  1. I've not heard about G40 ones working- I had been told that Mk2 GTI ones are identical apart from the nut on the bottom, making them fit better with an oil cooler. But to be honest I wouldn't put anything different from standard as it could goose the G-lader. Some people just hacksaw the nut off the standard one!
  2. I have an S1 type on mine- the charger inlet is blanked off and the oil vapour-spewing pipe is run out of the bottom of my bay. The S2 kit looks like it returns the oil into the charger- in other words you get the lubricating effect of boost return but not the hot air. I was talking to another G60 owner about this at a meet recently, seems like a good idea and saves buying PTFE spray to lube your charger. Anyone else got this type of kit??

    airbrushing????

I agree to be honest. I wouldn't do that to my car but if we had what the majority of people think a nice car is, we'd all be driving Focus... My parents don't like my car cos it's noisy, the chavs don't like it cos it hasn't got a body kit, the reps don't like it cos it's old, but I like it! I admit it's nice when someone stops you in a carpark to say what a nice motor you have, but I own it for me  And whatever other people do with their cars is up to them if they like it I guess :)
  4. Black N reg VR today in Shrewsbury next to Tescos
  5. That's the ABS kicking in :) without it you'd get lots of screeching instead of juddering and a few more dead pheasants each year! You're one of the luck C owners to have working ABS!
  6. I think because certain companies have better repuations than others they have a lot of work to handle. In stressfull times the 'non-urgent' stuff can fall off the radar a bit, I know I'm guilty of that in my line of work sometimes. I don't know exactly what your issue is but it's worth bearing in mind that it's better to have to wait for your car / charger to come back perfect than to have a rush job and a half arsed rebuild. However, it's nice to be kept informed when you're parting with a lot of cash! I guess it's only fair to moan if you feel you have tried to settle something as far as you can- and the suppliers section is a place where owners can look for advice via good/bad stories with companies. Everyone makes mistakes but the main thing is that it gets dealt with. An email can be a bit more formal than a phone call- maybe make it known that you aren't pleased that way and I'm sure someone will deal with it.
  7. M5 VWC- The one from Fifth Gear! Saw it today parked on Wenlock Road in Shrewsbury. Hope it stays there as I drive that road about 6 times a day and it brightens my day up :D
  8. If by 'sensible' you mean lying down under your car to marvel at 'how noisey it is' and then sharing your thoughts with other 'sensible' folks... Then yes
  9. This is the best post ever  You're my hero!
  10. You might be better searching for 'boost return delete' as that's what this is, NOT a dump valve as they always tell you on ebay! It just makes the same noise as a dump valve (although a lot quieter). Have a look at this: http://www.the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewto ... =1&t=51415
  11. Aaaa I remember this from the last meet at Air baloon pub, you can't forget a Rado that low! Looks great. Wierd how it makes the car look a lot longer when its that low
  12. Arguing over cars (or music, football, computer games etc) is so pointless... A discussion stating you OPINIONS is fine, and giving advice, or even constructve criticism, but out and out bitching is such a waste of time- Especially on the internet! Makes me think of this (sorry if anyone finds it offensive but it's so fitting to this thread!): ArguingOnTheInternet-Special%20Olympics.jpg[/attachment:2su71u1g]
  13. Great thanks mate. I was never really a fan of the black backed ones but I like the chrome look. It started with me buying the fogs and indis as the hella ones crack so often. Then made sense to match them with the headlights too. So ye, the lights are one of the few things that work on it at the moment... Promise I'll get my thread updated when it's all fixed! Might see you at the RR day next weekend?
  14. was looking at your car all day mate, shes a beaut!!!!!!!!!! its made me want to go all the way with mine, take it to the next level... if it can be anywhere near yours i will be happy, it looks brand new!! love the brake shields to, awesome work... and the underneath looks so nice to!! im hoping to have the same work done to mine to make it all good, cant wait :D and it will be ready for edition mate dont worry, will come say hello, im sure if you show it you will win something I had a nosey at those brake shields too while I was at DG- it's that kind of eye for detail that sets the 'Corrado nutters' apart from the 'Corrado enthusiasts' Loving the car by the way, I intend to own a VRT one day :luvlove:
  15. I've heard the G-werks big valve heads are the best but seriously expensive... Have a look at the site to get an idea. After all the usual chip, pulley, FMIC, injectors, cam stuff I guess its the only way to get more power and keep the G60ness of the car. Some people use ported throttle bodies and inlet manifolds as well to help the flow.
  16. http://www.matey-matey.com/g60-guide.shtml Scroll down and there's full instructions as well as expected results. Beware that this isn't as accurate as piping in a boost gauge.
  17. Saw this at DG last week, looks stunning. I felt rather guilty leaving my beat up G60 next to it :(
  18. I've asked the same question before but I'm thinking it's probably easily done with a strap wrench round pulley and a socket for the nut- the same tool used to get oil filers off. Am I right?
  19. You could at least take him out for dinner first...
  20. likewise - can't wait to go out on a track again! Favourite shot of mine from the day (despite the paintwork...) :D on track at Castle Combe.jpg[/attachment:26ktjqf1] Not sure I'd want to wear a helmet... If my G60 died I'd want to go with it...
  21. If you use a different size pulley you need to change the chip in the ECU or it won't run right. But as everyone has said, get it to a garage that knows about chargers cos the smoke and the noise looks like you could be doing serious damage by running it. G-laders are very delicate
  22. Would this be a good time to ask anyone about their views on the BBM ISV re-route method? :norty: I know this was raised a long time ago and no one ever really came to a conclusion on whether they were safe or effective on modded G60s.
  23. Ebay seems to have it's own Karma, I'm sure the duff stuff I've had has been evened out by some crazy bargains
  24. Saw a dark VR in Kidderminster today near DVLA test centre, gave me a thumbs up
