  1. Got this one fixed thanks, had to go into the call logs. Is that the fix you were proposing? Did a hard reboot too, lets see how i get on. Mines V 2.0537.1.7 18-09-05 RM-84 Sorry for hi-jacking Paul.
  2. Same here. Mine's with Orange and they always have slightly different software for their features. Here's some more "quirks".... Ring tone is set to one other than the original Nokia but it switches back to this and my chosen one for no apparent reason. Crashes, runs slow, reboots (apparently a feature ) and when I set the pin on I lose my line 2.
  3. w*nker, sorry to see. Strange to see damage on the bumper and the wing like that, how do you think it happened?
  4. Lookin the danglies Guy, what a find. Silver centres and polished outers with the black bolts gets my vote too!
  5. I don't think this is anything to worry about if all the history tallies with the condition of the car. Traders do HPi checks on cars and are prompted to enter milage, often they'll enter 1 or zero if they don't know it and its logged against the milage history. Guessing that was the case here but entered that. My car shows 200k on hpi from a few years ago, was a typo was in fact 20k  Just go with the condition. Good luck and post pics!
  6. Don't hang about do ya Steve? Look forward to seeing what you do to it. Amit
  7. you gonna chave it up like you did your C?
  8. Cheers Kev, agree too (moreso for the later interiors). Just have to look at interiors of similar cars (calibra's, preludes) from the same era to see how well the C fairs. Amit
  9. Whats the range of the pressure gauge? 0-5 or 0-10 bar? I've got just the right sender going spare if its 0-10 as used in my valver 9a.

    Not again!!

Could be the tyres have worn to pulling left?
  11. The seller knows of its history. Seems like he bought the car in good faith. Is a shame as its a nice colour and with air con.
  12. well that car's now off autotrader and on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=4590833418 See questions below too
  13. Did early cars have ABS? Look out for engine stamp 9A (2.0 16v) or KR (1.8 16v) in the service book and stamp on the the inside of the rear boot panel. Obvious difference is if you pop the bonnet open on the left hand side closer to the front do you see just the airbox (9A 2.0 16v) or 4 fuel lines that sit over the air box (KR 1.8 16v)? From the spec it definitely sounds like a later car or someone has gone to a lot of trouble to update it.
  14. Great looking piece of kit. I think the front engine mount on the C VR is different to the Golf VR but I'm sure someone can confirm this.
  15. Really sad to see C ownership end this way Chris. Good luck with whatever you decide, was is a sweet C.

  17. My mate did call back to tell him and he denied it, while I'm not saying the sellers lying (as Jim states he himself could've been duped) it's worth being cautious.
  18. Hi, the seller of the following car on autotrader claims it has 69k miles but no service records. A call to VW will show it had 103k miles in 2000. Clicky Be warned!! Amit
  19. expensive to insure though. Can't go too wrong with a pug 306.
  20. I rememebr seeing your car for the 1st time in that 2nd pic at AmD rolling road April 2002. Remeber we conveyed up? Where's time gone mate? It was fairly standard then. I've seen it go through all its phases since. It's only ever got better and is one of the nicest C's about and always liked the fact you strived to be different (BTW thought the rims in the 3rd and 4th pic were sh1t but never had heart to tell you :D ) Shame the car had to go so soon after it was almost complete. It is a credit to your hard work good sir. :salute:
  21. Thats about the same he charged my mate.
