  1. I was stripping it down but I did get at the grill and popped the NS one. Have a feeling when I was tugging at it and the inner from underneath its pulled the inner right up the housing at the lever. Wasn't quite sure how the release worked so I think I've made it even harder for myself from loosing the inner up there! From what I've seen from how the release works on the drivers side does the housing pull/push something to allow the pin to release? Whats the score with manually releasing the pin? Its a VR so can't get my arm up to the pin, does anyone have any pictures on what I should be trying to move to release the drivers side?
  2. Scan my surroundings 110%, 110% of the time, looking out for french cars wanting to smash into me. I'm praying this VR is going to last longer than the G60! Turn the MFA to Oil temp as soon as I get in. Tilt sunroof if its not pissing rain.
  3. Have read a few threads and through the jammed bonnet Wiki but struggling getting my bonnet open. Cable has snapped at the handle and has gone into the sleeve so can't get at it with pliers, have cut about 1" off the housing to try and find the cable but he's crawled right up into his hole. :mad2: Managed to get the grill off at the bottom and can get a hold of the cable in the housing from there. pulled that and the Pass side bonnet popped. Struggling to get the Drivers side though. Can see the bare cable from underneath the car but can't get up to it with my arms so tried a coathanger bent with a hook on the end but all i got was a punch in the face and the pin isn't releasing at all. Tried having someone push down/pull the drivers side when I'm pulling the cable with the coathanger but its not budging. Any Ideas for me? been tugging the cable in the housing under the grill but the drivers side doesn't want to pop. If I were to pull the housing from the drivers footwell will it eventually come off and leave me with just the cable I can pull with pliers? Sorry for another thread about this, seen there was quite a few already..
  4. Not sure if this counts, but driving my VR6 up the road after buying it. First time dropping it into 3rd to overtake and hearing the note was amazing. Had such a big grin on my face. VR6's are definitely something else.
  5. Hatcha/Rinse/Keeve - 22 years old and I still ride bmx. - I'm surprisingly decent at making good food - I've only spent 4 weekends at home in 2010.
  6. Would have been taken off so the oil poured out steady and not glugging out. (Did I just make up a word?) My mate did this to my Valver after I sold it to him when he was rough on a Sunday morning. Wasn't too bad though and the engine was already a bit dirty. He's since cleaned it up completely though.
  7. Red L reg Rado at Garthdee Asda in Aberdeen yesterday. On TT comps. Looking very nice. Had TCF stickers on it. Didn't help with my Corrado cravings.
  8. From the comments in this thread I think I'm going to hold out a couple weeks till I see how my old Rado does in the MOT. I'll decide from there if I want to go for a mk2. Can always buy a mk2 as a daily when things get serious with the C.
  9. Thread should be re-named to "Put me off getting a mk2" That comment alone has swayed the Rado in favour...
  10. So after my G60 going to the Corrado Yard in the sky, I've been looking for something to replace it. Nothings been coming up that's taken my interest (in my price range) and decided to spend some of the money I got back from Insurance for flights to Vancouver to visit a mate. Which leaves me with just under £1000 to spend on a replacement. Been thinking about getting a Mk2 Golf as I've always wanted one, but wanting to know what it will be like doing the transfer from a Corrado to a Mk2 as I've never been in one/driven one. Just now I've got two options on what to do. Have been talking to my mate that bought my first Rado Valver and have come to the Agreement he's going to have a good think about selling it whilst he's offshore, and if he wants to sell it back he's going to MOT it for me and will sell it back for the price I sold it to him for unless I find something else whilst he's away. On the other hand I'm thinking about looking for a mk2, just to see what like. Especially since before I bought my first Corrado that's what I was originally looking for. Any input would be awesome. Thanks Keeve.
  11. Dear god, I've seen photos of this before but Its been made even WORSE!

    O MY GOD

Good to hear its all sorted!
  13. Theres a guide to removal at the end of the supercharger servicing page on G-werks. Thats what I used to remove mine and it was easy as pie! As for what its worth, I'm not too sure. Was it not bought new halfway through the cars life or am I thinking of another engine?
  14. I do actually have a autobra bonnet bra in the garage, may have to try it on (the car, not me) If you throw it on take a couple pics. :thumb right:

    Late to Early Dash?

The G60 never had ABS fitted! First one I come across without it, just remembered that and is making me miss it even more... :(

    Late to Early Dash?

Yeah I've got a an entire G60 so can get the bracket no problems. Will I be able to swap out the whole centre console part? Like the heater controls, cd player, ashtray part? will it be a case of unclipping it and clipping it back in or will I have to do some modification to it? If its the latter I may as well go the distance and re-locate the CD player to where the ashtray is meant to be and get a gauge pod made up!
  17. YES! Finally found out what that mystery hanging connection is!
  18. Very clean G60! Think a bonnet bra would look quite good on it as it is.
  19. Christ, I was about 2 foot from hitting a dog today! :pale: Driving home from work, someone thought it was a good idea to walk their dog in the dark, on a single track road, with no lead on an icy road!! So glad I stopped in time, pulled over and gave the owner a strong warning about keeping his dog on a lead. Noone wants to take their own dog to a vet, and noone wants to hit one!
  20. Done a search and seen theres a couple differences between the two. I've got a grey dash in my valver but i've got a full early black leather interior thats still in my G60. Will it be worth swapping the dash from the G60 into my valver, or should I just wait for a Late black dash so its more of a straight swap? Don't have many tools available to mod the early one to fit. Would be wanting to swap the heater vents too as i prefer the horizontal ones to the vertical ones, do these attach the same way to both dashes?
  21. I know how you feel mate. My sisters hit a dog before, just down the road from our house where there's a popular dog walking spot. She'd just taken off from a junction so it wasn't more than 10mph when the dog jumped out of a bush directly into the front of her Vitara. I got out to check if it was alright as it limped back to its owner, he just shouted "It's okay, its not your fault", to which I replied with "Yeah, i know, but you'll need to get that dog to a vet asap!" then he just carried the dog off back to where all the cars park. Seen him and the dog a couple weeks later with only 3 legs. :( My sister was pretty cut up about it, had to keep telling her nothing could have prevented it apart from the owner having it on a leash. Absolutely sucked to be put in that position though.
  22. Did you enjoy going through Aviemore?? That place is always covered in snow! I'll be getting my Corrado back in the next couple weeks but I don't have the balls to drive it about in this snow! I've been joking about how much it would suck driving a Rado up here in the snow with the snow plow attachment, and this is the 2nd lowered Corrado I've heard bouncing about up here.
  23. Has anyone sent a bumper through a courier before? Who did you do it through and how much did it cost? Cheers Keeve
  24. I'm sure I added these chufties but apparently not! On the night someone ran into the back of me in me 4th day driving my G60 :bad-words:. After calming down from the original rage of being smashed into, the boy in the car in front said "Mate, I'm so gutted for you! Seen you go past at Tesco and it looked and sounded amazing!" If that wasn't enough of a kick in the balls one of the policemen came over and asked who's car it was. I said it was mine and he said "Ah the pride and joy is this?" Said to him I wouldn't class it as that cause I've only had it for 2 weeks! Then explained it was off the road for most of it. Ended up having a proper conversation about Corrado's to him as he always wanted a VR6.
