off, Caliper off / strung up to coil spring, disc off / swap to other hub, Track control arm off, 2 x suspension to hub bolts off, Driveshaft out, LBJ out, Swap hubs? This wheel bearing is getting awful now, a lot noisier at lower speeds so I'm hoping I can just sling a spare Toad hub on before I get round to swapping out all the subframe.
  3. Exactly what I just did, just the longer version
  4. I know I need a job! The whole project has ground to a halt, which is why i've been cleaning vac lines and spraying grilles! :brickwall: :brickwall: :brickwall:
  5. Doesn't seem to be looking at part numbers. Sorry.
  6. Thought i'd attack my grille today: Subsequent tattoo  End result: Glossier than I was hoping for, but it'll do for now. I think it looks Audi-esque with the super black grille and square lights. Shame the grille shows up how faded the headlight black surrounds are!
  7. Strangely enough, the Part number for a 9a (2.0 16v) Idle valve is the same as the ABV (VR6) one! 034133455B
  8. Not a fan personally, The new A series cars don't take to a softtop well in my opinion.
  9. Between £10-20 second hand on the bay or breakers as Jim said.
  10. Me too! They're just too small for the scale of the car. 14s on a Golf yes, but 15s+ on a Corrado.
  11. I meant to mention the DIY labour bit and completely forgot.
  12. If you're looking to rebuild it all beforehand like I am then you'll save in the long run but only until stuff starts wearing out again. But then that is a relatovely large initial outset, as opposed to monthly/yearly repair bills.
  13. If I didn't care, I'd just shrug. So it's a good thing I think. I do still love it really :luvlove: I think the difference between our reactions bro, is that you have cashola with which to fix things and I don't. Not really.
  14. Thanks for the help though  I have a spare sensor, I just don't know if it works or not. Can I do a boiling water trick on it or anything?
  15. Yeah coolant light flashes when ignition's on, then goes off when the engine starts. Is it worth swapping in one of my spare sensors and seeing if I get a reading off that, or is it way more likely to be wiring?
  16. So when are you putting up the polished pics? :norty: Seriously though, it looks pretty! Good work. Well done on the bay bargains too
  17. Aaaah VSAM... :confused4:
  18. so you shouldn't run a KR on 95 octane?
  19. ...maybe I linked up the vac lines to the wrong bits. Would that matter?
  20. maybe the engine is fooked, I wouldn't be susprised. Regards the MPG, I think the dials are dead. The coolant guage needle won't even move when it's earthed, so maybe I need a new cluster.
