Hey mate Im 22 with a G60 and pay around £670, theres always somewhere cheaper if you look for it. Iv always found that online insurance is cheaper, but thats just my experience. Iv used elephant for a couple of years now. Pretty sure the only C to come with leather interior was the VR6 'Storm' but it can be fitted into any other C. Or like me you could get a re-trim done (well when I can afford it) Oh yeah, welcome to the forum mate DM

Wish you all luck for the future Congratulations on getting this far DM

em, dont know i just asked John from Bedrock for a quote for parts and labour for various things That was the final quote Id rather they did it anyway, they know what they are doing unlike me
-
For the 5 points above plus a brake fluid replacement i was quoted £725 To be honest id rather spend a little extra for someone who knows what they are doing to do the work. I dont wanna f**k it up. Thanks for the response DM

Ill get all the repairs done apart from the bump stops just now then. Probably get an oil change and brake fluid change at the same time. Cheers guys DM

Iv been told that the guys at rolling road days will abandon the run if certain things are not up to scratch... Seems reasonable and fair to me. However iv got some repairs that need done and would like to get the essential things done as my C will be on the rollers on the 30th of this month. Dont want my run abandoned. Here is a list of the repairs that need done... 1)Both rear bump stops replaced 2)Off side CV boot replaced 3)Front engine mount replaced 4)Nearside drive shaft rplaced/repaired (anyone got this part....its expensive) 5)Steering set up Can anyone tell me what will need done now so my run on the rollers is not abandoned. Cheers in advance DM

Unfortunately.... A Porche Boxter  I know... entry level bad... "The only person that has a boxter is someone that cant afford a 911" A guy in my old work had a very rich dad who bought one for his missus (would you buy your missus a 911?) . Anyway they went on holiday leaving him with it and he gave me a go on a lunchbreak. Must admit it was rather rapid.

Iv found out today at bedrock alan with the polo G40 won and JohnJ's VR6 came runner up.... Well done John
-
yeah me too, I went a few years ago and it wasnt much better then either. Who won in the end? DM

Its your suspension arm that is twisted and possibly your driveshaft. I did the same thing month or so ago. Is there greasy, oily muck all on your alloy, if so you have bu**ered the CV joint as well. For the CV joint and suspension arm I paid £200 and iv still to get the driveshaft sorted, its about £170. Dont know if there is anyone here who knows cheaper, but thats what I paid. Hope this helps and hope you get it sorted. DM

well considering your age and the insurance grouping a storm is in......thats not too bad Thats bloody good for your age and the fact its a Storm. One of my mates drives a 1.0 litre clio L reg and his insurance is nearly that for TPFT Id actually be quite happy with that mate -
OI! you werent suppose to mention that, not everyone knows about it.
-
cheeky monkey!!!  i'll move this into the caring and repairing section :D :D

some insurance companies give you a discount if you are a member of the Corrado Club of Great Britain, dont suppose you are? The CCGB site I think is back up and running almost and if you arent a member and want to join if you wait till November you get 14 months subscription. If you joined now you would just get till this January. -

just be careful you read the terms and conditions on elephant. You can get a no claims point bonus accelerator in 10 months rather than 12, however I know of a few people who changed insurance companies after 10 months and they werent allowed the no claims point as they were suppose to stay with elephant. Something to do with it not being the full year point. Personally I think they shouldnt be allowed to do that cause you paid extra for that service then they just whip it away from you.
