I know this has been discussed before, but ive still got a problem with engine vibration on my 16V 2.0L at around 3000 to 3500 rpm. Ive checked the heat shield by the driveshaft, and it's secure in place. Ive also had the front engine mount replaced, with no change to the vibration. I know other people have had the same/similar problem, just wondering if anyone has any other suggestions for possible solutions? the vibration is specifically through the pedals and seat. could it be a belt, or the vibration dampener things on the driveshaft itself? anyone?

i've got a similar problem, not as bad though. I think mine is due to the motor/window catching as it goes up, and the motor cuts out when its under a big load. the immobiliser will probably not make the electrics go off, as your lights, stereo etc should still work. have you had the door card off to see the mechanism working? something may have been knocked if the alarm bloke went into the doors when fitting the alarm.

will give that a blast first, cheers man!

as far as the vibration goes, it seems to eminate from around me feet, so i'm thinking exhaust vibration resonating through the chassis?

i dont think its electrical, i had a similar problem with my last scirocco and think it was air related, manifold or something similar.

cool, was hoping that was the case, i'll be having a look when i get a spare afternoon. do you have links to the pics? thanks

just wondering how easy it is to get to the heater matrix from the interior. the controls dont seem to open up the dash vents fully when switched from the de-mist windscreen mode. it feels like the main vent selector bit is just stuck a bit, and i'm hoping it would be easy-ish to fix if i could get in there. anyone?

got my first corrado recently, it's a 2.0 16V. its in great nick and runs really well. just got a couple of questions regarding the engine, hopefully someone here will be able to help me out. firstly, the idle is quite lumpy. the revs are rock steady on the rev counter, but it does shudder quite a bit, even when warmed up. Just wanted to know if this is a common thing, or whether i can/should get it sorted. secondly, at 3000rpm and above i get quite a bit of vibration/resonance through the pedals/seat etc. it's not a shudder, just feels maybe a little rough. again, not sure if this is normal or whether some bearings or something need changing. its not like wheel shudder, more like a high frequency resonance. might just be that i'm not used to the power!! i've come to corrados from a scirocco for several years, and there's obviously a lot more to consider engine wise etc! cheers guys in advance.

hi all, just got my first corrado, and it's a beauty. just looking for a few bits for it though. firstly, looking for the runners from either side of the roof, as they've perished quite a bit. the black plastic strips where a roof rack etc would go. can you get these new or is it a breakers yard job? secondly, looking for a drivers side front fog light, as the one on there is cracked. again, anyone know where i can get one new, or second hand? cheers
