Right since my engine went down the pan, i am sourcing a replacement...or a temp replacement till i rebuild the 2.9(to quite a crazy spec :D) I have found a 2.8 engine from a 98 golf with only 48k on the engine. It was rear ended and i am being offered at a decent price considering the mileage. I have been told by others that the vaery later 2.8's seem to be pushing 190bhp+ and not the usual 174bhp. So i am quite interested in this route due to the engine being such low mileage. Speaking to storm developents also, they say all i'll need to change is the inlet manifold for it to drop straight in, and others have recommended keeping the 2.9 throttle body. Now i have hear people doing OBD1 to OBD2 conversions......can anyone tell me, do i NEED the loom and ecu etc from the OBD2 to make it work? What do you guys think of the plan? some people are saying go with the 2.8, some are saying stick it out till i find a 2.9. Cheers, phil

What ever happened to this then, i need the engine.... -
Bleughh!! What the hell is that all about?? In all fairness i think it could work if the front end was dramatically changed, dont think the rear and rear part of the side profile look that bad. But, yeh standard mr2 all day long!

Yeh seems that way....i do still want to stay involved with the polo scene tho, so gonna maybe look for a G as a 2nd car. Quite keen on that. Looks like you have some good plans for her. Look forward to the progress :D

Was this basically to improve the lighting on the rado? Does it work?? Are there any other ways of getting better lighting performance, as i am getting a little worried due to me having along drive in the dark when i pic up my new one.

Aye definitely no surprise here....new it was coming! And i would be very surprised if he didnt end up back at renault due to there background toether! But like has been said, it looks like BMW are the only ones going to come close to challenging going by the season past! bring on a 3rd challenging team i say! Getting bored of seing the same cars out front all the time! But, with slight cotradiction....i really did enjoy last season! Was great entertainment! -
Welcome along mate, also a newbie here but owner of the other workhorse in the range :D

Welcome along mate! I'm a new corrado owner and i would also recommend HIC......i am £1250 a year which may sound expensive, but when you look at it, i am 20, 2 YNCB and its a VR6 with all modifications declared! So now....it aint all that bad! Good luck with the search though mate, there are always mint bargains to be had out there :D I know someone with an absolute minter with his price at £1500 but thats obviously a starting price ;) -

Hi folks. I'm phil watson, and 20 years old from bonny aberdeen in the north east of scotland. I'v just bought my first rado, well stuck the deposit on it and pick her up on the 15th ov nov being the day after i get back from offshore. Its a completely mint vr6, but i am not going to say much else. I'll get pics up of her when i pick her up in a couple weeks. A little bit about myself with regards to my car back ground. I'v only owned the 2, both being mk5 polos. First was a jazz blue 1.0litre which got written off due to some dafty pulling out on me :( So i really liked the mk5 so decided to stick by, and got myself a flash red 1.4 8v match. A really good car that i decided i wanted to properly modify. FEEL FREE TO MOCK!!! I was a young and naive 18 year old at the time, with obviously no sense in style  I spent thousands to get that monstrosity on there!!! But as soon as it went on and before i got it sprayed i ABSOLUTELY hated it!! Soooo, i started again, well being a bit demoralised by the amount i spent and how wrong it went i was just going to put her back to standard....so ordered up some new bumpers etc etc. But before i put them on, i thought hmmmm why not get the car smoothed since it was basically ready for it anyway....so i did! Spent a lot of money once again and got her looking like this. Was relatively happy with the way it was looking at this time. But then i came across the polo forums, clubpolo and uk-polos and this introduced me to the whole 'euro-style' I set about immediately changin the wheels and put a set of coilovers on her. Also put on a GTI grille, put pressed plates on and black angel eyes. This is what she looked like at the polo show 2006 I Still wasnt too happy with the way she was though, so went about a few more changes......GTI splitter, black mirrors, black b-pillars, in-pro headlights, hella rear lights, in-pro sidelights, BBS RM 15x7.5 & 8 and audi TT leather seats. I was relatively happy with the way she was at the moment, but i tell you....60bhp can get a little depressing, so since i had spent so much on the car already, i tough screw it lets just do a conversion. GTI with 125bhp
