vr6-phil replied to MonkeyVR6's topic in General Car Chat
Are you after brand new as I think I have a used set off my old VR. If you're interested I'll have a look tonight. -
Lovely green VR6...looked completely standard spec...well looked after. Saw it at Thornton reservoir near Coalville, M*** LNH.

Have I found my perfect 2nd car? Subaru content...
vr6-phil replied to Leonard's topic in General Car Chat
I drove my father-in-laws Outback quite a few times and was always happy with the drive and handling. Obviously the Outback had a little more height to it so the cornering should be better in the Legacy. He had the 3l and it seemed to always get people talking...interesting really! Managed to beat an eager Mk4 Gti off the lights which the Mk4 really wasn't expecting as he was trying to beat us to the next roundabout where he wanted to turn left...he had to go right around the roundabout!! Made us smile. The subaru is a nice car...only issue is that for an estate it isn't too great on rear leg room...other than that...get one! -
if you put the solitudes on you'll have to change your signature!! :)

Wow!

Spotted this one on my latest trip to Germany...looked a little shabby in the 'flesh' though :( photo.jpg[/attachment:3qzpz7st] Spoiler stuck up, big dent in the side, scratched paint work, didn't look too pretty from the front...well at least I saw a Corrado in their homeland this time!!!

I'm sure I have seen that plate on a black X5 in leamington...maybe it was B19 TOY. There's a BMW 325L I see most days with the plate 'BMW 325L'...nice! oh, and out of the two options I would go with the second one too!

My new motor as of last week: 01-plate.jpg[/attachment:3r641smw] SAAB 9-5 2.2TiD So far it is a different experience! Went for the SAAB as the pushchair and other baby associated goods fit in the boot with out a hint of a problem. Cruise control, climate control etc and as for it being diesel...well 28mpg on the corrado has gone up to 43mpg, which although for a diesel isn't amazing, compared to the corrado it's a big change. Just been up to Birmingham yesterday, down to Chelmsford and today and only just scraping half a tank of fuel used...it's not the same but it make a nice change for now!

N*** CAR: blue storm in Birmingham Children's Hospital car park this evening. Alarm bleeped at me as I leaned in to look at the mileage (159k!) and take a peek at the interior. All seemed standard. Could only see a Club GTi sticker...not the one I wanted to see!! :)

I had a chap compliment my motor in a car park who then proceeded to tell me all about his motoring history (Mk2 and Mk4 Golfs) trying to cover up the fact that he was at that moment in time about to get into a Peugeot 106 (which was his sisters by the way!!). Seemed a nice chap and said he liked the fact that I hadn't made it "too bling" by putting "shiny bits" on it! It was an interesting 15 minutes I have to say!

Spotted a nice silver N-reg VR in Bugle (nr St Austell) last Saturday morning around 10:15. Also saw a dark blue C on the Longbridge roundabout (Stratford) last night (around 6:30ish). All I really saw from a distance was smoked rear lights!

Come on over, the more the merrier! It would be nice to see more Cs around the place. :)

I am with esure and 'only' pay £300 for me and my wife on the VR, with I think, 12000 miles per year. Not as nice as the £150 that was for my C2, but a sacrifice I was willing to make!

I have the silver version of the Sony and I've been happy with it. Easy enough to use. Bought the iPod adaptor kit from eBay for about £12 which works...not brilliantly but it works! Takes forever to scroll through to an artist/song if you want something in particular, I have resorted to 'shuffle all' and see what I end up with. Seems to power the standard front components and a pair of 7x10s in the rear just fine.
