Basically, highlights were Hammond sat in a car with McKenna to begin a test drive, suddenly Hammond forgets how to drive a car! Brilliant. Later, Mc Kenna makes Hammond beleive that the toy pedal car in the studio is Hammonds own Porsche 911, and he starts pedaling it around the studio thinking he's driving his real Porsche! Classic, and a bit worrying too!
-
...that was the best ever, soooooo funny! Especially the 911 pedal car incident

Might be worth asking your local friendly stealers for a print out of the drawings on ETKA for the rear struts? Usually quite a useful guide to what bits go where and in what order etc....
-
.....anyone know anything about such vehicles, numbers sold and what the uprating to the engine was etc. Any info in fact appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Agreed, Dent Devils fantastic, if they can remove a sharp dent from my door exactly on the crease line for £50 last week, with no sign of it now, they get my recommendation any day!

They'll never be even - the Iraqiis had bugger all to do with the attacks of Sep 11th! (can't even bring myself to use the stupid Americanised 9/11 terminology  ) Well said! Makes me sick to see Blair with his oh so sincere speeches, but what's the alternative, voting bloody Tory, I don't think so! Never thought I'd say this, but Blair has been one huge spine-less let down IMO. Sooner we distance ourselves from standing shoulder to ankle with Bush the better.

http://www.regtransfers.co.uk did very well for me. Friendly knowledgeable and hassle free. They have a good website with a special 'cheaper' section.

DelCorrado, Knew I should have got a dateless plate

Good to know VW is still doing it's bit to spread happiness all around the World! Don't worry, same over here in UK. So many things to resolve, so little time / money. But you gotta love 'em! :D

MikeVR6, Ah, erm, yes 'cheapie Northern Irish plates'!, to be sure :) Plate is from about 1971. Probably originally came from some sh#te British Leyland heap of crap  The N on the end is another bonus though because a lot of people at first glance read it as a UK 1995 - 96 N prefix rather than a 1971 suffix.

If it's got suddenly worse it suggests to me hydraulic problem, so I'd think you are on the right lines by changing the slave cylinder first off. Here's hoping....
-
Thanks, I thought so. Seems there is a God after all.! Couldn't beleive it was just sat there in amongst all the other Irish plate cheapies listed. Lucky! 8)

Is it just me, but as a pretty much law-abiding citizen it really pi##es me off to have the Police videoing me, legally driving to a legal event. I really resent it, and if anything it makes me feel very anti.! Not at all comfortable with an increasingly intrusive nanny surveillance state. Especially one that quite happily illegally invades another country with no legal mandate (sorry, went a bit Ben Elton there). Oh dear, suddenly we feel less safe from terrorism (the exact opposite of what was supposed to be achieved), que more state surveillance of the public in the interests of 'security'.

'AIR IS BLOWN OUT OF YOUR EXAHUST'.....yeah, no kidding!  Jeeeeesus!

Scott, I baulked at going for the full 3 stage 'system' , and just went straight to using Gold Class. Was it worth going the whole hog and going through the stages?

dubbprince, Think a lot depends on the quality of the job you want, i.e. a 'trade' job being at the lower end of the price range, or a 'perfectionists' job at the higher. Would have thought a London based place will cost you more anyway because of their higher overheads? Quality of the materials would be a factor, the best quality lacquers being a tad pricey.

I use it Megiuars Gold Class wax, seems rather good to me. Can't compare it to Swissol etc though as never used them.
-
Ermmm, is this bolt failure a problem with the 16v KR engine too??

Oh my, this was the beauty I was admiring so much at Inters.......immaculate, and stunning in silver and black leather 8) 8) 8) . Think I might even prefer this to my normal favourite combo of blackberry with black leather. It looked substantially standard, which is no bad thing in my book, in fact I think that was a big factor in my admiration..... Not jealous at all

True, the handbrake cables are relatively cheap at £10 to £15, until you realise that about the only thing that goes wrong with them is the rubber gaitor at the caliper end splits / dis-integrates and lets water in. In the cold of winter this then freezes your handbrake on, so you go to VW to buy the rubber gaitor for what you expect to be pennies, and they say sorry, can only get them with the whole cable assy, thatl'l be £30 plus please sir for the two!  VW never let you down do they! Come on GPC, there's a market here for you!
-
Doesn't need anything doing to it in my opinion, except maybe an eyebrow spoiler. Looks great as is !
-
Every 3k, now that's dedication! 8) Mind spose you get it cheap with 30 bottles of windscreen washer fluid, a haaaa! :D
-
Blackberry or dusty mauve.....nice, especially if you get black leather later 8)

I have heard through a body repairing professional friend that C & S Bodycare of Norwich are recommended, though don't suppose too attractive an option if youv'e found a decent place in Ipswich. May be worth a call though for the sake of comparing quotes etc.....01603 409569. I can certainly tell you of a few places to avoid in Norwich, but best PM me if you want those details!

Of course, forgot the Lupo wipers, doh, that has to be top of the list!
