  1. Please don't forget to ring us if your car insurance renewal is due in November. (You can also email us (see separate thread) if you can't ring Mon-Fri 9am-5pm or Sat morning 9am-noon). From September onwards, we were given increased targets of attaining an extra 25% worth of business on already six figure sums (overall written premium) for new customers. In both September & October, we have achieved this! (The target set for renewal retention was also accomplished!). This shows that, because of both our prices & customer service at new quoting stage & at renewal, surely it's worth a (free) call to get a quote? 0800 917 2274 or if phoning by mobile, 01580 752961, though not free. (Please make sure you fulfil the criteria so we can quote!).
  2. Hi A tip off!!! The 'word on the street' is that premiums are 'hardening' meaning that they are going up. HOWEVER................. I was in the office yesterday & the New Business Manager told me that due to the success of our insurance scheme this year, the set targets each month have been upped by 25% remarkably! This started on 1/10/09. Even though we have had a good month already, on reckoning it could be that we are just under the set target so he told me that premiums will be even cheaper for people who have renewal dates from now until 31/10/09 just so that these targets can be met!!! The difficulty is that from now until February, there aren't as many people insuring cars. My thought is that, because of these quieter months, the premiums will continue to be cheaper for those who have renewal dates for now, November, December, January & early February. All I'd say is it's worth a call ESPECIALLY if your renewal date is within these months. (My long-term thought is that if the insurers show a decent profit due to increased business but at lower premiums, then this will continue throughout next year but that is only me surmising!).

  4. There is no doubting the success of our insurance scheme and we do thank all of you for ringing us. However, we are often asked about online quoting. All drivers must have held a full UK licence for at least 1 year, and to insure a 'performance' car, there must be at least 1 years experience of driving that, or similar performance cars. 6. Sorry about that. One of the new rules ius that you have to have 1 year's NCB. The insurers have seen a mass of claims for people without NCB so I suppose once bitten, twice shy.
  7. NEW IDEA!!!!!! WHAT DO YOU THINK? We are looking at launching a system whereby, to get a quote from us, you have the option of sending your details by email to us and then we will contact you with the quote. This would also assist those who can't get ring us during working hours or those who would just prefer to correspond through the forum. My question is would this be helpful to you? I'd appreciate your comments.
  8. Please don't forget to ring us if you have received your car insurance renewal through. People insuring with us in the first 6 months of this year made an average recorded saving of £60.02 off their BEST quote. In July, we had our 3rd best month ever in 26 years of trading. Earlier this month, we recorded our best ever weekly figures from the forums. We have taken on more staff to cope with demand. This scheme has been set up for you as a community so we can provide the discounts on your other cars as well! Please ring 0800 917 2274 or 01580 752961 if ringing by mobile, and don't forget to mention the club name/reference number.
  9. IT'S WORTH RINGING US BECAUSE........ Well, after my post about August being the second busiest month of the year for car insurance renewals, we have in the last week recorded our BEST EVER income regarding providing insurance for forum users (and their families). That's in 26 years! If your renewal is due in the next 21 days, please don't hesitate to give us a call on 0800 917 2274 or 01580 752961 if calling by mobile and PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO QUOTE THE CLUB NAME & REFERENCE NUMBER found in either my signature or my original post introducing the scheme! Don't forget to check out the original thread stating minimum ages, etc, for the scheme.
  10. Please don't forget to ring us if your car insurance renewal is due within the next 21 days. August and September are the 2nd & 3rd biggest months for renewal dates so I expect quite a few of you will be sighing at the thought! If we can already save our new, 2009 customers an average of £60.02, then surely it's worth a phone call...and a free one at that! 0800 917 2274 (or 01580 752961 if calling by mobile though not free unless you have free minutes!). One thing I ask - please don't forget to quote the club name and/or reference number found in my signature below.
  11. Hi Kev You should know more than anyone then that no insurers give ball park figures nowadays. Once of a day yes, but it's all scientific now with more questions asked! (You didn't even state your actual postcode). The other thing is that I don't do the quotes as I'm hardly in the office! We are more than happy with the amount of people insuring with us on here but i'm afraid it's a case of having to ring us a renewal! Sorry.
  12. Remarkably, July was our 3rd best month EVER in terms of business! Considering we have been going 26 years, that is great news especially in these days of the Credit Crunch. The reason for this is due to the fact that users of this and other forums are insuring their cars with us, simple as that! Therefore I'd like to thank all who have rung us & would encourage everyone to ring us anytime up to 14 days before their renewal date. It's a freephone number so it won't cost you anything to call (though if calling by mobile, it may be better to call on 01580 752961). You must have at least 1 year's NCB (unless you have NCB on a second car or a company car letter to state at least 1 year's claim free driving), and all drivers must have held a full UK licence for at least 1 year, and to insure a 'performance' car, there must be at least 1 years experience of driving that, or similar performance cars. Unfortunately, the scheme is not competitive on all M - Manchester, L - Liverpool, OL - Oldham & SK1-12 - Stockport postcodes and excludes Northern Ireland. It's imperative you quote the Club name & reference number found either in my signature or my introductory post as the community of forum users is better statistically claims-wise than non-forum users – hence the reason why the premiums can be so much cheaper. As previously mentioned, our average recorded saving for our new customers has been £60.02 in 2009 but of course many of them have seen bigger savings! (I read on one forum only this morning that we had saved one guy £200 off his BEST quote elsewhere!). What have you got to lose?!
