The reason I also bought one was not for speed but the uniqueness. No one knows what they are which is awesome and you get so much kudos for having them. 4 people have wanted to buy it in the last 4 months, dont think that would happen with a focus. But yea defo not as quick low down as my old mk2 but i fecking love the power after 4krpm. They are not a slow car at all, considering mine was built in 92. If i was u id keep the corrado n save for turbo if u want mega speed! :D

Haha you wernt to know that i dont know anything! I know how you feel mate im in my last year of uni and I finish on the 20th so its mental at the moment! Whats it like 35mm down? is that average for lowering? Well Id have to speak to my step dad cos he is doing the work for me but can i provisionally say yes to those depending on what he thinks?
-
Ok, im not too clever with suspension but im not doing the work, but when you say " good standard shocks (no leaks) with 35mm spax lowering springs" whats the difference between shock and lowering springs?
-
Just putting the Corrado back on the road this week after 6 months off, I took it up to the workshop, take wheels and see this has happened... broken.jpg[/attachment:rghuatho] Now it did basically look like this on the car... was all snapped at the top. Anyway... Not sure what to do now, should I replace the standard ones or should I go for new springs and lower it a little because a lot of opinion is that Corrado ride is too high anyway? If anyone could help me out on what to get, it would be appreciated. Don't want to spend too much either if it can be helped! Thanks, Dan

I wish i'd done something like that for my mk2 gti, was a really nice car and only had it for sale for £600 but got no bids :(

Does these problems happen often? Just because I was going to get mine done.

No I bet it sounds like a lawnmower! I cant understand why someone would want to do this! I'd feel like a right plonker driving around in this! :epicfail: -
nah don't have a splitter at the moment. Cheers for that though!
-
Hi got my 90mm splitter, now I just want to attach it. Found some information from a previous post but don't know where to get the parts, couldn't find anything on google, if someone could point me in the location of a website I would appreciate it. The parts were: 5 x N 015 946 1 Hex Head Panel Screw (A6 5x19) 5 x N 101 473 01 Snap nut (ST6 3x24.5x16) 5 x N 904 338 01 Fitted bolt self locking (B6,3x30) Or if anyone else has an idea how to fasten them? Cheers! Dan

You had a 944 and your worried about cost?! I dont know, I suppose it depends on how you drive them depending on fuel, you can have 35+mpg in corrado but if you drive fast it will be below 30mpg. Not driven but I imagine similar from gti6 maybe a bit better.

In my town there are a lot of shop keepers protesting against them, for example on the door of the chippie it says traffic warders not welcome, something like if you wont help us we wont help u! it was on the local news and everything! I know this may seem harsh but in your case thats absolutely shocking what they did!
-
Ah i see, would have really made sense for me to ask a member that has had one for a while lol!
-
yeh ive noticed there is quite a few people with turbos on this forum now, sounds good then!
-
Hey! no thats a mystery! I havnt driven it from November to now, thought id insure my mk3 golf instead over the winter. Only a month though and im going to put it back on the road! So excited!
-
Is this not going to stress the engine too much. Im not a mechanic or anything but the VR6 was built to be 192bhp, and 360bhp is nearly double the power! Would this decrease the life of the engine? Also will there be any sort of guarantee if the engine goes bang!?

I've got a headache now!

Came to my car today and started it up and the water light was flashing so i checked the tank and sure enough there was not a drop of water in it, which i thought was strange as id filled it up the week before. Then i topped it up and went out. Then the light came on again about 30min after driving so i got out assuming that it would all be gone again but it was full...!? I looked underneath and it looked like there might be a slight leak, but does the light come on if there is a leak or just if its empty. Any help would be great cheers Dan
