Hi, a little advice please. Maybe when I've had my C a bit longer I'll start giving some advice instead of leeching it! :shrug: Im running a 70mm pulley with a Stage 4 charger and chip, done at Jabba by previous owner. Was considering putting a 68mm on as a relatively cheap mod for a bit of extra power. 1) Is this going to give me much of a gain from a 70mm? 2) Would it be wise to change the chip aswell or will a 68mm run ok with current one?

I've only adjusted one end of the linkage too, but it's wound in quite a long way. Is it still likely to blow seals or is that just if both ends are done to the max?

Time to revive an old topic... I've got the same ebay kit on my G60 and had a play with the adjustment as described on the rather porrly written instructions. Maybe it was just my butterfly linkage but it is NOT easy to remove, and takes a lot of wrestling with pliers and screwdrivers in a rather tight space! I've wound it right in and the noise is certainly louder. Done it more out of curiosity than anything else and I'm not sure how long the novelty of noise will last till I put it back. Pardon my ignorance but what exactly am I changing by altering this linkage, and is it likely to shorten the life of any parts if I leave it like this?

Cheers for the advice- ye I think I'll fit an alarm soon, I suppose the more security the better! I also noticed something else today, i had a passenger in the back for the first time and got a lot of knocking from the OS rear side, especially when still. I'm guessing that means it's been lowered a little too much??

Hi guys, just bought a G60 from down in Hertfordshire, it's now in Shrewsbury (got it through Pistonheads, somebody on here might know it already!) Absolutely love it, been worth the months of looking and researching- a bit of a scary jump from my mk3 golf GTI! It's had a few mods done on it- Stage 4 charger, 70mm pulley, superchip and a scorpion sport exhaust. The noise is awesome once it's moving but it's a bit rattley and well... 'chavy' when it's idling. The guy I bought it from suggested wrapping the manifold with heat insulating tape to muffle the noise (can buy this fairly cheap on ebay). What's your take on this? On a point aside- It's currently just got an immobiliser on it, no alarm, and I'm pretty edgy about it getting nicked/broken into. Are they particularly desirable to theives or joyriders? Has anyone had theirs pinched before? Sorry about all the questions, I've never known anyone with a Corrado, nevermind a G60, so I've got a lot to learn!
