  1. Asda, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol yesterday evening at around 7pm. Dark VR6 with custom tinted lights, nicely lowered and what can only be described as a leftover piece from the Chunnel as an exhaust... L***WLD.

Nice one, Walesey! As Jim and Blair said, make sure you stick around. We (and some others too) have, and we're not driving C's (at the mo' ). The CF is a good place to be! :D
  3. Just seen this- glad you and everyone else is OK! Can't believe you all got out of this. Just shows, one moment of madness from someone and this (and a lot worse) can happen. Quite sobering really. Hope the insurance coughs up the full amount for you.
  4. Looking forward to seeing this! Well done Blue_Joe! Anyone else remember a Top Gear article involving a nugget yellow C? They were talking about depretiation? Have vague memories of this, but no one else I know seems to remember it. It would have been very early 90's I would think.
  5. They looked at one of my old VR6's and were brilliant! Excellent customer services. That was a couple of years ago mind, so it's possible things could have deteriorated since then.
  6. Saw blue G60 K***LAB down my road in Wotton this afternoon. Was there last week too. Aftermarket alloys and exhaust which sounds great!
  7. Kev, with all this praise for the Teg (and rightly so!) seems like you want one... I'd love a DC5, but I tend to agree with samm_cvr6 about the price. Brera looks superb, and don't forget the GTV. Doesn't anyone else rate the Vauxhall Monaro? The Top Gear guys love 'em. Have only sat in one myself, but think they look great and that engine + rear wheel drive must be awesome.
  8. Teg DC5 and 350Z. Agree with chrishill that the RX8 interior is vastly superior to the Z though. The Z interior really lets it down. Oh yeh, Monaro too(in either VXR or standard guise). Know it's a bit more pricey, but they're gonna be like hen's teeth in a few years and they're brilliant!
  9. Just before 6 tonight, spotted blue K-reg G60 complete with supercharged badge in Wotton-under-edge. Passed you parked up, then later just as I was parking at home, you drove past and parked at the bottom of my road. Anyone? Sounded nice!
  10. Two in a couple of minutes tonight around 5.10. First a purple valver, think it was a K-reg heading towards Tortworth near Wotton-under-edge. Then a dark blue VR driving through Charfield. Think it was an N-reg- sure I've seen this a couple of times now.
  11. Ice grey violet (VR6?), filling up in Blackwood, South Wales late Sunday afternoon.
  12. Agreed- lowered with nice wheels in a dark colour, they look good. With regard to the Sunny Pulsar GTI-R, had a play with one in my last VR a few months back. Started at around 50 mph, and he pulled a few car lengths quite quickly. Once in third however, different story! Cruised past him and kept going. Really miss third gear in the VR, it really is truly impressive.
  13. Yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon, N-reg VR, dark blue driving through North Nibley (Great name!) near Stroud.
  14. Think the 'Rex would win, although it would be pretty close. Obviously depends on the drivers etc, but as others have said, the VTEC is built to race. Really liked both my VTI's, especially the 1.8 which was more torquey. Agree with LHD-G60 that you do need to 'learn' to drive them- took me a while to get the best out of them. I found it was quite easy to get caught with your pants down in the 1.6 though, especially by TDI's etc. The thing I didn't really like was the steering was quite numb, and you can't drive quickly in a more relaxed way (like you can with a VR or G60).
  15. Just phone up VW with the VIN no, and you'll get an answer straight away. Remember, the Storm badges didn't go on at the factory- the Stealers had to put them on, so it could easily be in a slightly different position to others you've seen. Like the others have said, even if it turns out not to be a Storm, sounds like a bargain.
  16. Nice one! Does sound like a real bargain! Get it fully serviced and chains done (if not done previously). My last VR had done well over 200K (now belongs to Gazman and Rado-Girl :) ), but it was in just as good nick as any of the other C's I've had with much lower mileage. Just depends how it's been looked after.
  17. samm_cvr6, did you go to Nene? I was there 1991-4. Lived in Far Cotton, Kingsthorpe and Edith St near the town centre :)
  18. That's a shame- MrT is a GOD! 8) He he, like the new one! Shouldn't it be the other way around though?
  19. Heh heh, don't change it on my account! Mind you, if you can find a gyrating Darth, that would be even better!
  20. LHD-G60, you're the thief, sonny-Jim! Been using the gyrating trooper for... it's soooo long I can't remember! It is an excellent one though, so I'll let you off  LOL! Especially with the actions too!
  21. LHD-G60, just noticed your avatar...
  22. atif, yeh, looked in good shape. Must be having trouble selling it though. It was only £1800 and had done around 118K. Saw a dark blue N-reg VR6 parked outside Argos outside Cribbs Causeway today.
  23. Green J-reg valver with DTM exhaust and 3-slat grille parked outside Vue Cinema, Cribbs Causeway, Bristol this afternoon. Had a for sale sign in the window. Seemed in decent nick (apart from the exhaust!). Was half tempted to give the guy a call...
  24. Didn't Venom have a red project Corrado that had these lights too? Not my cup of tea...
  25. Need some back up here http://www.briskoda.net/forums/t33243-vw-corrado.html  'Shifty' needs some education! Get voting!
