i have a stainless stell 4-2-1 exhaust manifold, but when after 5mins of running its glowing red hot is this normal? also just got oe heatwrap on chassis will this withhold the temp? next question is what should the timing be and fuel/air mixture for this particular spec: ngine: stage 4 charger Jabbasport fully Rebuilt 1.9 Bottom End Je low compression Pistons 9A 16v Rods Later crank Fitted New Oil Pump Bearings and Seals Lightened Flywheel Fully Balanced Bottom End TSR pack C Big Valve Head Piper 285 Cams Shaft Polished Rocker Cover and Head Sachs vr6 clutch red top injectors sns chip gear box: 1st,2nd,3rd + reverse vr6 gearing and limited slip diff - stealth racing Breathing: custom front valance custom cosworth intercooler custom 3" pipework mocal 16 row oil cooler + thermostatic sandwhich tsr flowed manifold stainless 4-2-1 exhaust manifold decat full miltek exhaust system any ideas??? -

basically can you fit weber carbs onto a g60? never seen it done before and have no idea why this could or couldnt be done....opnions?

g60ness best word of the day! which injectors would you recommend on here? ive also heard of vr6 fuel pumps being used with vr6 lightened flywheels, has anyone had any experience of that...

right then my internet had packed in for around two months, which was way too many. but i managed to get some parts together ready to fit. i know its not a g60 front mount, but i now have a cosworth intercooler with custom made ends and the relevant pipework to fit it. its properly fat and will fit in between the headlights, (may need to relocate the battery, any ideas how?) my mates going to sort most of the standard rubber items and make up some stainless tubing using his industrial pipe bender. waaay i also have a new 16 row mocal oil cooler and thermostatic sandwhich plate, oh and a custom made stainless 4 into 1 manifold as for gas flowing the head. any companies supply them ready done and what sort of price would i be looking at, henny your head sounds amazing (not to be taken the wrong way tho :D )

right, i have two stage 3 rockford fosgate 12inch subs producing 500rms a piece and an 1050w mtx audio amp, my problem is that most times i drive anywhere longish distance, the power drains from my battery and i cant start the car when i want to leave. the battery is in good nick having a power check on her, and has been running fine since i have stopped listening to the system. Prob is i want to listen to the system :lol: do i need a capacitator? if so how many farads for my system? or would a seperate battery be the better option? cheers pete

can you get aftermarket bushes for aftermarket coilovers?

i need the bushes all round as some of them are going, but my question was based around the rubbers on the fk coilovers i have, just wondering if anyone knew of anywhere to get replacement rubbers for them instead of buying the full units again. what do you mean about the r32/tt, drafting coilies in from there? or are you talking bout the bushes? cheers pete -
i have some fk highsport coilovers, thinking the bushes have gone as theyve been squeaking and bouncing through the corners a bit more then they use to, does anyone know of anywhere to get the bushes for them?

i def think if i hit 200bhp im gonna be propelly addicted too mate, love this car! mates got a vr but the g60, well its just seems alot revier and faster acclerating, though i havent driven one :( yet :D so how does a charge cooler work, is it in the same way as an FMIC ? also, any difference in the rallye intercooler to standard golf g60 ? just one other q, im thinking of getting some new interecooler, radiator pipework made up, which metal should i use i.e. steel/ stainless and what bore of pipe should i be thinking of

thanks for your replys guys, first g60 so still getting to grips with how a supercharged engine works and how to make safe performance gains, On a budget! but gotta say i have fallen in love :luvlove: wit the noise, the looks and how it holds the road - Awesome - i think what ill do before trying any injector jobbies is make sure the head is flowed and ported, invest in a larger intercooler, conrods, larger throttle body and a larger bore of the original pipe works, four branch and mocal oil cooler sandwhich plate. (poss new cam) All i want to do is break the 200bhp barrier and see what happens from there!!! you reckon itll happen with that lot?

right i have a guy thinking of breaking his corrado, he bought a load of performance bits an pieces so most have done 2000 miles. my car is running 170bhp 177ft lbs of torque. he has mocal 13 row, newman 268 cam, ebay FMIC (modded to fit), spal slimline fan. willing to part with 230 for the lot are the parts worth this much money in terms of performance gain? how much would i be expecting to gain? and would i be better off with other mods?

dont know what mod to pick and need some advice as to what mods are easy to complete and offer the best gain? shout out if some are crap or if i missed some out. what you think peeps!? its runnin sns chip, stage 4 charger, 68mm pulley, stays around 96 oil temp, milltek straight through exhaust, k&n panel filter with drilled bottom of standard airbox and cold air feed. Options: was thinking of a cam but dont know whats best etc.? was thinking of a better crossflow head, poss of a mk4 2.0 gti golf, dont know if this is possible though. or just polished, ported original head? new throttle body? no idea what to pick rallye rad? mocal oil cooler + sandwhich plate?
