I've heard factory slam panels never had slots for both grilles early and late, however, replacement ones did. Was it ever pranged or slam panel replaced?

Here's mine, can you guess what its meant to read? Once MOT tester goes its in great nick for a C reg :roll: Still in 2 minds whether or not to put it on the VR, what you guys think?

Were'nt the late 20v UR Quatto engines same as the S2?

Dazzy, you were only getting 25mpg becuase you were driving at full throttle all the time to hear the induction roar :lol:

They are Kev. Were an option I think on Passat's, seen them come up on german eBay a few times now.

A mate has these on his bmw and at first they used to pop off with the metal expanding and contracting with heat so he had to silicone it in place, no probs after that.

the top mounts for G60's and 1.8 16v's (and early 2.0 16v's) are the same. The later 2.0 16v's and VR's have the same top mounts. I'd use these with the coilovers, bare in mind you will need to replace a few other bits. Replace the bits mentioned on page 2 and worth doing the rears too.

All the Diavia fitted C's had NORMAL/MAX button switch where the ABS warning light sits. The buttons above the cigar lighter was for factory fitted AC ie. LHD. Guy fitted this to his Storm and it wasn't plug and play because of the angle of the dash but he's now got the climatronic unit 8)

electric window switches are on the door pockets and the electric mirror switch is on the drivers handle. HTH Amit

No, they're not but they go from 8"x18" upwards in Europe :x Unless you import them from Japan where they are available in 7"x17"

BBS RC's and BBS RS301's are definitely the nicest wheels for the C IMO, but then I'm biase :D

VW offered electric leather recaro's on all C's as option, on the VR they were heated but on the 8v and 16v they weren't - and it cost more! You can actually trace all the previous owners of a car by writing to DVLA, think it costs about £5

They will fit the only difference is the rear armrest is bolted to a bracket welded on the base of where the rear seats sit on. The 16v doesn't have one. HTH

I've used Castrol TAF-X which is designed for VAG gearboxes but unfortunately hard to get hold of. Halfords don't stock it its one for the local motor factors.

Hi Mark, no sorry don't have them mate. Keep an eye out on performance vw site and the likes, there's late C being broken at the mo. Also post on wanted section of this forum? Look forward to pics mate. Amit
