Was going to change my sump gasket as it looks a stright forward procedure but when when looking at the all the bolts of the sump, i cant see 2 of them, which should be there, cos there are 2 holes on the gasket which are those 2 which i cant see the two bolts which i cant see are next to the gearbox on the 16v do u have to take the gearbox out? as it doesnt say so on the haynes manual for the mk2 golf 16v cheers

no aint tried it, so i might give it go as its cheaper than getting new ht leads also some people are saying it could be fuel related which might explain redex working for your corrado

i dont think that vw will be succussfull in that kinda market as most people who buy cars for that kinda market usually tend to stick with those kinda cars such as bwm, mercs, audi's

on the 1.8 16v do u change the cam belt every 40k or 60 k? cheers :wink:

my car every couple of weeks or so it takes about 5-7 secs to start, the outside temp. does not affect this problem i was thinking could it be the leads? any ideas? :roll:

why are u putting anti freeze aswell as G12 plus? G12 is an anti freeze

cant remember exactly but was no more than £20 think but i think they look very smart

i know how u feel mate! wot also pisses me off is when people park there car close to your car, so when they open the door they mostly likely damage your car, they should be careful when opening their door! :mad:

mines really low, basically theres no gap between the arch and the tyre think ive lowered it about 60mm but not sure exactly cos i ve changed the height a couple of time cos i got adjustables my c was the lowest on display on the corrado club stand at gti inter (saturday) :lol:

if u have slightly rough panels on your car the meguirs clay bar together with the spray u get with it totally gets rid of the roughness and makes the paintwork soooo smooth its costs about £14 go to speeding.co.uk for further info

theres probably not enough copper grease on the back of the brakes also sometimes u just need to refit the brakes woked for me

i put 30-32 all round on mine 205/40 17 benn putting that for nearly a year

check the rubber seal on the coolant filler cap mine was not on properly which caused it to overheat HTH :roll:

mine would have to be a 1.8 T and full respray :lol:

i use 10/40 quantum, genuine vw oil and its cheap :lol:

good thing u changed your mind about selling the corrado dazzyvr6, theres a big difference between the 2 cars like the corrado being a smart looking corrado and a golf being an average hatchback :roll: was the golf? a mk4? if so the only reason to go for a mk4 golf would be to have a newer car jim16v your totally right about when u have just washed and waxed your car, u totally feel proud of owning it :mrgreen:

YEa the oil sender should be on the oil filter housing, i think on the vr6 its on the back of the engine? but not exactly sure
