So, my M20 die for the outer CV shaft thread came today along with my male-to-female brake hoses for the G60 calipers. Thanks go to G60ff for very good price and quick delivery. Dormer M18, M20 and M22 dies. £12 delivered online which seemed reasonable. Only problem I have now is that the M20 has a 38mm outer diameter and my sockets go up to 32! Early brake hoses with integrated male caliper end :salute:

4 equidistantly spaced holes in the rubber between the outside and inside? If so, that is correct. :dorky:

My hunt for a Corrado - the story so far!

around town I hope! I did a few long runs between 80-100mph and one tank returned 34mpg (calculated, not from MFA) so I'm sure the 16v can do better. The golf used to edge towards 40mpg when I had it, same engine. -
...or out of the closet  :cuckoo:

Paparazzi strikes again!

I was thinking that! He used to be a nice boy... I think?!

Having stripped a rack myself, I'd be highly surprised if a rack ever got bone dry  always seems to be some grease/fluid it in even if it's just an annular coating.
-
SOunds like you've been giving the clutch pedal a bit of left thigh abuse! Make sure that stop doesn't fatigue and break off else you'll have to buy my pedal cluster  :cuckoo:

Good work on the piping Slim Shady.

It won't disintegrate if that's what you mean. It's obviously not recommended, but i think it will be ok. I once refilled my PAS fluid, and the steering was perfect until the slow leak drained the little reservoir, so I'm thinking PAS pumps are pretty strong.

You know Batman?!
-
Let me put it this way, my rack has been leaking for so long that i'm 99.9% sure the pump has been pumping air for at least 8 weeks. I guess it could be dead now though

Does your hand have integrated pitot static tubes?! Fair enough buddy. Jon. p.s. mentioning pitot tubes makes me look like a massive :dorky:

VR6 mounts are apparently more heavy duty than the others, but if you buy those you will need some more parts on top as those look like just the rubber section of the mount.

Awesome work Chris! I have a whole spare rack so let me know if you want me to post you one of those main body hard banjo-bolted pas lines :salute: sometimes washers just don't cut it (PO tried that on my car, and it's never held its fluid :brickwall: ) Looking forward to seeing it sometime!

Jonathan, have you done the required experiments and grill area calculations to proclaim a 3-slat outflows a 7-slat! I love the 7-slat, 3 slat looks too pikey imo... but in the name of science, it may have to be used :salute:

A W E S O M E Riley! Gutted you're so far away, would be fun to pop up and have a nosey! Where did you get the new rad support panel / cross member?

I'm guessing he wants his car back on the road ASAP? If those items are 4-stud, I could be interested. I'm guessing they are 5 though. Sorry for the hijack.

Obvious belt slip will be a steering wheel that "twitches" when you turn it, esp on full lock. Pump tends to click when it doesn't have fluid running through it, and is linked to engine rpm for regularity of clicking. hth.

I have a spare pedal cluster so let me know if you need any little obsolete clips or whatnot :salute:
