Had i quick search for "petrol leaks" not much came up ? :roll: so here goes ! Got up this morning nice and early , to check the car over before york gti day So turned the car over and notice i very strong petrol smell ? I let it warm up for a few min's before moving it off the drive and pointing it in the right direction , ready to go !! Only to notice a line of fuel , leading back into the drive way !!! :x Anyway got underneath and there was fuel pissing out , from the channel were the fuel pipe's live !!! :mad: "Ball's to it" i decided to still goto to york in the works van !! Just got back now , and i cracked it up , to try to find the leak ?? Nothing , bone dry !! WTF ??? The only thing i've done is , park it on the road ?? my drive slope's back to the rear of the car ??? Has anyone ever had this problem , because i'm baffeled ?? :roll: Cheers

Just lowered my vr , using eibachs ! :roll: This happaned to mine also !! The way to fix this (without buying h&r's) :) is to fit , the inner part of a late mk 2 golf wheel bearing or get a spacer made up ! You then knock the spring plate off the middle of the shocker (the round bit that cup's the spring) and slide the spacer on before replacing the plate ! :wink: Also if your c is fitted with koni's put the c clip on the top gruve so the plate is on the highest setting !! Hope some of this help's ??

If you have already done the most common mods, exhaust , air filter etc There's the i few different options like cam's , flowed head , chip ! Not sure about the performance gain's v's the cost , i was told when i had my 2.0 16v dont expect to many horse's !! (Bhp) Hope some off this help's !! :wink:
