Had a clear out today and found some good condition parts I no longer need: 1. Corrado VR6 BMC CDA + Brackets - SOLD 2. Corrado VR6 Aux Belt Tensioner (Powdercoated Satin Black) inc pulley Excellent condition. Bought brand new a couple of years ago, was subsequently powdercoated as part of an engine bay rebuild. Ran on the car for around a year approx 3k miles. Then removed following supercharging my VR6. Price: £40.00 + postage 3. VR6 Engine Cover (Painted Satin Black) Wet painted a couple of years ago, decided I like running without it. Has a few marks on the original cover so paint isn't perfect consequently but was tidy enough for an all black engine bay. All important tabs are present and correct Price: £30 + postage 4. VAG Re-circ/Bypass/Divertor Valve Supplied with my VF Engineering VR6 Supercharger Kit, upgraded to the Metal VF valve so this is no longer required. Part Number: 058 145 710 Good working condition. Price: £20 + postage 5. VR6 Camshaft Seal - Victor Reinz - SOLD Collection available for all items from Flitwick, Beds. Any questions, feel free to ask or pm.

This sounds all too familiar to the same problems I had after rebuilding mine in 2014. Mine chewed 3 pumps. Caused we think after muchos hair pulling trying to solve it: Metallic dust contaminating the PAS fluid system. Likely from blasting prior to powdercoating of varying parts. Pump out the last batch of fluid you have in the system and very carefully inspect it, if it's the same problem I had you'll find very tiny sparkly/metallic particles in your fluid. This we think ate the insides of 3 pumps. We eventually solved the problem but flushing the system with numerous litres of PAS fluid, replacing pump and then finally fresh fluid + bleed. Best of luck.

BREMBO retrofit on the Corrado, anyone done this? What ones fit?
StueyB replied to EJ Taylor's topic in Drivetrain
May just be the Cupra R brembo's that are tricky but I've heard first hand from two people when upgrading / refitting refurbished Brembo's, they've taken an age to bleed up. And still didn't feel great until some miles were put on them and a re-bleed. Planned 256 setup uses Purple Tom's guide on here for a combo of Polo 9N, Lupo GTI and Audi,VW TT/Cupra style 256 parts. Have a search. I'm only a couple of pieces of complete setup. Mocking it up soon. -
BREMBO retrofit on the Corrado, anyone done this? What ones fit?

Spent a number of months getting my Leon Cupra R setup to fit the Mk3/Corrado setup correctly. :) Things I've learnt are: - They aren't direct bolt on despite what the internet says. You will require 6mm carrier spacing to use OE carriers on standard VR6 hubs. - This then allows the discs to line up centered in the caliper and spin freely. (Can provide details) - You'll need some very very very generous / caliper friendly 16's if you want them to fit without wheels spacing. (I did). - For Example: Compomotive TH1680 ET25 catch on the caliper edge - and I'd say these are relatively motorsport friendly / inspired. - Prepare for upgrade to 17's when they don't fit how you want. - 323mm Leon Cupra R discs are expensive (be prepared) in comparison to say 280/288/312 setup's. - Standard VR6 Master Cylinder setup isn't really man enough for the upgrade - which creates it's own problem for upgrade. - They are a c-unit to bleed. And I suspect worse on a non-standard Corrado given the ABS bleeding problems people have. I'm upgrading rears to the matching Leon Cupra R 256 vented rears in the same breath and overhauling the ABS setup with the later Mk3 / Passat B4 Teves setup so it's running an as close to Leon Cupra R full setup as possible. This'll hopefully be suitable for stopping a 300hp Supercharged VR C over the standard setup. Hope the above info is useful, and doesn't put you off too much. -
Got a set here if required. Willing to let go for a good offer, storing for a rainy day project.

Parts for 256mm rear vented disc conversion - SOLD
StueyB replied to daves16v's topic in Parts for Sale
Thanks Dave. All sounds good. Caliper wise I'm already setup hence the interest about the 256 conversion. I bought a full Leon Cupra R brake set (Brembo front) and they threw the rears (calipers & carriers) in with it. Would you do £70 posted..? As i think it's a pretty good deal already.
