Hello Just been looking at the website and there are 2 widths 12 and 17mm any idea which one I need to order? Cheers Scott

I would be interested in this there are a few on the passenger side that I would like to replace, as said above which door seals are being reffered to?
-
Strangely enough I enquired about the passenger side one of these at TPS the other day which are now obsolete, driver side ones are still available new but from what I remember they are about £160 :( Cheers Scott

Right just spoken to VW about 'sender vacuum housing' part number 191 907 346 J, if they had one it would cost me £150:o but they are no longer in stock. Does anyone know if this was broken it would cause my mfa to freeze on the time screen? Also does anyone have a spare one of these I could potentially purchase? Cheers Scott

Thanks, I think I paid about £80 for the loom but I have a feeling DG have stopped producing them now, definately worth upgrading the loom though it makes quite a difference. The car may be up for sale soon, maybe you could add another silver one to your collection

Hello Thought I would post a few small updates, firstly I have replaced the red gear knob with a new vw black leather one (£30 with discount, usually £36) along with a gaitor I purchased off ebay: Fitted some ddi dials purchased in a group buy last year, along with this I also sprayed the needles with flourescent orange paint and mounted a uv bulb where the original bulbs used to be, the needles now light up along with the new dials. I have taken a pic but it doesn't doesn't really do them justice I have fitted a SWG scuttle panel again I purchased in a group buy last year, it was a bit tricky getting it on but its a vast improvement on what was there before: Also an updated headlight loom from dg auto tech fitted, very good quality bit of kit: I still have a problem the the MFA screen it is stuck on the time, we have so far replaced the wiper stalk, clocks, ecu and tested a number of sensors which seem to all be working. We have tested that when you press the wiper stalk you get a signal at the back of the clocks which you do. Does anyone have any ideas what to try next? There is a blue plug which the boost pipe plugs into on the back of the clocks which I haven't replaced yet I assume it converts the boost into an electrical signal, could it be this? Any help is much appreciated Cheers Scott

Stay well clear of TCS, the guy is dodgy. I would suggest looking at a few different cars before jumping in and buying one, Are there any up for sale on here? Cheers Scott

'Breaking' 16v 2l. Audioscape, Lenso RS4's + lots more
ridlymaca replied to .A.N.T.'s topic in Cars for Breaking
Hello If the Audioscape door pods become available again I am interested Cheers Scott -
The question about TCS comes up now and again I will always advise people to stay well clear of the guy speaking from previous experience. I went to view a 16v a couple of years ago after speaking to him on the phone (he sounded put out that he had to spend time talking to me) I should have given up on him then but I went to view it anyway. He gave me a postcode which I thought was where he traded from so I went to meet him there, it turned out to be his parents house and the car was on the drive already hot even though he said it wouldn't be. he told me the car was in good condition with no noticeable faults, well there was already a pool of oil forming under it, the front wing had been replaced and sprayed badly when I pointed this out he said he hadn't noticed this, sunroof didn't work, windscreen wipers didn't work! At this point there was no way I was buying this car but I took it for a test drive which is when it became apparent that it was pulling dangerously to the left to the point I couldn't keep it in a straight line, he said it was probably the tracking slightly out! It was more likely the accident the car had been part of at some time in the past. I preceded to ask about service history and surprise surprise there was a gap of 50000 miles in the history when he said it was FSH. He told me over the phone it had a recent service but it transpired that this was carried out by him if anything had been done at all. When I told him I wasn't interested he started having a go at me saying he is sick of time wasters. So what I'm saying is he is rude, he lied, he has had a few different eBay accounts (probably due to bad feedback) and he is certainly not a Corrado specialist. Since my experience with him I have told anyone who's asked about him to STAY AWAY. Hope this helps! Cheers Scott

Keskin KT4's, I have a set on mine only 7.5J though they look a lot wider!
-
Hello This is the one I bought, it says the seller is away until 25th March so you should be able to place an order tomorrow Cheers Scott http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-Beetle-Golf-Passat-Polo-Roof-Aerial-Antenna-Base-3-/360322452672?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item53e4e44cc0

Have you tested to see if you have power for the antenna supply? The issue you have sounds the same as what I had and replacing this wire sorted the reception out, Cheers Scott
-
I've also been having similar problems to you, first tested the antenna power at the aerial end which wasn't working even though it was connected. Then checked the head unit where it was also connected, so I then fitted a new antenna power cable from the haedunit up the a pillar and round the edge of the headlining. Unfortunately despite this now working the signal was no better so I purchased a new aerial base and hey presto i finally have a signal. Hope you get yours sorted soon!
-
Hello I may be interested in the wheels, do you have any pics at all? Cheers Scott
-
I had a similar problem to this and the plug in the back of the instrument cluster was only half plugged in
-
Put me down for a set please Cheers
-
I wouldn't go anywhere near this trader due to a previous viewing I had with him, there is plenty of feedback for him on this forum.

Hello I also have this fault I have tried replacing the stalk and clocks, neither of these have worked. I have also checked the sensors which all seem to be connected correctly in the engine bay. Sorry I can't be any help, if you find out whats causing it let me know because i'm not sure what to try next! Cheers Scott :salute:
