  1. Now....this is the critical part.....you need to make sure the gear stick travel is the same in both directions (left and right) and then retighten the nut. In other words, the 'day light' gap between the moving parts should be equal at the limit of the stick's travel - on both sides. It's difficult to explain and I can't take pics (yet) as my car is at Stealth. You should see what I mean when you start playing with it. On David's picture above, parts 7, 8, 13 and 17 are the fellas I'm on about. 5) When you're happy the left and right planes are equal in travel, retighten the 13mm nut on the gearbox. Job done. Take out and road test. Just what I was looking for..My 5th gear can be a little hard to engage, not all the time but hopefully this little adjustment will sort it..Cheers
  2. If I hit any more curbs then I will be after another one :( Got a crack in either side now

Just now is started and the idle was about 800rpm, with in seconds the engine the tries to die and it drops to below 500rpm and almosts cuts out !! If my AFM was playing up would it give me these symptons??? Excuse my spelling

Well my Saturday started off ok and then  Firstly for some strange reason my C cut-out whilst reversing off the drive way when heading to Sainsbury's..It started up tho :confused4: Got our shopping and just as I went to pull onto the main A4 round-a-bout the thing cut-out and I managed to roll along a little..Lucky the wife has break-down cover and with in half an hour the car was back home. Having last w/end spent 100 quid on leads I thought what could this be :confused4: A good friend stopped and checked the coil pack  NO SPARKS..So off I went (after the car was taken back home) and got a new coil pack for 40 quid..ALL IS FINE NOW..

  20. Well I have had my Corrado for a month and thought its time to treat her.. I have just purchased a plug set, leads, cap and rotor arm..Cost me 100 quid :? OUCH I got a set of NGK plugs (BKUR6ET-10) and wondered if its safe to just the pre-set gap :confused4: If not does anyone have a manual stating what the gap should be
  21. Don't you get bored driving that distance at a constant 56 mph  Stuck to the speed limit going up...Well the sat nav only beeped a few times..Coming back was 70-80mph where i cud, unless speed restrictions were in place :confused4: And on the M4 thats a fair few   After doing 308 miles this week the total average turned out to be just over 34mpg..
