  1. What about an Octavia vRS? You get the 180BHP 1.8 20v T engine, nice interior with plenty of toys. Especially good in Black Magic pearl. Mine is arriving in around 6 weeks time :D - can't wait!
  2. Silver J-reg heading towards Sittingbourne this morning.
  3. Go for a 1.8 16v. Cheapest to insure and buy, and along with the 2.016v and 2.0 8v the most reliable. Don't bother with the 8v- as well as being hideously slow, it's actually a group 16/17! (depending who you insure with), whereas the 1.816v is gp 15. Don't just buy the first car you see either- drive a few and take your time. It's very easy to get caught up in the moment- especially if it's your first performance car. blackcat16v's car looks like a good 'un.
  4. Have a look here http://the-corrado.net/.archive/forum/viewtopic. ... ox+ducting
  5. That's better than the induction kit! Try running in some ducting for cold air- do a search- it's been discussed a lot. HTH
  6. MPG may go down slightly, and you'll lose some power. Get yourself a CAI or drop a panel filter in and add some ducting to the airbox for some nice cold air. Fitting an induction kit in the engine bay is absolutely pointless, unless your sole objective is to get more noise.
  7. Be interested to see your results. Think the SX is the best value sports car around- you get so much kit and performance, the S14A looks great, and there aren't that many about, rear wheel drive etc etc.
  8. S14A 200SX!!! Talk to Scott on here- he's gone from a C VR6 to an SX.
  9. Prefer leather, but on hot days it's horrible! What other options have you got then? Not much difference outside, apart from the side skirts are they?
  10. Nissan 200SX S14A Touring! If I had £5-6k to buy a quick, reliable car would definately be a 200SX. You can pick up late low milers for that sort of money these days. Tuning potential is awesome- you can get up to 250 bhp relatively easily and cheaply. Leather, aircon and CD changer all standard in the Touring. The S14A looks really menacing too 8) Oh yeah, almost forgot- rear wheel drive too!
  11. I haven't am afraid. Did however see your 200 SX in a magazine! Looked absolutely fantastic by the way :thumbleft: Was surprised to see it wasn't a Touring though :?:
  12. Nah, wasn't me- honest! Mine was J18 ACC and was aqua blue, in pretty good condition. Loved that car, although it drove me nuts too!
  13. bristolbaron, just out of interest- what reg is your G60? Sold my old aqua blue G60 to a guy from Bristol.
  14. Gotta say, I haven't been too impressed with stuff I've bought from GSF. Shame, 'cos their service is excellent. Their replacement aerial/amp doesn't fit at all- the plugs have different ends and the bolt isn't big enough to hold it on anyway. Why advertise a part as being for a Corrado, when it's not even vaguely compatible? My GSF gearbox mount lasted 2 months before blowing and sending oily crap everywhere! Never had any probs with ECP stuff- do they have different suppliers?
  15. Off the line there's no contest, but like Funkster says, after a rolling start there's not that much in it. Beat a WRX once- was doing 70mph and he came flying up behind me- dropped into third and left him behind until he caught up at the next roundabout.
  16. Didn't Ally McCoist have one when he was at Rangers? Quentin Wilson and Nasser Hussain both had one too.

    Bastuck Exhaust

Have heard they're excellent. Come highly recommended by the German Corrado Club. Think a few more suppliers are doing them now in the UK.
  18. Running out of petrol at Westgate mini-roundabout in Canterbury in the middle of morning rush hour. Called a mate who turned up with some petrol after about 20 minutes. Just as I was driving off, he called me because he'd just run out of petrol too

    Tesco 99RON

They discussed this over at Briskoda.com a few days ago- sounds like it's pretty good stuff. As Kev says, hopefully this will force the others to lower their Super prices- Tesco are quite a market force these days!
  20. keizerschoze2002, insurance as follows (although some companies seem to change them slightly sometimes!) 1.8 16v 15 1.8 G60 17 2.0 16v 17 2.0 8v 16-17 VR6 18 VR6 Storm 19!!!! HTH Whereabouts in Kent are you?
  21. You could get a good VR6 for £4K. You could get an excellent G60 or 16v fo the same money. 16v is cheapest to run and maintain (unless you're unlucky).
  22. Nice one. I'll sort some pics etc out for you this week.
  23. Trev F, you are indeed a computer idiot! (rather like myself!). Mate, still no PM option or email addy :?:
