  1. Depends as much on the size as the condition. 8" D90's are worth the most, 6" ones the least as imho they just dont fill the arches out at all. 7" front and 8" rear is a nice combo or 8" all round. For a good set of 8's id expect to pay 250-300 ish without tyres. moreso with......
  2. I think you'll find the insurers have to either repair your car or replace it with the equivalent, I know of quite a few people who have told their insurance co.s to go and find them an equivalent car for the usually dismal first offer price and this usually results in a backtrack and a decent offer. Of course there are still co's round who will argue the toss but show me a decent spec Corrado for 1600 quid.......
  3. Two reasons why cars dont sell imho. One is crap condition. Two is Overpriced. Yours is obviously not the former so it must be the later.
  4. In my experience leads are leads, Providing your existing leads are functioning perfectly and not arcing out then so called performance leads dont make a jot of difference to performance. Sure if you replace a duff set with some spangly new performance ones then yes it possible you might cure a rough running car, as for getting extra performance - doubt it!!
  5. Jesus! Its only plastic! Who on earth did the last oil change! A monkey!? They dont need to be done up very tight to seal at all

    New RS6

Talking about driver training my Father was getting quotes on a E36 M3 Evo a few days ago, He's 62, has Police Grade1 or whatever it is (ie Pursuit training), has been driving high performance cars for years and Adrian Flux wouldnt insure him because they said he wasnt experienced enough with that type of car   I wonder how he'd get on with a RS6 to Flux then!
  7. I had loads of problems with my Magnecor leads when i had a set. They were fitted to my modified Saab 900 T16S a few years back, bought new along with a mate of mine we both had exactly the same problem. During damp weather the thing would misfire like nobodys business, turns out the King lead was arcing out, eventually the car became undriveable and would drop cylinders the longer you drove it in the rain - not good on the M27!!. They redesigned the king lead in the end but my faith in them had disappeared by then!
  8. Not much good as you have to be registered. You not got a photobucket account or similar? Id say 1500 quid for a valver especially when you consider you can pick up VR6's for not alot more.........
  9. I think the Coupe looks fantastic, Rear end is reminiscent of the 250 Gto.......
  10. And realistically thats the only way you can have a Corrado with that drop if you actually drive it... Where i live in the sticks your limited with the clearance of the subframe to ground especially on the nearside!
  11. Would be a good idea to post a bit of info about the car too.....
  12. Well your now the third person who thought they were 16's  8) I must say, washing the car roof is so easy now
  13. Forgetting the mileage part of the arguement - E46 M3?, Forgetting the Coupe part of the arguement - E39 M5?,Audi RS2?..... 12k is alot of money, 40k miles on a car that is 12/13 yrs old isnt neccesarilly a good thing imho, My mate bought a low mileage VR Syncro and the bores were so badly glazed it was badly down on compression. Not saying that car will be the same but just a thought.
  14. FFS thats just daft!! Discuss.... http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/344908.htm
  15. Looks good Andy Keep us posted how you get on with her 8) Looks like the Corrado got some favourable comments on UKS!, no doubt it will soon end - plenty of VW bashers (or anything non Saab for that matter!) over there :? Cheers Pete
  16. There is no way you can make a set of adapters 5mm thick! Not enough material for the threads!
  17. The Et on them is 41 from memory of thereabout so i dont see why you should have too many problems if you run 20mm adapters......
  18. Yeah i know what you mean about looking small but in reality the Corrado isnt much longer than as Mk2 Golf, i loved my Mk2 on Ronal LS in 15 inch flavour so i thought id try the TH Mono's. To be honest ive had two people say they look bigger than 15's, perhaps as there are not spokes it gives the illusion they are larger diameter than they are. main thing is im really happy with them and ive never seen another Corrado on TH Mono's 8)
  19. Youve already answered why they are so dear in the first line of your post...... They are the only 17" BBS RS with 5/100 pcd. Supply and demand.......
  20. Well the floorpan will be completely different for a start......
  21. Your Mad Jim! Yeah its got a nice interior but who is going to know that? I bet not even 99% of Corrado owners would actually know what it was at first glance? It seems like its an over inflated price as its been up for sale for yonks, in fact about a yr from memory, not neccesarily from the same seller as its been moved onto a trader but it obviously hasnt found a proper home!. The Cat D thing will put people off and obviously this is a major factor as to why its still up for sale. 7k nowadays buys you alot of metal and plowing that sort of cash into a Vr that would otherwise struggle to make 3k bar the fancy leather to me is just crazy!
  22. Personally im pretty sure your going to get bolt overlap with 5/100? I think one bolt goes into the rim straight through the adapter and into the hub, The other bolts bolt from the new adapter to the hub? I guess id rather convert to 5/100 but if they are TUV approved? then they should be ok. Ive used H&R 5/130 to 4/100 before on my 20vt Mk2 and tracked it numerous times and been round the Ring with no problems