  13. With August being the second busiest month of the year, after March, I expect quite a few of you are coming up for your car insurance renewal. Please feel free to give us a call when you receive your renewal papers through. I have collated a large list of excellent feedback from those who have already rung us so thank you for that. Our average recording saving for our new customers in 2009 is £60.02 off their BEST quote so now you know why we have had to take on more staff! The number is 0800 917 2274 or 01580 752961 if calling by mobile and PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO QUOTE THE CLUB NAME & REFERENCE NUMBER found in either my signature or my original post introducing the scheme!
  14. Hi Jim It's not really something our insurers specialise in, i'm afraid, but if we do get a good scheme on Classics, i'll let you know!
  15. Just to let you know that I'm away next week (20-24 July) & 24-28 August so if I'm a little tardy in replying, you'll know why! Please continue to post your experiences on here. We've had a great year so far, taken on more staff - twice now (!) - and streamlined our system to cope better so it's good that we can help you! One club actually complained that we had so much positive feedback/testimonials on our email, that it took them ages to open it!!! When ringing for an insurance quote, please don't forget to quote the club name and/or reference number found either in my signature or in the original post of this thread.
  16. Yes, must admit it's strange insurers stop at a certain discount but what can you do?!!!
  17. Hi Jay Are you already on 'full' NCB or have you gone, for example, from 2 to 3 years? If the former, then you will be on the maximum discount anyway.
  18. Have you tried our scheme?
  19. Yes, from an official viewpoint(!), inform your own insurers. If you've paid for Legal Protection, this is where you will see it benefit. They will ensure all goes well & that you are reimbursed any out of pocket expenses such as hire car, etc. Your own insurers will advise you on this. And don't worry, it should be a smooth process.
  20. One issue that has arisen is that a very small minority of people are saying we haven't called them back. Small minority or not, we want to speak to everyone who rings us. I can assure you we call everyone back without fail! The reasons we don't manage to speak to people is because either they have gone out, the wrong number has been taken down or, as has been said quite often recently, people don't answer numbers they don't know! Our stats show that we only manage to contact 2 out of 10 people on average! It’s frustrating for us as well! I would therefore ask that if for any reason you have had to leave your number that you PLEASE RING US BACK WITHIN 2 HOURS MAXIMUM IF YOU HAVEN'T HEARD ANYTHING, or otherwise, please leave alternative numbers. (Mondays & Fridays are our most busiest however!). (I covered for a colleague recently and was given a list of 4 people to ring back for a quote. None responded so, of the 4, I left messages on 2 answer phones, whilst 1 phone just rang & rang & the other was engaged consistently for hours. I checked a week later and at least 3 had not rung us back - I didn't have enough details to check the fourth).
  21. Hot off the press! In 2009 so far, we have saved our new customers a recorded average of £60 (£60.10 to be exact!) off their BEST quote, not just their renewal price, but their BEST quote! In fact, so successful is the scheme that we have taken on additional staff & next week we have a meeting to look at taking on further personnel! So, if your insurance is due in the next few weeks, please give us a call freephone on 0800 917 2274 (or 01580 752961 if calling by mobile) and don't forget to state the club reference number found either in my signature or in my introductory post when we first set up the scheme. Insurers find that club/forum users are better 'risks' statistically so make sure you mention the club! Don't forget to check the criteria you must adhere to, e.g. age, etc.
  22. Just a quick note to thank those of you who have tried the club insurance scheme. In March, we have recorded our best ever week for club 'business' - nearly double that of our previous record set in February, which was remarkable in itself! I had to recheck the figures myself! This is all due to the fact that people on sites like this have rung us & taken out policies. We must be doing something right! Just to let you know our opening hours are Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm & Saturday morning, 9am till noon. (Please don't forget to quote the club scheme reference number when you ring for a quote).
  23. A new stipulation on the Insurance Scheme is that you must also have at least 1 year's NCB (unless you have NCB on a second car or a company car letter to state at least 1 year's claim free driving).
  24. A GOOD REASON TO PHONE US IF YOUR RENEWAL IS DUE IN MARCH! March is generally one of the busiest months of the year for car insurance. There are a few reasons for this - Firstly, the new car registrations come out so plenty of new cars to insure. Secondly, this means that people who buy new cars, sell their existing ones which are then bought & insurance is needed for them. Thirdly, a major insurance company went bust in the early 1970's in March which left a lot of people without insurance meaning they had to get new policies immediately. There were long queues outside brokers with people waiting to get covered! This means that many of the affected, older generation still have March renewal dates! And on a totally personal level, we have just had our record week since we instigated these forum insurance schemes so we must be doing something right! Therefore, if your renewal is due in March, please feel free to give us a call and don't forget to mention the club scheme reference number found in my signature below or in my initial post which started this thread. 0800 917 2274 or 01580 752961 if calling by mobile.
  25. Sorry about that. The staff were sent home at 3pm due to the treacherous road conditions around here. They're back in tomorrow from 9am.
