Hi, can you get me a total price for the 3 center console pieces, the gear stick surround with gaitor and knob and also the handbrake trim plus postage please. -
17" Speedlines, wheels spacers and longer bolts
Trickygti replied to rickdonald's topic in Parts for Sale
Cool, dont worry I'd need the tyres too was just making sure. Ok cheers for the info, just a tad out of my price range at the moment. Great looking wheels though. -
Cheers mate, mines straight but I made a royal mess of the paint with a machine polisher so I'd rather just bolt another bonnet on ideally.

Is that £350 for the wheels and tyres? Will they fit without the spacers i.e no rubbing issues on calipers etc? -
I'm after a late spec bonnet in aqua blue if anyone has one, not bothered about the odd stone chip just as long as it's straight and rust free. Somewhere around the northwest would be ideal but I dont mind traveling a bit for the right one. Cheers

Could do with both center console parts if they're in decent condition? But I could do with them posting if possible? I dont mind paying £20 just for the center console parts plus postage?? Let me know please

Loose wire and connector near gearbox..... any ideas where it goes? (95 VR6)
Trickygti replied to ISSY's topic in Engine Bay
What colour is the wire? Only things I can think of that it might reach are one of the oil pressure switches, oil temp sensor or maybe something on the alternator? -
Cheers for that I'll give mine a check before I head back to England with the VR. Managed to acquire a brand new quantum fire extinguisher from a Mercedes that was traded in a couple of weeks ago but can't help but think leaving it in the boot might not be the best idea as I'd rather have it close to hand if the worst did happen.

Could you put them on a pallet to send them? -
Just a few pics from yesterday as the sun was shining so we went for a blast :thumb: and a view from up at the motorcross track.

Tonight me and fellow Corrado VR6 owner Chris (VW_OwneR-85) set about fitting the replacement door I managed to get shipped over in the correct colour. Didn't think it would be too big of a job so after giving the new door a good clean and clay bar ready for fitting we removed the old door. Trial fitted the new door but found a bit of play in the top hinge. Luckily Chris who was helping me fit it in his shed had some spare new hinge pins from when he fitted his. A bit of messing about later and the door was fitted and the hinges where good as new. A few minor adjustments where needed to get the door to shut correctly but it's now lined up spot on and shuts like a dream. Really pleased with how its looking now and gonna give it a good clean tomorrow ready for a Sunday drive with Chris in his Corrado too and hopefully get a few decents pics of the pair together. New easy access idea  New door ready to be fitted All finished and looking good Also removed the rear wiper motor and Chris was kind enough to donate his aerial and base and black rear badge which was very kind of him :D

I've just bought a cheap one off Ebay as mine was missing when first starting when cold but then clearing up. Cost me £72 delivered and car runs alot better with it. Could get a new genuine one for £150ish but just needed something to keep me going for the time being. Mine had a crack right under no'5.

Give Nick a call at northern radiators on 01274 745000 very helpful and great price delivered for a radiator for my VR a couple of months ago. They supply excellent quality german radiators and mine fitted like a dream. Fitting wise I took the front bumper off and slam panel and it was pretty straight forward after that.

You dont hang about do you :D just give me a shout when you need a hand with the boot lid fitting.

Well its been a while since I updated this, still having a few running issues, namely a very bad misfire has started first thing in the morning or after its been stood all day. So I assumed the coil pack was on its way out and get a new non genuine one today, fitted it after work and the car does start up better but still has a slight miss when on light throttle up through 2000rpm? Will see how it runs in the morning though fingers crossed. Crack in no.5 coil which I'm sure wont have been helping. Also fitted a new set of handbrake cables which were a bargain £9 each for genuine ones Fitted a set of genuine carpet mats too for a very reasonable £33 too! Got the wipers working a lot better now with a few tweeks to the arms and blades and just having a general tidyup of the bodywork too. Thanks for looking :)

Always fancied this, I'd be in the Corrado if I do go, I'm not far away from France either which helps. How much are tickets?

What standard headunit came in a 93 VR6 Corrado?
Trickygti replied to Trickygti's topic in ICE 'n' Secure
Cheers for the link, the manual I've got must be for a newer MD player as it's not on that list anywhere. Might still go for one for the retroness of them and have a CD changer in the boot or under the rear seat center hump to keep it completely out of sight :) -
I'm trying to keep my Corrado as original as possible, It's fairly low mileage and in totally rust free condition and I want to keep it factory standard condition, replacing any worn or ageing parts with original VW parts where possible. Thing is I want to fit an original stereo to keep things looking original inside. There's an instruction book in the service book pack for a Sony MD player but I'm thinking these came out a few years later than 93? It is a very similar looking headunit to what a lot of dealerships fitted back in the nineties but i think its a bit newer than when the car was registered. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm after a drivers door in Aqua Blue for my Corrado as mines got a big dent in it next to the door handle. Just needs to be a rust free straight door if possible, dont need anything else on it. Also would need to be put on a pallet and sent to Guernsey if possible. I know its a lot to ask but if anyone out there can help me out I'd be so very greatful Thanks Rick

Got it all back together and the cooling system bled up (what a pain that is) Got the new plug leads fitted too which I was quite happy to see where red ones when I opened the box! They're genuine VW leads and was expecting them to come black to be honest so it's nice to add a bit of colour under there. Also fitted the new header tank and cap to finish off the cooling system. It now drives so much smoother than it did and all the temperatures are staying where they should! Gave the interior a good clean and polished all the windows (dont think they'd been done in a while!) All thats left is to sort the bodywork and maybe a set of coilovers and I'll be very happy with it. Just a pic of it all going back together.

Anyone ever used VW's Classic Parts Centre in Germany?
Trickygti replied to Trickygti's topic in Suppliers Forum
Cheers pal that kinda clears things up and the bottom thread is also 1 of the parts I'm after :) -
I've just made an enquiry about a couple of Corrado parts that are obsolete through the dealers and was wondering if anyone else had used them for ordering anything? Was it straight forward enough? I know everything is in German but can be easily translated.

Great project you've got there. Those conrods look a lot more capable than the stock items, what sort of power will you be looking at when its finished?
