pyro3911 started following Vr6 gearbox, VR6 Gearbox and Genuine Porsche 996 turbo twists 7.5x18 9x18
-
Hi all, For sale are my genuine 996 turbo twists complete with centre caps. The front pair are 7.5x18 et 50 and the rear are 9x18 et 52 these came off my Corrado VRT and are now up for sale. These are in good condition and just need a wipe from being in storage but do have kerbing marks on all four. They were run on 215/35/18 tyres so had plenty of stretch on the rear. The wheels have tyres on but are well below legal limit so would need swapping. £350 Picture 1 - front Picture 2 - Example of kerbing marks on front Picture 3 - rear Picture 4 - Stretch on inside rear Picture 5 - Stretch on outside rear. Collection from Mirfield, West Yorkshire Contact me if you have any questions Thanks ian

Hi all, I have a vr6 gearbox for sale bought from G60Knight on the forum as a replacement for the busted box in my VRT, took my old box in for repair and they had a third gear in stock and swapped that in so this box is back up for sale untouched. It has not been on car but was told it is a solid box with no crunches etc. Looking for £100 collected from Mirfield, West Yorkshire. Cheers Ian

Hi all, Third gear decided it no longer wanted to be Part of the gearbox on my vrt so I am in need of a new box. I live near Leeds and would prefer to stay local but would consider travelling if the price was right. Let me know what you have got. Thanks in advance Ian

Anyone Know How to Sell a Number Plate????
pyro3911 replied to rado-steve's topic in General Car Chat
Yeah thats right £105 to put on retention including assignment to next owners vehicle or £80 for a straight transfer. People like regtransfers etc. don't include transfer fee in there value. ian -
Anyone Know How to Sell a Number Plate????
pyro3911 replied to rado-steve's topic in General Car Chat
It depends if it is a cherished number or the original number. If it is a cherished number then put it on retention for £105 this includes the assignment fee to transfer it to another car. Then advertise for the price you want and sell it. If it is the original number then I am unsure but I would think you will have to purchase a cherished number to put on your car and the sell the original. hope this helps Ian -
Hi, Don't know about MOT but check this out as it may be some help.http://www.oichan.org/mods/abs/abs2.htm Ian

Got to be the F1 for me, that was the only situation where the Veyron would win put them on a track and the F1 would easily kick it's ass. The Veyron is brilliant as a grand tourer but as a drivers car there was one clear winner for me, not that I would be dissapointed having a drive of a Veyron but i would sell a kidney to have a drive of the F1. ian

yeah somebody on here posted a link up a while ago still makes me chuckle when I see it. ian -
If it is going to be your daily I would go for the TT, my wife is going to get a v6 one I went for a test drive in one a couple of weeks back and it was brilliant. I use my vr to work every now and again and on a weekend. I love it and will never get rid of it but as I said if I could only have one and it was a daily it would be the TT all the way. Once you have been out in one your question will be answered, also try and have a go in a dsg they are great. ian

Which coilovers do you use on your really bumpy local roads?
pyro3911 replied to Leonard's topic in Drivetrain
hi, not into scene points but have you thought about air. ian -
Like all the good work going on. Is that the only box you are running james, if so won't it be a little loud? ian

Bummer mate. I don't know if there is any room to weld on a bolt. Then just use a normal wrench. An inch of weld is supposed to take a ton in weight. Hope this is a viable option Ian

lol alot of work to put a hyundia dash and seats etc. seriously a v6 is where it's at

hi, Why not look at the 3.2 v6 model they seem sensibly priced for what you get. I know that the 1.8 is more easily tuned but you can't beat the v6 soundtrack. ian
