I have just got the exact same seats - recaro speed - and didn't realise that the original subframes can be adapted. Any tips ?
-
Funny, mine does the exact same thing but is a 2ltr 16v. I have replaced rotor arm, dizzy cap, o.e leads, plugs ,coil pack and battery! The only ignition part i havn't changed is the ignition amplifier which is on its way and hopefully will cure it. I sympathise with you 'cos it is well annoying :mad2:

Thanks Andy , I am honoured :notworthy: I don't supose you have any of the carbon parts for sale that didn't go with the car do you? First dibs please  It will be a shame not to see you at next years Tatton unless you are going just to 'look'

I didn't meet you many times but when i did you were always very helpful and friendly and your nugget was an inspiration to me. All that carbon got me all excited :multi: Seriously , i hope my valver can reach the heights your G60 did. All the best , Sam.

Hi Mate, yeah it did cross my mind when they came in the shop about 10 years ago trying to get us to stock them but never actually got round to it. Doh! Did you get the agreed value sorted? Sent it to them in the post along with some more photos so fingers crossed. Thanks again for your help.

I thought he would have ridden a corrado bike! (yes they do exist) lol

Help :help: I'm getting conflicting advice here, all the info specs about the 2ltr 16v say k-jet which needs to be tinkered with mechanically to tune it up. Stealth say it is ke-jet which can have a remap via the ecu. Which is right? I don't want to pay £250 on a remap when i could have it ajusted at half the price.

I have had a number of mechanical/phisical upgrades done to the engine as part of a rebuild. These are ; Re-bore with forged pistons, re-built head (ported), lightened + balanced flywheel, kr inlet cam, 4-branch heat wrapped manifold, k+n in 'box with a cold air feed. What can be done as regards a remap/tune up with the k-jet system to make everything run smoothly? :confused4: Where is good to go for a rolling road session in the north west? :confused4:

glad you like the car, call in if your passing, i'd like to see your motor. If I'm down that way, I'll drop by and say hello. I'm after a decent local bodyshop, so I might pick your brains on that front also, your paint looks nice in the pics. I have medium-term plans for a full respray, but want to get the chassis 100 per-cent first. How are you finding the poly bushes btw? My Mark 2 has them all round and it's a bit harsh, so I'm havering about using them on the 'rado, might look at the Vibra-technics ones as an alternative :?[/quote:3fmtr1l2] Only just had them fitted so don't know yet, plus i have only got them in the wishbones so far. I will get rear beam mounts and arb polys soon .

Eh up! Just joined up and i thought i would introduce myself and show some pics of my ride. i am a fresh dubber, two and a half years ago i owned a clapped out citroen c15 van and had no idea about modded cars. This is the result of a very steep learning curve with fortunately not many mistakes. It has by no means been a chequebook creation but has been nearly entirely my own ideas, with alot of help from my local bodyshop. Bit by bit , month by month it has taken shape and i am now very happy with the result, enjoy!! SPECLIST 1994 2ltr 16v twilight violet (bought totally standard and a bit tatty in september 2005) ENGINE - polished 50mm inlet manifold +rocker cover, trimsport power rhor, dipstick and holder and battery clamp, K+N filter, polished oil + water caps, chrome coilpack cover, braided hose, chrome oil filter, home made strut caps, carbon battery cover,SWG scuttle cover, full Powerflow stainless exhaust +stainless decat. Peace out, Sam.
