My old set up was very subtle IMO. You could put a 6" sub in the passenger footwell.

Driven one on plenty of occasions. My mates old car in fact, he just about pulled away from my 100hp mk3 Tdi at the time. It was slow sorry. The torque is great but in reality it's not much torquier then a valver if at all. The only reason it seems it is because it has no top end. Ive never had any issues to sort on either of my valvers other then the usual service items (dizzy caps, ht leads etc) so Im not sure where you've gotten this impression that the running costs are so different. ---------- Post added at 8:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 8:47 PM ---------- If you buy a dog it's going to need work but that applies to all corrados. The only advantage with the 8v is that it's less likely to have been ragged throughout its life due to its all show no go nature.

Use an RCA splitter. Alternatively the amps should have output jacks too in which case you can use that.
-
Yeah with the rust treatment. But as above, grind it till there's no rust left.
-
Would it not be cheaper to have your interior retrimmed? You can buy after market heated seat kits too. I agree on the 16's btw. 17's are nice but make the car look even smaller then it is IMO.
-
Out of interest why didnt you paint the passenger side being as you painted more or less everything else? Nice work either way, can't wait till I can get fresh paint on mine...

For the 2 or 3 mpg less you'll get around town I'd get a 2.0 16v. It's just better. All corrados are hit n miss. My first valver did 25+ around town no probs and 37-8 on a run. 2nd valver did 20mpg around town and would struggle for more then 33-4 mpg on a run. My VR did 20-23 around town and matched the first valver on a run with 37-38 not easily doable. My current 24v VR is useless on fuel but that's because I can't stay off the loud pedal lol. Seriously get a late 16v. Sorry but I don't understand the appeal in a corrado that would get blown away by a 1.4 polo (Tdi with a map, 16v 6n etc).

Cheers Rams. Axcel, it's far from perfect but such a huge improvement it's amazing! H, pm me when your ready! All my arches are rolled flat so no rubbing otherwise I'm sure their would be issues...

I agree with this...

100 watts rms? What's the fuse rating on each amp? Will help decide what size power cable to buy. I'm guessing 4 guage will do.
-
How powerful are your amps? Use a run of 4/2/0 guage then a fused distributor block with two short runs of 8guage goin to the amps. Set your hpf for your speakers amp at 80hz and set your lpf for your sub at 80hz. Have a listen with the gains set on a quarter and adjust to suit. Depending on the type of music you listen to you might want a slightly higher/lower hpf/lpf. ---------- Post added at 6:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 6:48 PM ---------- Oh and make sure you run a pair of rca's lol.

Ah cool I think my Azev's are et30. Your's look spot on to be honest. I'm surprised the ch's cleared your struts at et35! Any more plans for the rado then?
-
Hey Gareth, what offsets are your MO's??
-
Thanks Gareth. Need your rs' and recaro's now to finish it off lol. Are you still running the compomotives?
-
Gorgeous Corrado, one of the best out there in my eyes. I spoke to the previous owner on a number of occasions but I just couldn't get the cash together fast enough! You got any plans for it?
-
Thanks mate... A few more pics: For some reason the passenger side top mount died straight after fitting new wheels Oh and the old wheels are for sale at a very reasonable £120 if anyone's interested... Cheers
-
Hi guys this is a dead top mount right? Drivers side is still fine. The passenger side mount as above happened after fitting new wheels a couple days ago... :(

Sorry to hear that mate. Really sorry. You'll find a way to get over it though and you'll end up happier for it. I hope things work out for you though fella. :)
-
Cheers fellas. Annoying though... Spacer it is.

Bit of a resurrection but now my stupid storm has this same problem again. Exactly the frickin same! 8-10mm more poke up front on the passenger side. This is p*ssin me right off. Any more ideas why it could happen up front? Camber and alignment are near spot on. I'm going to get it on some ramps next weekend, if I can't find the issue I'm going to space the drivers side out 5mm. I await the telling off lol. ---------- Post added at 2:01 AM ---------- Previous post was at 1:56 AM ---------- I just had a look outside lol. More like 7-8mm pokier but still you get the idea. Pics tommorow. And yes I have late wings on both sides with the same tyres with the same offsets with the same bolts etc lol. Cheers :)

There definately One piece wheels mate with fake bolts. Real lm's in 5x100 will run you over 1k second hand easy...

Pictures of door triangles with tweeters in them?
Abdul replied to Portent's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
From a sq point of view those aren't a bad idea to be honest lol. Better ten havin the tweeters fire at the windscreen
