I know what you're saying about the silver and I defintely wouldn't go for pink :camp: . I'm hoping to help the huge contrast between the Blue and white with some other white bits (not too many) such as a roll cage and maybe some clear side repeaters. I think I will just have to experiment with the KWs and see what works for me - not to worried about comfort as will be taking it to the track next year I hope (hence the cage). I'm with you on the 15s, steering feels much lighter (perhaps giving me impression of being less planted?), car feels more agile and doesn't tramline like the 17s do. Definitely as positive move IMO. Tyres are much cheaper to! :D Which 15s do you run at the moment? I may consider getting some wider (15 x 7) wheels at some point or possibly wheels spacers. Not sure about the spacers as I know they get some bad press  . What are your thoughts?

Needs a good clean! The centre caps won't be silver for much longer, will be sprayed white to match. Noticed a MASSIVE positive difference in the way the car accelerated, turned and stopped - doesn't feel quite as planted however. I think I may drop her a little lower as plenty of room since those 17s came off. If anyone with speedlines has suggestions for floor to arch height, please let me know. All comments welcome.

fitting a non adjustable steering column (how-to)

Hi, looks like a great mod to do and there is a P Reg (96 - 97) polo saloon in my local scrapyard. I've had a look and the UJ is definitely bolted onto the column and not integrated. Should this be OK for the job? The chassis number is WVWZZZ6KZVR012336 if that helps? -
Thanks I am looking forward to finishing. I Thought that was the case. Well I'd best get on with it and then I just the have job of deciding what colour to paint the interior.

Still waiting...

Went to the goodwood revival today and saw two Corrados (among alot of other nice cars). 1st was a black VR6 plate N67*** in the car park for the revival and the 2nd I spotted on my way home (to Andover) was parked in the Seven Stars pub carpark in Stroud, Blue unsure of model though - reg N***WND.

Sorry fellas, just heard back from the guy on the other forum and the service isn't available at the moment :( but should only be temporarily as he is in the middle of re-locating. As soon as I hear if it is available again I will let you know.

Oh and to anyone interested (I think someone asked about price), there is a chap on another forum that can prep and powdercoat a set of 4 wheels for £100. Let me know if you'd like more details.

Sorry I've been really slack, not got the wheels on the car yet...was hoping to sell the wheels currently on the car to fund some rubber for the speedlines but had no interest. I will be putting them on the car early July now anyway. Should hopefully set the car off nicely now as I have just fitted some KW V2s which have enhanced the cars looks (and completely transformed its road manners!).

Hi I am in the middle of replacing some leaking fuel pipes, and I was wondering if it were possible to move the fuel tank breather pipe. Currently the pipe travels from the top of the fuel tank, along the bottom of the car and into a cylinder in the engine bay. Is it OK to re-route the pipe somewhere that is more local to the fuel tank? (eg exit somewhere to the rear of the car) If so, do I need to terminate the end of the pipe with a filter or a valve or can it be left open? One more point I'm not sure on is the cylinder which the breather pipe goes into - is it entirely necessary or is it OK to remove this? There is a further pipe which also goes into the cylinder. Pictures of the cylinder and pipes are below to help clarify: (Almost) Clear breather pipe disconnected: Where second pipe finishes:

These look great. Might have to order myself one. -
I have since discovered that they are an exact match!

Yea I agree, they look similar to the MO5 - which is partly why I wanted some speedlines. Once they are on you can check out mine to help you decide :) I've change my mind. Can You send them back to me ?? I think I might be hanging on to them now  I know someone who does alot of powder coating so he did me a very good deal. Not sure how much it would cost normally I'm afraid. In case you are interested, the shot blasting costs around £10 - £15 per wheel.

Hi i am about to replace my fuel pipes on my VR6, as one has a slight leak and others are beginning to perish. Would be very grateful if someone could inform of a couple of points; Approximate pressure of fuel through pipes or a pressure rating required of tubing. Appropriate diameter of tubing inside and out.

Just shot blasted and powder coated the speedlines I recently bought from emu: They are going onto my (Aqua?) Blue Corrado. Will post more pics when fitted.

Hi all, does anyone know if Golf VR6 coilovers will fit a Corrado VR6? A friend has some Golf KW varient 2 coilovers for sale and was wondering if they will transfer straight across. They appear as though they will fit when comparing his coilovers to my standard suspension. Assuming that they do fit, I'm guessing that the difference between the two different coilovers is the load rating.
-
Hi does anybody know if the same applies for KW V2 coilovers? i.e. Will VR6 MK3 Golf KWV2s fit a VR6 Corrado?
-
Got my stickers. Thanks v much Jake.

Would like some of these please!

Yea ive got these coilies on mine, i can only compare them with OE struts as they are the only two suspension set-ups ive tried. The handling improved dramatically, cornering is much improved much less roll than standard (but i did drop it quite a bit). they are quite hard and i end up bouncing up and down in the seat. The finish isnt great the zinc plating looks knackered only after a year, although they havent seized up (yet). I got them for £400 in a group buy on the VR6 OC................ :) sound, how much does the adjustible damping actually work or carnt you tell the diffrence between each setting realy This info on FK sport edition plus coilovers is very useful, does anyone else have any experience with these? I am tracking my rado VR so was wondering if these would be suitable. If not are there any others in the FK range that would be? I have heard very good things about KW V2, but don't want to pay more for them if FKs or another coilover will do the job. Having said that I have also heard that you get what you pay for and my understanding is that KWs are likely to last longer than other coilovers and perform very well. Any thoughts will be much appreciated.

No problem Andy, I would hate to hear of a man being put off his toast!! Definitely go brand new, they tend to get bent and out of shape when people remove them.[/quote:131fr633] That's the very reason I need a new one. VW it is.
