Yeah it was you that brought it to my attention! I normally was checking this forum now and again for Rad's showing up in my price range but hadn't checked it for a couple days. I thank you sir! And I'm pretty sure theres a small crack on each foglight. They don't work either. I'm not fussed though as its summer and I can't stand when twats drive about with thier fog lights on when its just dark... :censored: I'll sort them after it gets foggy again

That's what went through my head when I said I'd give him money. That if it was a disaster in the MOT area I could just break it and make back that £100 easy. But since I was already looking for a Corrado/Mk2 I wanted to save it if I could within my budget. Which it was. Better me Driving it than it being in pieces!! :luvlove:

Most of you will remember this Corrado from the Sale and swap forum. Phoned the boy up and said I'd pop round to take a look at what nick it was in as he was only 10 minutes away from me. Turned up and had a good look around it with the guy, he was genuine enough to point out anything I couldn't see or didn't notice. A few pieces of rust, and a couple parking dings, nothing major. He took me out on a quick drive with it and It was still pulling as it should and put a grin on my face (I know its just a valver but I was used to driving a diesel. :() Got back and had another quick look around it, asked if there was a fail sheet for the last MOT but it had been lost. Was told it was just the rear caliper and Cat that needed replaced. Thought that was a bit small for the boy to be giving it away. Thought fuck it and told the boy I can take it whenever he wants and I'd give him £100 for it too. Later on that day It was picked up. That was October, and with having no garage and no money due to christmas the plans to get it on the road were put on hold. February comes and I start recovering from Christmas, I start getting it ready for the MOT. Get it put in to the Garage to get a Fail sheet to work from. Comes out with a pretty amazing Fail sheet from what I expected. Emissions were just barely over, Rear discs + Pads, Handbrake Efficiency, Knackered Ball joint and ABS light stuck on. All that was sorted and she was fit for the road. There's no service history with it :ignore: but It did come with a lot of MOT slips, a folder full of receipts and pretty much all of the tax discs. So first things first and gave it a complete service including timing belt. Then I took to cleaning her up. Took off the rear wiper as it never wanted to turn off and I couldn't get used to having one either. The tops of both bumpers had areas where it faded quite badly. Took a bit of T-cut to it and now its looking much better. Before: After: Got rid of the original Rubber steering wheel as it was twisting and turning and doing my head in. Also threw out some rubber Halfords mats (was actually one of the first things I did..) Managed to get one of these on the cheap from the Black Isle also. Then I got some Pressed plates to top her off. Since I have to do something about the stilts it's currently sitting on I got these to throw on, Just waiting for some space in my mates garage to get em on.

Been pulled over twice by the Rozzers(Just for checks, no law breaking...), both times one of the two mentioned something about it. First time one was saying how it was a good job I saved it from being scrapped and that he always wanted one himself. The 2nd one said he used to own a scirocco and wanted a VR Rad. He then started asking me questions about if the spoiler works and if its still pulling as it should at 149k miles.

Ah safe. I was thinking since there was no pulse it was the Pump. I'll have to track done someone/somewhere with VAGCOM up here to find out what sensors causing it. Cheers for the quick reply lads!

My ABS light is constantly on and its failed the MOT thanks to this. When I start the car with the brake pedal pushed down it drops down about 1cm after its ticked over, but doesn't really pulse. Is my ABS pump knackered??

Also another unrelated question. Just went down the road and up making sure its running okay, The fan on speed 4 squeaks really badly but if I put my foot down and reach around 3000rpm the dash and my headlights get brighter and the fan starts running fine. Any ideas what's causing that? low power in the battery? Apart from that its running fine .

First off, I've searched, which has got me thinking and asking this question. I would normally just leave it a couple days and see the answers for myself but the car is going in for an MOT tomorrow and don't want to find it out the hard way! Since I got my Rad the battery would die between 3-4 days. The battery itself seemed fine and is holding its charge. So I was planning getting a hold of a multimeter (I don't have one...) and going at the fuses till I found the culprit. However, today whilst searching around I found a couple things on Boot central locking not working, which mine wasn't. So I tried a couple of these things and long story short it was just a seized hinge that moves the lock from open to close which was fixed with a small splash of WD40. Now, I also read in a thread about battery's draining that it could be due to the central locking not fully locking and still taking a draw from the battery. My question is, If the lock wasn't opening fully when unlocked, would this cause the same effects and still be drawing from the battery? As I was leaving the car unlocked but the boot would be stuck locked due to this seized hinge? (I could never open it in the horizontal position.) Cheers in advance for anyone that can shed some light on this for me. Also, Apologies for making a thread on what seems to be 2 very talked about subjects on this forum. Haha. :ignore:

and use the factory RCL? Searched and found out the info needed for removing the aftermarket alarm but nothing about using the factory RCL. It's a 93 valver. Previous owner said something about a slot under the dash for the RCL fob but its disconnected atm, i have no idea what it is though . Cheers for any info/help guys!

First off, i have a Clifford concept 300 put in my Rado... Tried starting the car today and it was like the battery was dead, wasn't even attempting to start and there was no ignition lights. :censored: As I took the keys out the alarm went off. Locked and unlocked on the key fob, indicators flashed and alarm beeped but there was popping noises and the locks didn't actually move. Got out of the car and about a meter away the alarm goes off again. :censored: Try to lock and unlock and the car but nothing happened. Hopped in the car and put the keys in the ignition and turned the ignition on and it started. Thought that'd be a good enough fix to investigate whats going on. No deals, lasted a minute max and started going off, Fob, nor ignition works. After arsing about trying to jump start the car with broken jump leads (no deals on this either, exactly the same.) I just whacked the battery out in the end. Now I've got a horrible headache and I'm pretty sure the neighbours aren't too happy with the alarm going off and me shouting and swearing at it for 20-30 minutes! Anyone have any clue what on earth is going on? I've never had an aftermarket Alarm/Immobiliser so I don't really have a clue. Battery is pretty new and it was sitting for a couple of days, Only thing i can think of that could have drained it is the radio doesn't power off unless you physically turn it off (it was definately off though) or the Immobiliser was left in Valet mode, which I'm certain the previous owner advised to do.

Stin you'll get raped full stop!

What bolt is this? It's my first Rado so I'm still pretty clueless! Yeah I'm a long serving member on other Forums, I know just how annoying it is when someone just signs up and posts a thread consisting of "OMGZ! Mai windoes dnt work. Wats wrong?!?!" when a simple search will come up with about 10 fixes. Cool, The cars not on the road yet so I'll take the battery out and give the tray some attention. Will a sand, rust treatment and cheeky spray do? Suppose it is probably just water coming in around the headlights from the hose. Another quick question, I've got a Clifford Concept 300. Assuming taking out the battery isn't going to have it going mental or anything? Yet again, a noob with aftermarket alarms

Done a search to no avail so apologies if this is a common problem and an easy fix! After washing the 'rado yesterday I popped the bonnet and noticed the area between the battery and the headlights had a pool of water in it. I'm a total n00b to working on cars but I know enough to know its bad! Is this a common problem? or is it just due to me hosing down the front of the car and it won't happen normally or what? I've got a pic of the water but it doesn't really show, it was about 0.5mm deep?

Anyone know the details for the screws? (pitch etc) The one in the speaker hole is missing on my rado.

Depending on the price I'd also be interested in a Sub enclosure Group buy.
