  1. ummmm... yes i think your right... its the second longest one??
  2. thank god for that!!! i thought my engine had inhaled something at some point lol!!!
  3. i took this pick of one of "Yandards" threads (hope you dont mind) what is that litle thing with holes in it?? i just have a flat plate..... has my engine swallowed something up?? file.php.jpg[/attachment:1m1vl92o]
  4. the one nearest the air box yes
  5. its raining and no sun but i will get a better one :) tomorrow CIMG2479s.jpg[/attachment:lqv2brla]
  6. i can-sprayed the whole of my car apart from the roof and bonnet in midnight blue and to be honest with you it looks a hell of a lot better than the roof and bonnet and the reason i didn't spray them was because they looked fine..... now they look crap compared to the rest of it lol. as said before take care and time in the prep work (filler, stopper, primer.) you also need a steady hand for the lacker but evan if you don't and you get runs or any paches thay just T-cut out into a nice shine.

  8. the plug nearest to the air box (i think its number 6) has oil on it how would i do a compression test??
  9. no i haven't how would i do that?
  10. i have tried: new plugs new ht leads new MAF new lambda new ISV what else may be the problem?? also the plug nearest to the air box (i think its number 6) has oil on it! :( thanks :) will
  11. its something to do with bigger inlet and smaller outlets on the head and yes also the cams. im currently swopping the bottom end for a 2.0l 16v (ABF or 9A) and keeping the 1.8l KR cams and head, apparently you gain 180bhp+ from that mod. hope this helps will
  12. i need to remove the head on a VR6 to inspect a cylinder becouse its only firing on 5 cylinders. does anyone have any advise on this for me or does anyone strongly advise against it?? thanks :)
  13. sure have... before the only cold air could get in through the gaps around the light, thats ok but this mod made the air around the filter cool down a hell of a lot quicker. my uncle owns a VR6 and we have placed the cold air pipe next to the tow eye and he notices a difference but we have yet to carry out any tempreture test.
  14. i have been a bit worried about the air intake temperature due to my Pipercross PK223 filter. climatronic wiring-Golf from May 01.pdfkjet.jpg[/attachment:182fyc91] so i have carried out several air intake temperature tests and the results are: the air around the filter and the air being consumed by the engine is the same as the outside temperature. when not in motion (in traffic) the intake temperature goes up to about 30 degrees with an outside temp of 13 degrees), but as soon as the corrado starts to move all that hot air that has gathered up under the bonnet gets forced out the back very fast. i have made a cold air intake mod and here are some pics. (THIS MOD DOES NOT EFFECT THE COOLENT TEMP AT ALL) 2.8l 24v Climatronic system.pdffront2.JPG[/attachment:182fyc91] inside2.JPG[/attachment:182fyc91] i hope this is helpful :D

  16. hi there cant make up my mind about what conversion to go ahead with, a turbo or a supercharger! i know that i have to change the comp ratio to 8:5.1 no matter what i do but it seems that it is much more hassle and costly to convert my 1.8 16v KR into a 16vG60 than a 16vt. does anyone know what the the different power gains are and any advise would be great. also is it worth while keeping my 1.8 16v kr head and kr cams and changing to a 2.0l ABF bottom? thanks :)
  17. ok cool. do you think it would worth while keeping my 1.8 16v kr head and kr cams and replacing the the bottom end for a 2.0l abf. also is true that from this mod alone i am looking at 180bhp+ not including the turbo/supercharger (which ever i decide to do) thanks :)
  18. ye but its just about the 16vg60 where as i want a bit more info on the turbo
  19. thanks people :) i don't suppose anyone could tell me the rough power gains i would gain?? and while i have the head of to fit the lower compression plate would it be beneficial to put a 2.0lt bottom on?? cheers :)

  21. hi there my 1995 VR6 has problems! :( it has a very poor idle (around 500-600) and keeps stalling at junctions! what my this be? chears :)
  22. ok thanks :D a roar box is just a air box made out of foam instead of plastic so maximum air intake. im a bit confused because i no that i need to re-map the ECU because of the air and exhaust upgrades..... BUT.... i also heard that i can not re-map the fueling system because it is not run by the ECU!. so i guessed that i need reset the mixture needle.... i dont know weather i am correct???? any help would be great please :) many thanks :D
  23. hi there i own a1.8 16v KR and i has a powerflow full strait-though exhaust system and a KnN roar air box. i had a look the fuel pressure screw on the side of the k-jet top and i was screwed all the way in! . is this right or would it be running very lean, it seems to loose torqe at around 5000-6500 so could it be lack of fuel?? if so how many turns of this screw shall i make?? chears :D will
